There are a lot of good things about this book that made me enjoy it and there are unfortunately, a few bad things that just really brought it down.
The Pros
1) I thought the way the author tackled the hard issues of grief and depression were realistic and well done. The topics were sufficiently touched on without being dwelt on so thoroughly that it bogs the story down.

okay so I was selected to review this book and I have to say that I'm quite disappointed.
Romance/contemporary are not normally my kind of thing but I thought I'd give it a go.
It seemed rather cliche and similar to a lot of other books that I've read in my young teenage years.
The 'sexual tension' between Angelina and Wes just didn't seem convincing to me and I found it rather cringe worthy. How the story first starts out was quite good but after chapters 1 and 2 it just kind of fell flat for me.

This book was very easy to get into - I really had an emotional tie with the main character from the beginning. I was caught up in her grief just like she was - I felt like I was on the emotional roller coaster with her. I can only imagine what she was going through.

Broken Angel was easy to get into right away. The flow of the story was written so well I had finished it without realizing it.
Following Angelina after losing her fiance was heartfelt. I felt how she felt. The pain, the loss, the not wanting to do anything. Her grief was so real.
Seeing her pick up the pieces of her life and start healing had me wanting to see her better. Sexy, marine, Wes had me drooling. I was hoping they got together.

This story made me ugly cry and I haven't cried over a book since Message from Nam. This is a story about how a person can over come loss and find a way to continue on even though it is the last thing that they want to do. Lina has had true love and is truly lost when that love is taken away from her. With help from family friends and professionals she is able to rebuild her life a little different. But will love be in the cards for her?

This is a quick and easy read. The storyline is well-crafted, intriguing, suspenseful, has drama and steam. The characters are defined, and likable with sizzling chemistry. I liked it.

The summary of this story really captivated my attention. I have never read a story by this author before so I did not know what to expect. I absolutely feel in love with the characters. This is my first time reading something by this author and I enjoyed it very much. This book had quite an emotional storyline, hitting on the issues of grief and depression. I had a little bit of trouble getting into this plot, but overall if was a good read. I had a little bit of hard time seeing as much chemistry between Angelina and Wes as much as I was hoping for. You see everything from Wesley's point of view and see him struggling with his own scars and his feelings for Angelina, who is the fiancee of his best friend that passed away from an IED. Once you get farther into the book, it was a much more flowing story.

An emotional romance with a cliffhanger. I am not into cliffhangers. They force the reader to wait and buy the next book.
A story that has hurt, drama, loss, friendship, harashment, trust, emotions, passion and twists. Sometimes the story lacks depth and the subcharacters are a bit rough.
The characters are well described and they feel real and are likeable.

This is the first book that I have read by Kristy Gibs but definitely not the last. There are twists and turns along with loss, pain, guilt and emotional situations that makes this book so good. This book takes you into the story right from the first page and you have to keep turning to see what happens next. This is a brilliant book and so well written and I definitely recommend you read it.

This is a sad read at times, but the sadness is handled well as are the other issues dealt with in this book; they are honest but not in your face. There are some really good characters, both main and supporting as well as a story that held my interest. The ending for me just didn't feel right, but that's just a personal thing.

I truly enjoyed this story from author Kristy Gibs. I believe a story is only as powerful as its characters and Wesley and Angelina leap from the page. I love stories where the hero and heroine are immediately drawn to each other, but have to overcome their own fears in addition to external obstacles. If you enjoy romances that are sizzling and heartfelt, I highly recommend this book.

This book is full of heart break when angel losing the love of her life matt, when her family wanted her to start getting out there she met an other marine called wes who took into making angels life so much better in still wes nasty ex ruins it for her.

I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to receive an arc to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just couldn't get enough of it and once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. I recommend that you read it.

This is the 2nd book I've read written by Kristy Gibs; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
