I thought this a wonderful book with a backdrop of the birth of the a Republic of Ireland. I wonder there aren’t more books by this great storyteller.

Interesting subject, but I didn’t buy the protagonist or the main conceit of the story.

An intriguing story of politics and relationships spanning Ireland and America over 4 decades. A disarmingly enjoyable read.
