She gave me her kidney. I gave her my heart...

Nicholas Blake learned a long time ago that nobody does anything for free. He’s felt the pain of lies and manipulations enough times to know that people only look out for themselves, and that all good deeds come with a price. So when he wakes up from a near deadly car accident and finds out a stranger is offering to donate her

Five purest sweetest kindest aawww I loved this book so much stars!

Lately I’ve read amazing thrillers, science fiction, YA dramas but my brain needed a break and my heart craved some smart romance with well developed characters!

Honestly in one night, I started three different newly released books from Boyfriend Bargain, Married for one, Well suited. I thought I turned into a picky know-it-all kinda reader but after 10 to 15 pages, I put down them all and searched my old tbr list.

Finally I foun

Ahhh this book!! <3 OMG it was the sweetest thing I've ever read and it really cheered up my day. :) And Nick, that man totally stole my heart because I was swooning over him while I was reading this book. :D He's funny, sexy and a dirty talker! Damn, I love those type of men sooo much. :D Oh oh, wait a second! I almost forgot to tell you, he is a chef! :D Dayum! I wanna eat him up right now! :D Anyway, what was I saying? Yesss, I LOVED this book sooooo much. :D But I have to say this, in the b

Overall Opinion: I think the safety gang is going to eat this book right up!! It is safe, and it is a super sweet story that evokes the feels (and in a good way). I loved the overall messages it gives us too. It focuses on things like the power of positive thinking, and that holding grudges only hurt ourselves and not the ones that we're upset with. I agree 100% with that mentality. Those that follow my reviews know that I'm not one that loves the super sweet reads, so that was my o

So I received a PM the other day from a GR friend telling me I was too opinionated for my own good in my reviews I don't really know what that means should I take it as a compliment? Hehe well I DID..
And this is where I'll give my honest opinion about it and maybe this is what the person who PMed had a problem with but I can't change who I am or I won't ever change just because someone doesn't have a good opinion of me. I rather have no friends or followers and if someone doesn't like my opinio

Reading this book has been a very different experience. As much as being a romance, this book can also be categorized as a “personal development” book if you ask me because it has made me think and rethink about the issues in my life, the way I look at them and I am sure it has helped me better than an ordinary self-improvement book because they are boring but this one has a beautiful love story in it...
So, win-win :)))

If you need to change your view of life and people towards a more optimistic

4-4.5 stars!! You know when you read your first book by an author who's also your friend on GR (and you think she's a total sweetheart) and your anxiety levels skyrocket because what if you hate it???!!! That was me three days ago and the reason I went stealth mode..

But let me keep this short and simple.. Pure Hearts is simply amazing. It leaves you with a smile and a content sigh on your lips. It speaks to forgiveness and the complexity of life and the decisions you make. It's a tribute to life

Sometimes a book comes into your life at the right moment or when you least expect it. Pure Hearts is that book for me. It literally took me by surprise and knocked me off my feet. The premise of the story is so real and relatable. Chance meetings, organ donation, the considerations going through a persons mind. It's not an easy choice.
For Iris is not even a choice but Iris is not like everyone. She's a woman who believes and sees the good in people. If you give, you or the next person receive

I’ve never read a book by this author even though I’ve had her books waiting on my kindle forever. I’m not sure why and I’m kicking myself now. This story was beautiful.

“I’m not happy because my life has been perfect, Nick. I’m happy because I decided to be. I know you probably think it was easy for me. But it took work.”

We all decide how events in our lives will shape us. I believe this to be true. We can take our most horrible events and find the good that came from them or decide we hat

4 Reluctant Nick Stars!!!

What's it about?
Lives and hearts collide when Iris decides to donate a kidney to the son of an endearing woman she meets in a hospital chapel one day. This is a story about the power of good will and selfless sacrifice and how it can soften even the most hardened of hearts.

The Best Bits: I have to be honest, it was the subject matter that drew me to this. As it happens, my husband only has one kidney and many in his family have suffered from kidney disease, endured

Pure Hearts was like a ray of sunshine breaking through a darkening sky and once those clouds part you're filled with this hopeful feeling deep inside your soul. Because the sun will come out again. You can always count on it. And that is exactly what this book felt like. Two complete opposites are brought together and, with time and trust, they find love and learn to see the world in more than just black and white.

Iris sees the good in everything

Pure Hearts
is a sweet, heartwarming story about a woman who gives a complete stranger her kidney after he nearly dies in a car accident. The two form a friendship that turns into a once-in-a-lifetime love.

