I really liked this book and the writing, but somme little things ticked me off, so it's only a 3 stars rating.
The autor leaves little clues through the book about the perpetrator(s) and they are given to the protagonists who happen to be detectives, you see them but they don't. Because it was exactly the same in the first two books, it irritated me. There are a lot of "Oh, there is something there that must be important, but..." Well, Melba is supposed to be an excellent detective, but she rea

Here we are, back for book three of Jeffery Craig’s Reightman & Bailey series, and I’ve got to tell you I really like these characters and the things they get up to! I am so happy that I stumbled onto the first and second books when they first came out, and I’m really happy the story is continuing. In the current installment, Skin Puppet, the characters we came to know and love in the first two books are back center stage, and the story is set just af

On the heels of Hard Job, Toby Bailey and Melba Reightman have opened their detective agency. They are wrapped up in all of the opening and party and don’t really notice the disappearances in their area. That is until someone close to them loses their kid. Together, Toby and Melba start investigating the disappearances and find a child sex ring. Although the Feds have tried to solve this case, Toby and Melba will be the real heroes in the end.

I love these two, they work so well together solving

The characters in the Reightman & Bailey books are wonderful. As I read the books, including this most current one, I found myself wanting to just sit down and have dinner with these people. From the first book, Done Rubbed Out, I fell in love with Madame Zhou. What an interesting character! I love the sense of community and welfare the characters share. The author is adept at leaving a trail of clues that, as a reader, you don't realize is there, until all at once, you stop and go "holy cow!" T ...more

I really like this series. I like the mystery aspects a lot too. I never get bored, and there's very little lull in the books. My only wish is that there would be some editing for errors. That being said, I like the story so much that I didn't detract for editing. I look forward to the next book!

Relationship with Mitchell

Sony's relationship with Mitchell underscores the weakness of the plotting of these novels. The relationship, central to Book 2 of the series, is short changed in this book like the author is keeping it in his back pocket in case he needs it.

Love how the characters continue to develop. The suspense in this adventure is riveting. Most importantly, it calls attention to some of the most heinous crimes in our state and nation. I do wish for more diligent attention by the editors to the distracting errors and typos.
