When is Saturday?
Plot: Grover learns the days of the weeks when his mom makes a calendar for him to count down the days until his Uncle Georgie arrives for a visit.

My Thoughts: Don’t you just HATE it when you have to count down the days until that big trip, or that movie debuts that you’ve read the book and are DYING to see if they get it right? This is another book that I grew up with and now read to my children. One of the first books I read, it was great at helping the kids learn the days of the week, and I use it frequently when we are waiting for something exciting to happen. It is one of those books like a good friend that is always there when you need it. I have found especially with Sesame Street books, when you don't care what you sound like and start to mimic the voices, it makes the book more fun for all ages (we started read ...more

I've always liked Grover stories since I was a wee one. This book is a nice peek into the everyday life of the original cute furry monster (and also an attempt to teach the days of the week to my daughter).
