Andrea Thome has taken a beautiful backdrop and woven a tale of new beginnings, new bonds and new love amidst the pain of loss, deceit and some unfounded insecurities.

Willow joins the Walland staff after personal events require her to move to Tennessee. Beautiful, intelligent and carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders, she still seems to be a perfect fit for this close-knit group.

Garrett has earned his dream job, working with the soil. The only thing missing is his girlfriend halfway

Reading Seeds of Intention was like meeting old friends for a vacation far away from it all. Andrea Thome’s characters from Walland return in book two of her Hesse Creek trilogy, but in this one we meet Willow, the new general manager of Blackberry Farm. She and Garrett, the new head farmer at the resort, have a couple awkward encounters at first, but then start dating and never look back. But a few wrenches are thrown into their plans and they find themselves in the Colorado Rockies trying to ...more

If I had to title this review, it would be, “One More Chapter.” Every time I finished a chapter, I would think that I would just read one more...and kept going! As the second book in the Hess Creek series, Seeds of Change was all that I had been waiting for and more. The story continues to bring the reader right back into the lives of the characters introduced in Walland and then go on to share the lives of additional characters and how their lives are intertwined. Ms. Thome has a beautiful way ...more

Book two in the Hesse Creek series is just as lovely as Walland. A beautiful romance in a gorgeous setting. Thome knows how to paint a picture that makes readers feel like they are in the same room as her characters. Her male protagonists, Garrett and Wyatt are likable, kind characters, unlike the brooding moody men you often see in romance novels. Her female characters, Willow and India are strong and accomplished. From Tennessee's Blackberry Farm to Aspen, this love story will keep you turning ...more

This story had potential. It needed a little more work on character development.

I went into reading this story without knowing that it's part of a series, which is a good thing because this book easily stands alone and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Sometimes when I read a story that's part of a series without knowing it, it tends to feel like I'm missing something, but not with this book. Each of the supporting characters are well written so that as a reader you grow to really like them. With that being said, now that I know this is part of a series, I want to read Walland ...more

Seeds of Intention is book two in the Hesse Creek series. Here, I not only got more time with Wyatt and Indie in their next chapter of life, but I got to know Wyatt’s right hand man, Garrett more. I was briefly introduced to him in the first book and learned how much he enjoyed his love of planting and farming from the farm’s resident heirloom star, Finn. After a health scare leaves Finn in need of some down time, he officially passes the torch to Garrett to take over the coveted position. His ...more

Somewhat unrelated but still related to the book. I grew up watching Andrea on WKYC in Cleveland and was a big fan of her husband who played for the Cleveland Indians. That kind of drew me into putting the book on my to be read list.

Just like I mentioned elsewhere, Walland and Seeds of Intention, aren't my normal kind of read. It's a romance novel with the right amount of sap and drama. It had the perfect balance of both

Review: Seeds of Intention is a sweet romance that feels as if you are experiencing the beautiful resort of Walland with them. Garrett is a man pursuing his passion for heirloom farming under the guidance of his mentor and owner of the lush resort Walland in the Tennessee mountains. Williow is the new general manager who keeps running into Garrett at the most inconvenient times putting them in awkward situations.

I loved this book! I felt that the author's descriptive prose transported me into both the Tennessee and then the Colorado mountains. I look for books that can help me to briefly escape my everyday life and Seeds, not only met, but exceeded my expectations. Now, I can't wait for the last chapter of the Hesse Creek Series. So far, I have fallen in love with each of the characters in Walland and Seeds of Intention. (And possibly just a little bit of lust with Wyatt and Garrett.) I am excited to ...more

I could not put the book down. I read it in less than 24 hours. The characters are likeable and people you could be friends with. Sequels are not usually not good as the first book, not the case with "Seeds of Intention" it was better. Walland was great , but this was Incredible . "Seeds of intention" has heartbreak, romance, friendship, suspense and twists that one does not see coming. I went to bed with the book next to me so when I woke up I could start where I left off. Andrea is truly ...more

I read Andrea's first book in the Hesse Creek series and couldn't wait for Seeds of Intention to come out. I devoured the whole book in one sitting on a long flight and couldn't put it down! Seeds of Intention seamlessly transitions and develops not only two new adorable protagonists Willow and Garrett, but also takes us on a journey to one of my favorite places in the world - Aspen! No worries, we still get plenty of our Susan, Finn, India, Wyatt, Violet and Rex "fixes" as we follow the ...more

Seeds of Intention is the second installment in the Hesse Creek series and even better than book one, Walland.

