This book has really cute themed party ideas, with lots of different kid-friendly recipes and ideas for different types of tea parties.

Okay confession. I have been a bookworm since I learned to read, but I am also one the loves tea. In fact, I have teasingly told many in my life that "Tea is God's drink of choice!" So when my daughter was young I introduced her to books, had her reading by the age of 3, and tea. Okay I waited until she was 5 to introduce her to tea, and then it was decaffeinated or herbal. This book brought delightful illustrations with beautiful colors to help her learn the pleasure of having tea. I am a fan of Emilie Barnes and her gentle spirit in her writings, and I am so glad that she is a fan of tea.

Tea Parties! Who can resist them. A delightful book with wonderful illustrations. Every page is filled with ideas for food, table settings, menus, things to make for your tea party, and activities, so that young girls (and boys) can have the best tea parties! There are six chapters for a variety of tea party venues, then a page on sending a Thank you, recipes, and all of the crafts that are included in each party chapter. A lot of fun for the whole family.

Loved the creativity, loved the cozy drawings. And really liked the call in this book to make up your own party, decorating ideas, with a diy mentality. Altogether very nineties kind of book, that lifestyle blended through the tone of voice, which made me wandering how such a kind of book would look and sound like nowadays.

This book is great for little girls, and mothers alike. It definitely for mothers to read to their daughters and then make up the events. The book tells of different themes and ideas for tea parties, and how to plan them. It is a variety of things that can help children broaden their perspective on life. Definitely a good one for children to read with parents, or discuss with their classrooms.

This is a very charmingly-illustrated book for children on holding many different kinds of tea parties. Although the crafts did not appeal to me, some of the recipes did, as they seem perfectly kid-friendly. I can't wait to have a "real" teaparty with the girls!
