I was so excited to read a book by Olivia T. Turner. And finally, I already did! I loved it! A perfect OTT hero and a likable heroine. I just hope she's a safe author because I'd love to read every book of hers.
The story is about Logan and Candice.
She got arrested and she's only allowed one phone call. She called Logan to bail her out of prison.
She has a crush on him since she was 16 but she thought he sees her as his best friend's daughter. What she didn't know is that he's obsessed with her. He wanted her for so long but she's too young and not yet legal at the time.
I love how protective he is to her. That he'll do anything to keep her safe.
And there's a nice epilogue.

This was a quick read that was entertaining in a taboo way.
Candice is nineteen years old and has managed to get herself in some trouble, there is only one man that she can think of to call and although she knows he will help her she also knows he is the only man she will ever want. She has been in love with Logan since before it wasn’t right to be love him but she knows as her dads best friend he will only ever see her as a child. That is until he turns up to rescue her and she sees something in his eyes. She is taking her chance at the happily ever after she wants with the only man she wanted and forget the consequences.
Logan Taylor fell for Candice when she was a teenager and has berated himself for years, but he called him and she needed him he will move heaven and earth to make whatever is wrong right. And once he sees her in the police station he knows that their time has come and he is claiming the woman that she now is as his for always.
Steamy read perfect for a lunch hour.

On a side note I was disappointed that the h's dad just cut them off completely once he found out about them.... I kinda thought the whole point of "my dads best friend" was the dad having to figure out their new relationships with having his best friend and daughter together........ just my thoughts

I like that their mutual desires kicked in before Candice was legal, but Logan had (barely) enough control to wait until that was no longer a concern. I love what finally causes Candice to cross the line and make her intentions known. Soooo hot! 🔥💣💥
I'm not sure about the... talking to... Logan has with Matt. Olivia does frequently push the possessive / protective envelope but I'd prefer this part be a little less physical.

Right so sometimes i love to read trashy sex books because some of them can be quite fun and also all the seemingly fantastic sex (hello). Now, most of them like this one are just freaking hillarious with the way the whole sex fantasy plays out... I'm guessing seeing from all that i've read so far that the top fantasies for these authors are:
- Having a man that looks like serious beef cake. like you know those guys you see on Men's health magazine and like their muscles are just like well sculpted and you just want to throw yourself on them and go "take me"? yeah those kind
- Having a man who looks like a beef cake telling you he want's to plant his seed in you. Not sure what it is about babies, but damn these authors make their female characters lose their panties so fast when male MC goes "i want to plant my seed in you".
-Virgins.. You'd think with the whole liberation and all that having a virgin Female MC wouldn't be such a big deal. Boy, would you be so wrong. Apparently there's an appeal for that which is kind of weird now that i think about it, cos i doubt these books are marketed towards virgins. or are they?? or maybe they're trying to tell us men prefer virgins??????????????
Painless first time sex... LOL i know, i know but ugh it would be nice if there's a pinch of reality in these books.. Ok so for this novel the female MC is a virgin and the male MC is apparently well equipped.. and for her first time the sex position they go with is the doggy style.. Not here to give sex ed but ummmmmmm that position for a first timer and he went in like wham!!! and not even a whimper LOL.. starting to question everything really..
Always Horny.. I mean is the ultimate fantasy always to have sex and not have conversations??.. Like i'm thinking that would probably cut into my novel reading time, or series watching time.. I mean even when they shower, they want to have sex.. weird....
Ahh yes the lack of goals for the female MC. Gotta admit there are days when i get up and i'm like i wish i was married to one super rich Alhaji or like Dangote or Zuckerberg or well just some rich dude so i never have to work again. but i mean c'mon every single one of their goals is to be barefoot and preganant.
Fliritng with statutory rape: Likeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, i meannnnnnnnnnn.. This is a common enough thing dude is like some ancient age and he starts lusting after the girl when she's like 15 or something. i meannnnnn likeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Anyways don't get your brain cells twisted, this book was ehhh okay. Right amount of trashy i guess.

Wow! Another hot, steamy safe read from this author. I am looking forward to what else she comes up with next.

Plot: Candice manages to get herself into a little trouble and the only person she wants to ask for help is her father's best friend, Logan - the man she's been in love with forever. He's been holding back - she's too young - but now that she's old enough and has come to him, he'll do whatever is necessary to make her his and his alone.
Commentary: Candice has been arrested for breaking a bottle over the head of a guy who wouldn't take no for an answer (so it's not like what she did wasn't warranted - she wasn't in the wrong here). Logan is the only person whose number she knows that isn't also her dad. So she calls him, and it doesn't matter that they haven't talked in a while or that it's the middle of the night. He's there for her. Also he's a millionaire - aren't they all, lol.
I do appreciate when authors write this trope and make it clear that the H and h don't know each other that well - it's not like the h grew up with the H; she's met him just a few times and he's recently come back into her life. That makes it a little less squicky. In this story, there's the added fact that the dad disowns them both for getting together, so he's not in their lives anymore at all as a friend or a dad.

This is Olivia T. Turner's first book but it's the last one I read and her writing has definitely improved with each book. I enjoyed this book but it wasn't my favorite one of hers so far. Candice is 19 years old, attending college out of state to be near the man she's crushing on. Her dad is ex-military and was very strict with her and he definitely wouldn't approve of her lusting after his friend. Logan Taylor saved Candy's dad from being taken prisoner by insurgents when they were in the military overseas. Since then they've been best friends even though they live in different states. Candy gets arrested and instead of calling her father she calls Logan with her one phone call. Logan knows his friend would kill him if he knew the dirty things he wanted to do to his daughter but he's not sure he can stop especially when he sees her again for the first time in two years.

Un día estaba tonteando en un blog, cuando me encontré con esta historia. Y decidí leerlo por el morbo de saber "la historia de amor" entre la morra y el amigo del papá. Oh, por Dios.
Este libro es tan absurdo que da risa, lo juro. AL principio fue divertido leer esas weas sin sentido, pero luego hubo un momento en el que quedé asqueada y enojada por todas las tonterías que decían.
Para mí fue un libro muy malo, lo cual me hará recordar el por qué no debo leer este género.
P.D. No puedo darle una estrella, porque sería un regalo muy grande.

I really enjoyed this book. I devoured it in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. I cannot wait to read Olivia T. Turner’s next release. If you’re looking for a fast paced steamy romance with an older alpha then you will enjoy this book. I liked both the hero and heroine and the sexual tension between them had sparks flying.
I liked how alpha Logan is. After years of resisting temptation, he finally gave in to his need for Candice. I liked Candice and wanted her to finally get her man. I just wish this book were a little longer, I wanted more!
This story is hot and the epilogue/ten year’s later is just as hot!