Garrett Oliver has just settled into his job as heir apparent to one of the most renowned master gardeners in the country. Willow Armstrong is coming home to care for her ailing father. As Garrett and Willow are thrown together by work, an undeniable magnetism grows between them.

If you are looking for a story that embraces a sense of community, love, laughter, and a healthy admiration for all things nature, then Seeds of Intention (and the rest of the Hesse Creek series) is definitely for you.

Garrett is a stand up man who faces a serious set back to his future plans at the beginning of Seeds of Intention, but that set back is necessary to put him on the path to Willow and everything that she has to offer.

Willow not only walks into Garrett

I won this book as per of a Goodreads giveaway. Romance isn’t my preferred genre and I was pleasantly surprised. It took me a few chapters to get into the story, but once I did I felt the story was compelling. This book is a nice, light, weekend read.

If Walland was hot and heavy, Seeds of Intention is a slow burn — in the best way. We meet Garrett and Willow and immediately root for this couple. (Side note: It's fun to see India and Wyatt from the first Hess Creek book (Walland), but you don't need to have read the first one to jump head-first into the second. It definitely stands on its own two feet.) Seeds of Intention creates real-life (if delightfully, nearly-impossibly beautiful) characters with real-life struggles. Thome dives into ...more

The most captivating book I have read since the first book in the series, Walland. No other adjective correctly describes the book than captivating for the story line leaves you emerged in the lives of the characters. You can feel the emotions of the characters, from love to joy to disappointment and fear. High praise to the author for her talent to develop the characters and their relationships is impeccable. A great message is learned about carefully planning your own seeds of intentions and ...more

Andrea Thome is a new to me author and when I was asked to read Seeds of Intention, I was intrigued by the synopsis. And I was not disappointed.

I loved the ease that I felt as I started this book and as I got to know Garrett and Willow. The story is filled with great characters, people who are good and kind and who take Willow in like she is one of their own. And to have it set in the beautiful Smoky Mountains was an extra bonus.

The relationships throughout the book were inspiring. I loved the

This is the second book in the Hesse Creek Series. I really enjoyed Walland and several old characters are back and we have picked up some new ones as well. The story is captivating. I'm glad it's not an overwhelming amount of drama like many of the contemporary romances. Andrea has a great talent in submerging her readers into the story and keeping them engaged all the way to the conclusion.

This book was just as good as the first one. I'm also thankful for the lack of cliffhangers. I'm looking

This was a book with characters that just drew me in. Well-rounded, complex and personable, they just were so alive and had so much depth that I felt like I knew them. This is a perfect read for getting lost in a story and falling in love with characters like these. Absolutely want to read more of her books.

Seeds of Intention
Written by: Andrea Thome

The second book in the Hesse Creek series. Old friends are back, new friends arrive and the adventure begins. Romance, suspense, travel, and more all beutifully described takes the listener inside and lets them become part of the story. A great listen that leaves you satisfied yet makes you anxious for the next adventure with this group of characters.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Marnye Young's voice is very engaging

A Tennessee setting of a luxurious get away venue focusing on the story of Garrett and Willow creates an easy to read, flowing novel. There are almost but not quite too many events happening throughout the story. Fortunately, the events unfold over time but feel closer together. All so work, ultimately, for the building of Garrett and Willow's relationship but each interjection slows the process.
Garrett is the new caretaker/farmer for the venue's heirloom vegetable ranch. His love of the land
