I read the first Mob Tracker Series Book (Sweet Retaliation) and fell in love with gruff detective Trace. I didn't think it possible to enjoy a book more than the first one, but I absolutely did. The characters were developed even more, there were more characters introduced and I saw the side of some characters that I didn't expect, and then some that I thought - 'knew it' when they were revealed.

Surprises, suspense, sensuality .... all contained in this book. The writing at me at the edge of my

Sweet justice - not yet!

Sweet justice is the sequel to sweet retaliation where we met Cassi for the first time upon her witnessing the murder of her brother and then when she is saved by Detective Trace Maguire. The story picks up almost straight after the last, where Trace tries to distance himself from Cass as she refuses to let the murder of her brother go. Trace experiences loss of his own this time around, and a twist in that regard that I never saw coming. A little slower paced this time a

As entertaining as the first book in the series. I couldn't stop reading! Very well written, compelling, and with complex characters - some of whom sometimes slink along the line of good and evil incredibly convincingly. A good bit of romance, but romance isn't the main driver of the storyline. Neither is revenge, although you'd think so from the beginning. Rather, this is a beautifully composed story of maturation, family, strength, friendship, and letting go. Can't wait for the third instalmen ...more

“Sweet Justice” is the second book in Mimi Barbour’s Mob Tracker series. It was another great read with a lot of action and a terrific story. As Cassi continues her hunt to find her brother’s killer, she becomes involved even deeper with the gangs of Las Vegas, and the danger level gets kicked up several notches. Will Cassi get her "Sweet Justice" before she gets in too deep? Another Mimi Barbour must read! ...more
Starting to drag

On the one hand the story is decent and moving along. On the other hand, to me, it is also starting to drag a bit. Could be the fact I am doing a marathon read so after all the 'read in order' warnings, all the back story feels redundant. Speaking of redundant, repeating an event from each point of view is not my favorite way for an author to increase word count. I find more eye roll worthy than adding to or moving the story. All of that being said, the story is still holding my

Awesome continuation. The story is still good. It doesn’t feel dragged out, it just keeps getting better. Still love Cassandra and Trace. Love Sam, maybe he needs his own series. Can’t wait to see how this ends.

Sweet Justice

I'm still enjoying this series of stories and can't seem to walk away. I did laugh heartily with the editing problem with Sergio Mandalis becoming Sergio Mendes for one chapter, I was waiting to hear the music. lol
