Beryl Trevar Mystery #2
Trevar's Team: 2
Trevar's Team is embroiled in two murder mysteries. They are hired to solve the homicide of Wendell Perrault, a wealthy Palm Beach cosmetics company mogul. Perrault has enemies. Violent enemies - and one of them ambushed him. This mystery becomes personal for the trio. During the murderous attack, one of the three detectives takes a bullet to save the life of Perrault's wife. While working on this case, there is another homicide. A young busker with a mental disability from a brain injury is murdered. The woman's identity is hidden, and she is known only as Pixy. For the Team, it is again personal. Beryl, Rachel, and Summer, as well as most of the folks in Palm Beach, adore the busker's acrobatic shows, and her personality. Pixy has one enemy. However, if her identity isn't discovered, finding the culprit is much more difficult. Beryl Trevar, Rachel Rosen, and Summer Wade, are a tough Sapphic team of savvy, brave, intelligent, and gorgeous detectives. They are determined to weed out the enemies of Wendell Perrault. Even though eliminating them one at a time is a dangerous undertaking. They are also committed to finding the one enemy of Pixy.

Very enjoyable.
I really like Trevor’s Team 2. Good mystery with strong, smart capable women solving crime. I am probably one of the few readers who will admit I like a good book that doesn’t have a sex scene in every other chapter.

More than I expected!
Running out of time, tracking down evidence, investigating backgrounds, a bodyguard assignment. In other words, lots of thrills. The team must discover the real killer (or killers) and also their safety is in jeopardy. The stakes have never been higher as the team must outwit a dangerous killer(s) but every lead takes them to another dead end. Their is a villain, a devilish creep with a deadly mind, two cases and a gruesome murder. This murder sent a shiver down my spine and I felt a sadness that I couldn't shake off. It brought out a lot of emotions. Every teammember has her own set of skills, abilities and stengths. Together, these smart strong leading ladies are powerful. I loved their dynamic, their determination, the dramatic tension. I loved the chase, the unraveling of the cases, the twists and turns and the explosive ending. The intermingling of the characters is excellent. The action starts of immediately and it will leave you on the edge of your seat throughout the story. It is very exciting and the story demands your attention. The author knows how to put together a clever plot and as always, exceptionally well written. A great follow up from book one and highly recommended.
