It was his lips.
The way his stare sent shivers down my spine.
The way his rough voice whispered my name.

So I caved.
I did what I knew I shouldn’t.

But as quickly as he’s there, he’s gone.
Leaving me confused.
I hope I’ll never see him again…

Then I do.

He’s my new boss.
And he has secrets.

Ava Harrison I applaud you.
Sordid is a masterpiece.

Sordid will easily sit in my top reads of 2018 list. The writing, the story, the characters, the development, the connection, the intensity, the angst. EVER-Y-THING was STELLAR!

Who doesn't love a wounded hero?
Grant Lancaster is a tempting, sinful dish of a man. His wounded, broken life and soul drew me in and gripped me SO TIGHT. I was addicted to his cold demeanour, it made him seem s

Sordid: A Novel by Ava Harrison was a great read.
I haven't read anything by this author before and I do worry sometimes when dipping the toe into fresh waters how I'm going to find the current.
No problemo here, that current swept me along giving me a fantastic flowing ride from start to finish.
Sordid tells the story of Grant and Bridget, unknowingly connected through more than there chance meeting and dumpster dive.
Grant is utterly miserable and trapped with his life and

Holy smokes! This book was pretty flipping good! Ava Harrison gives good cover and even better epilogue!!
I mean, seriously, could this cover be any fucking hotter?? I have just one word for my reaction to this gorgeousness.

So, after I recovered from my covergasm and dived in I was very impressed. Ava Harrison is a new to me author. I've admired her covers and blurbs for a while and even purchased the previous books in the series, but my ARC whore tendencies always prevented me from reading

I was so looking forward to more of Grant. After getting to know him a little in the first book of the series Chandestine. He is so broody and just looks like a total grump. But he does have reason for this I guest. His life is a mess she was pushed out of his family over a woman. Who is now the the cause of all his problems. He doesn't talk to his family cause things have for one to far even though he needs them he is just to stubborn to admit it. Grant's life is a mess

This was a great emotional, angsty read. A hot, asshole of a boss under unimaginable stress... A young assistant desperate to keep her job, standing her ground with a need to prove herself... Add in incredible chemistry and a magnetic need to be together, only to be divided by life’s circumstances and blackmail... and you have one mess of complicated emotions and turmoil.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this series!

4.5 Inevitable CROWNS

Sordid is everything an angsty romance should be. Forbidden relationship. Seemingly insurmountable predicament. Sexual tension so think you feel it run over your skin like an electrical current. It is a tale of loss and gain, sadness and hope. It captivated me from page one.

Grant made my heart crack and splinter with each chapter. Seeing this strong and loving man brought to heel over and over again hurt, because Ava Harrison makes us see wh

Sordid is a standalone in the same world as Illicit and Clandestine. Grant Lancaster, yes that Grant Lancaster, the one who outs the older brother of Spencer from Clandestine. One huge question was never answered in Clandestine. Why was Grant usurped by Spencer in running the Lancaster empire? And oh brother, did we get the answer to this in Sordid. The answer was more than I, a simple reviewer, could ever have imagined. Every sing

This one was an ok read for me. It wasn´t as good as the first one and I found it sometimes very rushed, especially towards the end.

Well, darn it. I read a good book, and I want to tell you all about, well, all the things. Especially the part where (spoiler) and (spoiler) happened. And, you know how it says in the blurb that Grant has secrets? Well, he does...and one of them...spoiler.

Are you catching on yet? I want to talk about how much I enjoyed this book. And, I did love it. But I also want to tell you why. And, I can't because it would be a spoiler and I would ruin the fun for yo

If you’ve read Clandestine, you are sure to love and adore Sordid! Ava Harrison brings us back into the hot and sexy world of the Lancaster brothers, a place that is worth escaping to again! You don’t want to miss spending precious time with Grant. This broken, delicious man is sure to capture your heart and soul.

Grant tries so hard to keep his distance from Bridget. His cold and callous demeanor is a defense mechanism when interacting with her. It’s sad to see him fight every instinct he has to

Not sure why I even started 'Sordid', since it was already really hard for me to finish Clandestine. I'm seeing all those positive reviews and get mad at myself, dunno really why, but I do.
I find this book so ridicously boring and this whole image we got of the characters, like all that matters is their libido and attraction to each other. The insta-love is killing me but I am not even gonna touch that.
I had exactely 100 pages to go and found myself asking what possibly could happen in those 10

Whee! This book is so much sexy, angsty fun.

