A wonderful introductory text. My favorite part was learning about the Sabbats. Especially Samhain. Incredibly meaningful and a beautiful way to process grief.

It was....fine. I mean it covers all the basics, but not in a particularly new, different or inspiring way. The author introduces the book as something a new witch can use to take their skills up a notch, but there's really nothing much at all in here that you can't get from any standard "witchcraft/wicca for beginners" book

This book is the follow up to In the Circle and where its predecessor was written for beginners, this book takes a more intermediate tone. I really enjoyed in the Sacred Round for it explores many different aspects that do not necessarily belong to Wicca but are a part of its practice, such as Chakra work and divination to name a few. Contained within the book are rituals and more spell work is contained in this book than the first one as well.

I read Sacred Round a long time ago and it was a little over my head. I plan to re-read this book as I have been practicing Wicca for many years now and I think I will have an even greater appreciation for this book.

The author Elen Hawke has to be one of my favourite Wiccan authors out there. Her writing reads like poetry and most importantly her voice is authentic. You will feel like you are learning secrets from a REAL Witch, which I think makes Elen an even more special.

If you are looking into delving deeper into the world of Witchcraft and Wicca, I highly recommend this book to you!
