What a GREAT book! I bought it because of my love of Welsh Corgis! I have had four before my present one, who is a two-year old and a typical Corgi. The author, Nolder shared an awesome mystery but included the Corgis as part of the cast of characters, and I thought it was perfect! They are barkers, very protective of their humans, and if you listen to your dogs, they are a great judge of character, too. I've learned that. So....back to the mystery! Wow! Nolder just kept taking us a bit deeper a ...more

Great story and relatable characters

And, of course, corgis!!! I heard about this book at a corgi event and bought it right away. Dogs and mysteries are my forte and this book has both. I stayed up way too late finishing this book. It really is a great story that pulls you in all the way through. I really hope there’s a sequel coming up soon. I just loved the setting and the main characters. You don’t have to be a dog person to really love this book, but I am appreciative that the author did incl

Cute Corgis, Quick Read

Connal, Gizmo, and Peanut – three adorable and remarkably intelligent Welsh Corgis – are far and away the best thing about Dawn L. Nolder’s novel, “Corgi Cove.” They are featured on nearly every page of the book, warming to the good guys and snarling at the bad guys to help the protagonist, Tara, figure out which are which. And you just know that Tara is a good person by the way she interacts with the dogs, giving them the best care imaginable even when she is stressed out

Corgi Cove by Dawn L Nolder is mystery suspense novel and, truth be told, not my typical choice of genre. That being said, I really enjoyed this book. Nolder combined her knowledge of archeology with her love of the corgi breed to weave a gripping story that unraveled bit by bit.
The friendship that grew between Tara and Gwenn was fun to read. It was as though I was spying in on a high school sleepover and I found the relationship that had bloomed refreshing. I will admit I was a little disappoin

So I am completely biased in my love for this book because I have owned several corgis and this book has them in abundance. The author nailed their personalities perfectly right to the "boof" barking and the upside down sleeping! But, I must mention the story itself as it was really well done. The characters were very well fleshed out, the mystery clever enough and just enough questions left about the characters to leave me wanting to read the next book. I must also mention I went into the read ...more

This is a book that will appeal to dog lovers, particulary those of a Corgi bent! The author clearly has a passion for those dogs, and uses them in this mystery novel to great effect. It is an interesting concept, and led me to follow the story to the end. This is a short novel, but doesn't suffer from that. I would recommend this to any dog lover who likes a good mystery!

I liked Corgi Cove by Dawn L Nolder. I thought D Nolder did a good job of plot and character development. There were some things that were a little off, but over it is a good read.

I would recommend Corgi Cove to readers who like: mysteries, Maine and stories with Corgi's.

To present an unbiased review, I must admit that I adore Corgis & love reading an author's first published book. It should also be noted that mysteries are my least favorite category & I dislike crime drama of any sort for entertainment or leisure. So, why did I give a virgin crime mystery novel with several Corgis in attendance my highest rating? It's because the writing is really good & in the end a book is about the writing. The characters are well defined with the perfect amoung of detail. I ...more

Perhaps I'm biased because I have two corgis and love the coast of Maine, but I loved this book! It was full of suspense and wit and I found the archeological topics very interesting. Dawn writes in such a way that I had a vivid picture in my mind of this amazing property the main character bought on the internet sight unseen. Her descriptions brought the book alive. You don't have to be a corgi-person to love this book. It's full of intrigue and mystery. The corgis just add to the story!
