This is the fourth book in the VV Inn series. I really enjoy the story: C. J. has quite a lot of imagination. I like Vivian/Dria more than I did before; she doesn’t seem as hard or glib as she used to seem to me. Either she’s softer or I am. Hmm

I tore through the earlier books in this series last year. And I do mean TORE THROUGH THEM. As in, I couldn't get enough of Vivian/Dria's crazy, whacked out world and the sexy, often dangerous shenanigans that went along with it.

I adore her relationship with her husband. I like how hard she fought against adding anyone to her seethe, but how she did it anyway when it was needed. I just... like her, She can be ruthless when she needs to be, but she loves with all her heart and she will protect th

My favorite sexy red headed vampire is back for another exciting V V Inn adventure! Vivian & Rafe stay in Buenos Aires and summon Vivian's vampire servant Jon to join them in search of the missing vampire villain Rolando. The trio enlists the help of the young wizard Justin in finding their evil foe. Some very interesting new characters are introduced.....witches, a sexy werewolf and lots of magic takes the reader on a wild and crazy coaster ride in this 4th edition to the paranormal romance ...more

C.J. Ellisson writing it quite unique in that the books in her V.V. Inn series is told from first person and usually by 2-3 characters. She rotates characters’ POV through chapters, with each chapter being told from a different character. In Blood Legacy we get Dria/Vivian, Rafe and Jon’s POVs. I’ve come to enjoy this kind of story telling because we get the main characters’ thoughts and a bigger picture of what’s going on.

In Blood Legacy Dria/Vivian is still dealing with the events th

C.J. definitely knows how to flow the story very well in each of her books, and builds up the story to an exciting ending. C.J. also knows to keep the reader reading from each chapter by leaving you hanging at the end of each one. Hence, the reasoning behind not wanting to put it down because you want to know what happens in the next chapter and so forth.

I give this book 5 stars and highly recommend it to PNR/UF readers out there. If you haven't picked up

I loved it... BOTH times I read it!

Dria survived and is out for the kill to get down to business. Rafe finds himself a magic teacher in the end, and Dria isn't sure what to think yet. Jon is ready to go home for the first time. Can't wait until the team heads home to the others in the seethe to give an update on all that they've been up to. This is definitely a busy book and lots of stuff has happened in a short period of time. Love, love, love it.

You’re about to get some answers! The characters we love have had enough. It’s time to solve the mystery of who is after Dria and why. There are also new characters and they are intriguing. I loved reading this author’s take on the magical community, it’s refreshingly different from other supernatural books I have read. Once again, there is mystery, humor, suspense, and steam! Another great read in the V V Inn series.

It was better then the previous book. The each person point of view wasn't as confusing. Still really good books.

Things are getting much more interesting and exciting in the world of the V V Inn. I think this latest addition to the series may be the best one yet. I was totally enthralled.

If you have been following the series you know Vivian – the vampire master – was badly injured toward the end of the last book, Big Game, and needed time to heal. In Blood Legacy we find that she has healed up well, but that both her and Rafe – Vivian’s human husband – have been changed. They are both even more protective

This was a great read! By far I would say this is my favorite of the series up to this point. I don't have the next books in the series yet, but I definitely plan to get them soon! The series is getting very good.

I'll start with the main issue of contention that began with the second book: the multiple perspectives. In this book, there are only three POVs. As Ellison eluded previously, she brought this one back down from the six that previous books contained. I think the six were difficult to f

This is book 5 in V V Inn series and if you're as big a fan as I am, you've read them all but if you haven't read the others, I suggest that you start at the beginning.

This is an amazing series that's hot (sometimes really hot) sweet (Like stand the test of time sweet) as well as laugh out loud funny but so many of those in this particular story.

This book takes up not long after book four left off. Vivian (Dria) had been hiding out after barely surviving silver poisoning from a couple of vampi

A long waited addition to the VVInn series.
I'll try not to spoil anything.

First off:
One piece of advice, for you established fans, reread the series especially the previous story. Just to refresh background information/plot etc. in your mind. I struggled with trying to remember plots/info from the previous books and novellas.

Now for the main:
It took a while for me to really get into the book. At first, Dria is suffering from PTS and is not her usual self.
A lot of the preliminary cha

Vivian has survived her torture and only one of her captor's is still at large. She nearly died. Now she will track down and kill Rolando. Rafe, her mate, is in Buenos Aries preparing for her arrival. What dangers will they face? Vivian is such a strong and compelling character. I enjoy following her dangerous exploits. The passion she shares with Rafe is amazing. When they are together, sparks fly and danger surrounds them. Vivian is unstoppable. Her courage and foresight make for a compelling ...more

It's been awhile since I read the last book of series. However, C.J. Ellisson does a great job catching the reader up without bogging down, but wish I would have reviewed Big Game before starting this book to make sure I haven't forgotten any detail or nuances. I approached this book with the assumption that it would be a simple "Get Rolando" plot. Boy was I underestimating the book; it was that and so much more. Ellisson expertly weaved together other -- at first glance -- seemingly disparate p ...more

Another captivating book in the VV Inn series with some great twists and turns in the plot. It is told from three points of view (Dria's, Rafe's and Jon's) and once again it takes you on an action packed journey of intrigue, suspense and sensuality. The friend/foe relationship between Rafe and Jon never ceases to entertain but it is perhaps becoming less antagonistic as Jon pulls away from his obsession to with Dria, to becomes more invested in his new love interest (which his Vampire Master is ...more

Another hit for the V V Inn and the most wonderful C.J.!!

