When Lizzy Was Afraid of Trying New Things

Lizzy was very shy. She was also afraid to try anything new. She wouldn't even try the fun games that Fuzzy and Buzzy played....

"Come race around the big rock with us," Fuzzy called.

"I can't run fast enough," Lizzy baaah-ed.

"Let's play catch with Bumpy the little goat," Bizzy shouted.

"No, he'll bump me," answered Lizzy.

Lizzy thought to herself, "I might cry, and everyone would look at me.

Lizzy the Sheep is shy and afraid of failing or making mistakes, so she refuses to play and try new things. Her big brother Fuzzy devises a plan whereby she gets to add a new stone to a rock pile every time she tries something new. She starts out small, but eventually tries more and more things as she gets excited by the growing rock pile and realizes how much fun she is having in her play.

I liked the child-like illustrations, but thought the story was a bit lacking, as the illustrations were more interesting and fun then the story itself.
