If you like space opera, you’ll love On the Shores of a Dark Sea. Inside you’ll find exploration, first contact, and enough conflict to burn a moon to dust. On the Shores of a Dark Sea, Book 2 in the Dark Seas series, is a sequel to The Anvil of Dust and Stars. As the author I highly recommend you read Book 1 first.

Dark Seas Opens Up

The second Dark Sess novel takes place in a single star system, but opens up to a larger cast of characters. The author excels at making you feel what his characters feel, so more of them in the center of the action is always welcome. The final twists and turns are wholly unexpected. As a result, though the characters have a good idea what's coming next, you as a reader are sure that book 3 will have more surprises in store. Highly recommended.

Wow

Well that was a very well written storyline which I totally enjoyed.. As we are in lockdown and we are classed as vulnerable due me with cancer and my partner with copd.. I have been able to read a book in a day and half lol.. I have about 6 sci-fi authors which I now enjoy so bear with me as their books become available and are part of a series I will switch lol

On the Shores of a Dark Sea (Book 2 in the Dark Seas series)

Love a kick-ass heroine? Love Space Operas? Want to see how late the two together can make you stay up reading?

Damon Alan’s On the Shores of a Dark Sea is for you. Captain Sarah Dayson knows how to save her crew and better yet, all humanity, from The Hive (and trust me, you want to stay as far away from them as possible) by hiding away on a rogue star. But there are other powers at work, from a mysterious force that threatens to bring

Simply marvelous

I'll admit to not being a rabid SF reader, but this book and Alan's first had me riveted from start to finish. Wonderful characters in an exotic universe great action, moral dilemmas, fun technology, Alan's got the right stuff. Do yourself a favor and grab this great read.

Damon Alan was born in Columbus, IN in 1966. He grew up in different southern Indiana locations, moving many times in his youth. Wherever he went, he was always the geek in the crowd, developing an early love for science fiction and fantasy. An avid fan of early sci-fi on TV, he hungrily consumed what was available and was upset if he couldn’t be Spock on the playground. That’s not doing a good jo ...more