LOVE IT! I'm such a big fan of the V V Inn series, and love how this one focuses in with our three characters, Drea (or Vivian) vampire manipulator extraordinaire, her super sexy hubby Rafe, and the ever chunky Jon (Drea's blood servant). Drea is recovering from the torture while imprisoned by her own vampire counsel. Rolando is still MIA and Drea wants him found and interrogated for his part in the imprisonment, but Rafe and Jon want some

Another great book in the series. Rave and Dria are still in Argentina, but they have traded out Drew and Paul for Dria's servant Jon. They are still on the hunt for Roland, and now Persephone shows up for some added fun.

Justin the wizard is now a big help since some added magical killer are thrown in. Add a sexy female werewolf that can change so she is both wolf and human. Who is giving Jon some trouble as his and Candy's relationship grows stronger and is still a secret from Dria.

When I first started reading Blood Legacy, I had to catch up because I hadn't read the rest of the books in awhile. But I managed to catch up withing just a few PAGES because of C.J.'s descriptions. I couldn't put this book down, I read it in under a day! Creative cliffhangers at the end of chapters really push you to keep reading. The story itself is intriguing and captivating and I felt really invested in Dria, Rafe, and Jon's adventures while trying to find Rolando and figure out why Dria was ...more

Blood Legacy is a continuation of the Vampire Vacation series. This book starts where Big Game leaves off. Vivian is recuperating while Rafe is scouring Buenos Aires for the vampire that caused his wife harm.
Rafe and Jon, both have leading roles in this story. As Vivian's protectors they both are tossed into situations that test their abilities.
Twists abound in this continuing saga. Answers to why Vivian was so cruelly tortured in Big Game are revealed, and her darkest fears seem to be coming

AWESOME (little spoilers)

I would love to give this more stars if I could! This is another book in the V V Inn series and they just keep getting better. Vivian, Rafe and Jon are on a mission to find the nasty vampire that helped get her taken and abused. She almost died if not for Rafe her mate. They come back to get revenge and find something else that needs taking care of .

C.J. Ellison does it again. I thought the characters continued to evolve and the relationship of Dria, her husband Rafe, and Jon was interesting to follow. Trouble seems to find Vivan wherever she goes and even sometimes she goes looking for it like when the hunt is on for Ronaldo. The idea of a vampire council of the elders was interesting to watch as it continues to unfold. I thought it was a little slow in the first few chapters recalling events like the silver poisoning from the previous boo ...more

I was priveledged to receive an ARC of this, the fourth in the VV Inn series.
This is set in Buenos Aires, as Dria (Vivienne) recovers from being tortured by the ancients. With her beloved husband, Rafe and trusty werewolf servant, Jon by her side, Dria sets out to uncover the mysteries of several unnatural killings in the area.
A gripping, edge of the seat tale of of witches, wizards, werewolves, shifters and creatures thought to exist only in fairy tales. With a few steamy scenes between the hus

The long awaited next installment of the V V Inn series is finally here. Was the wait worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!!!! C.J. has taken our beloved heroes/heroines and the readers on a whirlwind roller coaster ride. Blood Legacy has such amazing imagery that you feel as if you’re right there going through the feelings, battles, love, suspense…it grabs you by the seat of your pants and away you go. quick read

The multiple view points was probably my biggest issue with this book. Sometimes its good to have different perspectives...just not every chapter. There were times when the POV changed and I wasn't quite ready to have it do so. I think by changing POV so much the reader lost the intimacy and sassiness from the first couple of books...there wasn't enough time to get the full picture.

I do like these characters and the storylines are quick and easy to read. We'll see what is in store for

Suspenseful !

This one had me biting my fingernails and sitting on the edge of my seat, not just because of the physical dangers the characters faced but also the emotional minefields they had to navigate. I caught myself cringing, reading with one eye open, muttering "no, no, no, don't do it" under my breath, and turning pages as fast as I possibly could. If you've read the previous books in the series and grown attached to the characters like I have, then this book is a roller coaster ride. I

This is the best of the v v Inn to date. Dria and Rafe are still in Brazil but they have sent for Jon. There have been a string gruesome murders that seem to be linked to the wizard Justin. Dria decides to investigate. Meanwhile, Jon has met with the Alpha of the local pack who is female and has the ability shift partially. They soon discover that the murders are a trap to lure Dria into a meeting with a manipulator vampire who wants a list of all her children so they can recruit them for unknow ...more

I was so excited for this installment of the next VV Inn series. It starts right where you left off and the storyline continues to build. C.J.