Grant Lancaster is perfectly tortured and delicious, and Bridgette is such a fun heroine. I love how she goes from being insecure and sort of lost in her life to strong and standing up for herself.

The chemistry between Bridge and Grant is fantastic. Their banter, their sexytimes... hello! So good. It's a roller-coaster, though. Grant has a lot of shit from his past life to deal with, and sometimes you might want to slap him... But that just makes the

OK, I am clearly in the minority here BUT I had the hardest time relating to anyone in this book:/

I also wished I had read at least Spencer and Olivia's story beforehand because I felt like I was in the dark with the whole family dynamics. Maybe that could have helped a little but all in all it was just ok at best for me!

Balancing between a 2 and a 3.

This book was just ok for me.

Honestly, I was bored. I skimmed pages.

I usually try not to because you just never know when something good will sneak its way into a paragraph, but, alas, I did. I faltered.

I'm not even sorry.

I was bored, alright! The characters fell flat for me. They weren't interesting AT ALL! Here's why:

OMG! Sorry, but everyone lacked real personality EXCEPT the skanky, up-to-know-good, whore of a soon-to-be-ex-wife. Like who are Bridget and Grant?

Ava Harrison never disappoints...

I always fall into the plot with ease Ava really is an exceptional writer.

Sordid was hot, frustrating, a rollercoaster, there were times I wanted Grant to grow a pair and I felt for Bridget and Grants dilemma.

Is a man a cheater if he sleeps with a woman, claims he is separated from his wife yet still lives with her for show or for business reasons? ..... You will have to read Grant's story and decide for yourself.

Let me explain a bit......

Expect the unexpected. That’s what I do every time a Ava Harrison book lands on my kindle. The ONLY thing I know to expect is to be left completely spent and with my emotions in a scrambled mess…. and Sordid was no exception to this. With every single word, every well thought out and delicately put together sentence, and every jaw dropping chapter, I was left holding my breath, gasping for air, clutching my kindle and muttering ‘what the actual F*#k.

I seriously enjoyed the heck out of this book! It was fun and angsty....Just what I was needing!! I loved Grant and Bridget's chemistry. Their back and forth banter was amazing. This for me was an edge of my seat kind of book that had my jaw dropping.

Ahh, I feel complete after finishing Sordid. Finally, FINALLY I got the answers I so desperately needed regarding Grant Lancaster. We find out why he and his family are estranged. And in knowing that, my view of him changed. I was so adamant in disliking him even though I didn't have all the answers. But I quickly changed my tune after getting his side of the story. Grant is torn. He is estranged from his family all because of Chelsea and now he meets Bridget and even though she is everything he wants and longs for he cannot have her. Chelsea gives new meaning to the word bitch. Bridget knows she can never have Grant but that does not stop her from wanting him. She is the only woman, let alone person who is not intimidated by Grant. He has gone through more assistants than anyone can imagine but Bridget wants to prove to herself she is worthy. This one was a beautiful, sexy and sweet office / forbidden romance and I really enjoyed it. Grant was so sexy even with all his faults and I really liked Bridget, she was super sweet. It had a lot of drama and family feuds but it was a nice and fast read and you'll definitely enjoy Bridget and Grant's story.

She’s the one person who makes me feel. It’s been so long. I never thought I’d feel that way again. The need. The desire. I thought that part of me had died. But she awa

I'm a huge fan of Ava Harrison's writing. She has a writing style that suck you into a book and make the rest of the world disappear.

This book is not the exception. The story was catching and then you are so curious if what happen when the sh*** happens.
Let me tell you something, Grant is a as***e and in t he beginning of the story I've a hard time to let him in. I read a few chapters and I was like: no, you are

Recommends it for: all who are looking for fast and highly emotional read
Beautiful, emotional, super fast and hot read.

Often when I need some read to pick me up I choose books that are sensual and emotional. Where characters are not perfect, where they are damaged and where everything is electrified. These kind of stories are like drug to me. They bring me high fast and I can not put the book done until I finish the story.

When I started reading Sordid I was looking for this kind of story, and I got it. It was everything and more. Beside that Ava Harrison writing is
