This review originally appeared on BrizzleLass Books.

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the Templeton Cove series, even though I came to it mid-way through and so I was over the moon to receive an early copy of the seventh book in the series Ethan’s Daughter from Rachel Brimble. This was a little different to the other books in the series I have read taking it far more along the romantic suspense lines. I will admit to not being someone who generally picks books up that wander in this direction but I

Ethan's Daughter is book 7 in the Templeton Cove series but it is the first book I have read by Rachel Brimble. I feel it can be read as a standalone though there are characters mentioned that must be from the other books.

Leah is a nurse who finds a little girl alone on the beach. She takes her home to find her dad is none other than Ethan James, a famous writer and recluse. Ethan is hurt and she discovers he was attacked by his ex-wife. She immediately tends to his wounds and the more time she

I always enjoy a visit back to Templeton Cove! I enjoyed the characters a lot, and the plot was interesting. I somehow wanted a little more from Ethan & Leah, but overall a good read!

Best selling author Ethan James is enjoying his life as a bit of a recluse as he pumps out his next thriller in Templeton Cove, but his daughter has other ideas when she brings home a visitor! ER nurse Leah Dixon is ready to give this child’s father a piece of her mind .. then she realizes who he is and winds up sma

**RATING 4.5**

ETHAN'S DAUGHTER by Rachel Brimble is an action-packed tale of romance and suspense and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thrown straight into the story we meet Leah, a very dedicated and compassionate nurse whose job is her entire life. But all of that changes when she comes across Daisy, a delightful seven-year-old girl with a handsome and infuriating father, Ethan. Wanting to help this single dad who seems so isolated and alone, Leah does what she can for him and Daisy even when he makes

I previously read one of Rachel Brimble’s ‘Templeton Cove’ books: “Saved by the Firefighter” wiggled its way into my heart and stayed with me for quite some time, so I happily picked up “Ethan’s Daughter” to get lost in during a weekend. The cover is appealing, as are all in the series. And the story was just as appealing, pulling at the heart strings and making me smile in turns.

I’m a rather reclusive writer myself, so falling in love with brooding yet charismatic Ethan was easy for me. His lo

Ethan's Daughter was as story that kept me tied up in knots cover to cover. And since it brought out all of my dramatic emotions, I had no choice but to give it a perfect rating. Ethan James is a best selling author of thrillers, who's also a single dad. After a rough divorce, he has made himself Templeton's most famous recluse, as he's bound and determined to keep his daughter safe from everything. And he really doesn't believe that there's anything wrong with that until he comes face to face w ...more

This story has a good mix of romance, intrigue and suspense. Leah finds a little girl on the beach throwing rocks into the water during a rain storm. Leah takes Daisy home and Leah is not thrilled with the father not watching his daughter and allowing her to play on the beach unattended during a rain storm. Daisy's father is the famous author Ethan James that lives in Templeton Cove. Leah is drawn to the little family especially after learning that Ethan was attacked by his ex-wife and needed st ...more

Harlequin SuperRomance feature stories with small-town vibes, close family ties, big dreams, and sweet romance with a little intrigue thrown in. Rachel Brimble’s latest book is just that and a little more. Ethan’s Daughter takes us back to Templeton Cove where we meet Ethan, Leah and Daisy. Brimble’s rich prose and vibrant descriptions is stunning. It draws you in and keeps you turning the page. Crisp repartee and a fascinating cast make for an entertaining couple of hours.

I have read a couple of Rachel Brimble's books in the past including Saved By the Firefighter which is book 6 in the Templeton Cove Stories. So I was eager to continue the series but what did I think of book 7...

I loved that Ethan is such a loving and protective father, Rachel Brimble has managed to create a wonderful and caring man but with a few flaws too. It's lovely to see the relationship with his daughter Daisy. Daisy is such a cutie and all the way through the story you could really feel

This is the seventh book in the Templeton Cove series. It is also a first Brimble book for me. The book has got a mixture of several genre's you have suspense, romance, and a little of a thrill. I am still a little uncertain of my opinion of the book. I adored parts and have mixed feelings on other's. Overall it was a good read.