5 "Sunshine and all that good stuff" Stars!!!

Oh my word, this was my first book that I've read by Jeannine Allison. And I'm asking myself, why the heck did I wait this long??? 'Pure Hearts' was absolutely beautiful. The story flowed seamlessly. And the characters, oh, I freaking adored them. I especially had a soft spot for Nick and Iris. They stole a piece of my heart, but it's ok, it was so worth it. I didn't want this book to end. Pure Hearts was such an great story, filled with important life lessons.

Life hasn't given Nick a lot of reasons to trust people. Iris' life hadn't been easy, but she chooses to see the good in people instead of focusing on the negatives. All she wants to do is make a difference in the world, so when she volunteers to donate one of her kidneys to save Nick's life, Nick is immediately suspicious. But as they get to know each other, Nick realizes that she doesn't have any ulterior motive, she just

Nicholas Blake is hardened and distrustful, he excepts only the worst, and knows everything comes with a price. After a nearly-fatal car accident, he finds himself in need of a kidney transplant and his spot on the list isn't very high. When a young woman offers her kidney, he knows she has to want something, he just isn't sure what. Iris Chamberlain is beautiful, smart, and kind, but even after spending all their time together he cannot find

This was a beautiful, sweet read that kept me turning pages long after I ought to have put it down!

I've been wanting to read this author's books for a long while now, on account of how stunningly beautiful the covers are. I was so happy to finally delve into my first JA read and I loved every second. I found reading this book a little like a warm hug. This is my first read of this author and it certainly won't be my last! This is such a great read and love story, I loved all the main characters and had to warm to a couple of the others due to their actions! Iris makes you want to be a better person and make better choices in life. Nick is a little untrusting on the surface but Iris brings the good out of him! I can clearly see why there are high ratings for this book but…

This book is interesting and when reading the book, I thought it would be your run of the mill book. Although I enjoyed it at times I also really struggled with it. If I put my personal feelings aside this truly is a beautiful, poignant and heartfelt read. There is a hidden beauty where the author has really brought out all the emotions on paper and that you get sucked into the plot. The message of the book is that with positive thin

Beautiful! This is my first book that I've read from Jeannine Allison. This is a beautiful, raw and emotional story. This story will have you crying a lot throughout the book. I fell hard for Nick and Iris. Iris is the type of person that loves doing stuff for people. Nick had a hard time in trusting people. It will have you drawn into the book from the beginning. I was sad that it ended, I wanted more about Nick and Iris. Can Nick trust and accept help from Iris? I highly recommend this book. T ...more

5 Stars to Pure Hearts by Jeannine Allison.

Nick and Iris.......

Pure Hearts was such a beautiful story. There were dark moments as well as light and joyful ones. By the end of this book, I was smiling, giddy and crying tears of happiness. Every single conflict fell into its rightful place making Pure Hearts a perfect read for me, with all the feels alive on almost every page. I couldn't ask for more.

Nick is an angry, bitter and lonely man. To say he was grumpy is only a small part of his persona.

It all starts when suspicious (has been let down many times in his past and is always looking for an ulterior motive) Nick needs a kidney and a total stranger (not from the registry) offers hers. From there, a tug of war with hormones, chemistry, and different ways of viewing life ensues.

Nick and his mom were so cute in their interactions, and Iris was beautifully open, trusting, and generous- but not annoying or saccharine sweet (which is a common pitfall with this type of character). And I lo

This is my fifth read from this author and every book is so different from the other that you never know what you're going to get. The only thing you will definitely get is a great story.

This one is a sweet slow burn love story. A story that reminds us to see the good in people. That our outlook on life and love is our choice. I loved Iris and her views, I know a real life Iris and she definitely makes my life better. Some people might find her joy annoying but I actually think this is because t

Pure Hearts by Jeannine Allison was the first book by this author that I read. And I am pretty sure that I will pick up other books from her if their blurb appeals to me. Her writing is well developed and the characters are deeply developed.

Things I knew, Things I guessed and Things I never saw coming. Well my no-spoiler rule does not allow me to give away any of these things. But believe me there would be some stuff I could tell you.

’True Hearts’ is a very much a feel good type of read, with a kind of New Adult-ish introspective vibe about the cynic who is inclined call everyone’s action out as self-serving until proven otherwise who goes up against a someone who wholly (or at least habitually) believes in human goodness and sincerity.

And that was where my reservations slid in.

Call that my own cynical self talking here, especially when it begins with the donation of a kidney after what appears like a paranormal ‘sign’ tha
