Kingdom of Ice is vibrant and rich. Elegantly poised, with a touch of spunk, romance, and action, this one is like a breath of fresh air. For lovers of meshed faerie tale retellings, you will adore this tale.

I absolutely loved Paula’s writing style. It was very elegant and vivid. I felt like I was walking in a dream world where everything was rich and vibrant. This one definitely had a gorgeous, faerie tale feel to it.

The majority of the story was heavy with a twisted version of Snow White. I en

2.5 stars. I have read and reviewed this book for SPFBO 2017.

Throne of Ice is a classic fairy-tale retelling with a fusion of Snow White and the Snow Queen taking dominance in the narrative.

What a delightful read! I was immediately hooked on Ms. Hunter's intriguing style of writing. Throne of Ice came alive in my very hands as I followed the character developments and the action that beckoned from every page. I simply could not put this book down! The story line is so well thought out, yet falls into place like pieces of a puzzle. Nothing was predictable, because every time I thought I knew what would happen next, something completely different caught me off guard. My suggestion is ...more

I was thoroughly enthralled! I have never been one to enjoy the old fairy tales but I could not get enough of this wonderful retelling of them. I could not wait to get back to the story whenever I had to put it down. The characters are so new and refreshing. I enjoyed trying to figure out what old tale Paula was referencing. She seems to add a little of them all. Your heart aches with theirs and your heart smiles when things go their way. I can not wait to delve into the 2nd book of this series. ...more