Ethan is a wonderful father and evidently a great writer. Leah loves with her whole heart and carries her feelings for those she cares for on her sleeves. I adored little

I really liked this book. I'm always a sucker for a single dad book. The suspense element of the book really pulled me in. It kept me on the edge of my seat. Daisy, Ethan's daughter is precious. She's too cute and I fell in love with her instantly. Ethan doesn't trust easily for good reason and having Leah push her way into his life doesn't settle well for him. Leah is a nurse so she kept help, but want to help anyone hurt that includes Ethan. Leah is exactly the person he needs in his life, but ...more

ETHAN'S DAUGHTER (Templeton Cove #7) by Rachel Brimble

What an intense story. When I started reading this I was hooked from the beginning. A parent will do whatever they can to protect and love their child.... Well ok, most parents. While Ethan's Daughter is Templeton Cove's 7th story and has Leah from previous books or can be read as I did as a standalone story. Leah an ER nurse finds a little girl standing alone on the beach one evening after work. Instead of calling the authorities she walk

Well, here we are back in good old Templeton Cove. My kind of place! I love how Rachel Brimble has created a town that always invites the reader back with a new story that fits so seamlessly into the series and can always be read as a standalone. If you haven't read any of this series I strongly recommend you do.

This is the first book I read by this author, and was intrigued by the synopsis and decided to give it a try.
It’s an interesting story about Ethan James, a recluse novel writer, his daughter, Daisy, and Leah Dixon , a woman who while walking to her home in the rain , finds little Daisy by the water with no adults supervision. She befriends the girl and once she finds out where she lives , she is bound and determine not only to take her home, but give her father a piece of her mind. When he opens

Wow, what an awesome read! Ethan's Daughter by Rachel Brimble is fantastic. Ms Brimble has delivered a well-written book and loaded it with amazing characters. Leah and Ethan's story is filled with drama, suspense, humor and spice. I confess I stayed up till 4:30 am reading this book, I get away with that being single and disabled. I enjoyed reading Ethan's Daughter (and she's a little sweetheart) and look forward to reading more from Rachel Brimble in the future. Ethan's Daughter is book 7 in t ...more

ETHAN’S DAUGHTER by author Rachel Brimble is August 2017 release by Harlequin Super Romance series.

Nurse Leah Dixon is your average caring personality. She is a carer. A nurturer. So when she came across a small child alone on the beach, she was seriously pissed off. And took off to give the parents a piece of her mind. Yet, when she came face-to-face with single dad, reclusive writer Ethan James, and saw he needed medical attention, she goes into her caring mode and stitches him up.

You are going to be disappointed with my review. I usually fan girl all over Ms. Brimble but today I’m not. Why? Because I don’t need to anymore. She is one of my all time favorite authors. She always delivers the goods and I can say that since I’ve been reading her books from the very beginning. So my question for you is, are you reading her? If not, why? She writes emotional, tender, at times snarky with characters that you can easily relate to. Yes, relate, too.

There's a reason Super Romance's are called Super Romance's and this one nails the category perfectly.

Ethan and Leah are great characters and Ethan's daughter really adds to the story. I settled down to read this is a rainy day and I'm glad i did because once I got started I didn't want to put it down.

Rachel has a wonderful way of weaving the tale and mixed with great characters and sound description, this latest addition to Templeton Cove was ab fab!

Daisy is Ethan's main priority. Ethan is a single dad and being there for his daughter is incredibly important to him. He doesn't leave much room in his life for anything else. He's a successful writer and a good dad, but he hasn't got any friends and dating is something he won't even consider. That changes when he meets Leah. She's a committed nurse and immediately helps when Ethan needs someone to take care of him. Ethan likes this new development in his life, but should he let her come close ...more

Another Templeton Cove story, but this one didn't grab me as the others have. Ethan James is a thriller writer attempting to raise his daughter quietly in the little town, but his reclusiveness means his daughter has little opportunity to make friends. When nurse Leah Dixon finds Daisy alone on the beach, she takes the little girl home and proceeds to tell the surprised father what she thinks of his apparent neglect of his daughter.

Thus begins the back-and-forth between the adults who alternatel

I've got to admit, I wasn't blown away by this story. I wanted to love it (just look at that cover) but it never really grabbed me. Usually a book like this can be read in a day or two but I really struggled to finish it as I never connected to the main characters.
I thought Ethan was a bit wishy-washy and changed his mind frequently about how he felt about things. Maybe this was suppose to be growth in his character but he just never really clicked for me. I was especially incredulous of his re
