Fall in love at Bayside, where sandy beaches, good friends, and true love come together in the sweet small towns of Cape Cod.
Bayside Passions is a USA Today Bestseller
BAYSIDE SUMMERS is a series of standalone steamy romance novels featuring alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They're fun, flirty, flawed, deeply emotional, always passionate, and easy to relate to. And of course, you'll see cameos from the Seaside Summers characters!
In BAYSIDE PASSIONS... When Emery Andrews's best friend, Desiree, moves away, falls in love, and opens an inn all in one summer, she feels her absence like a missing limb. Until she visits over the holidays and meets sinfully hot Dean Masters, who's as easy on the eyes as he is to talk to. After returning home, what starts as a flurry of late-night flirtations quickly turns into a deep connection and unexpected friendship. Now, months later, Desiree offers Emery a job teaching yoga at the inn. Adventurous Emery jumps at the chance and heads for Wellfleet, Massachusetts, to reunite with her BFF and her new close friend, Dean.
After months of sharing their lives, and their secrets, over video chats and phone calls, Dean's ready to move things to the next level. The fact that Emery seems oblivious to the sparks between them and has recently put her foot down about dating friends just means he'll have to bide his time.
When Emery finds a naked man in her kitchen the first morning she's there, Dean doesn't hesitate to move her into his guest room. Maybe now Emery will see what's right before her eyes--although that guy she's got a date with might be a problem.

If I could give 5 Stars for Dean alone, I would BUT Emery....ughhhhhh she annoyed me to no end the first half.
Ok, so I have been on a Melissa Foster roll and although her writing was still just as great, I just couldn't help but feel SO annoyed by Emery for at least the first half of the book. Honest to god, up until they actually "gave it a chance" I couldn't take much more of her, I actually wanted to stop reading altogether. Dean was PERFECT, he was sooooooo damned perfect lol I know for lack of a better word. I had just wished Emery's character hadn't been so freaking annoying for most of their story, I just didn't like her to start with BUT at least by the latter half I finally warmed up to her (still not the greatest character but oh well lol). She may not have been my favorite female lead BUT by the end thank goodness she finally got her shit together and finally realized how GREAT Dean was and is!!!!!!
On to the Drake and Serena's story soon:)

Bayside Passions was the second book in Melissa Foster’s Bayside Summer series. It was a sweet and slow friends to lovers theme, with a few life lessons mixed in.
Dean Masters was Rick Savage’s (Bayside Desires, book one) friend and business partner. He knew the moment he met Emery Andrews at Rick and Desiree’s Christmas party that he was done. She was it and he was willing to bide his time developing a strong friendship until the time was right.
Emery Andrews was Desiree’s quirky and feisty best friend. They had been best friends in Oak Falls, Va since the first grade. Emery’s life wasn’t where she wanted it to be so she decided to follow Desiree to Bayside and start over. She was fun, flirty, beautiful and a train wreck for relationships. She was “like the wind, hard to catch and easy to get swept up in but too adventurous to settle down.” Thus, she vowed to never date a friend again and she wasn’t willing to put Dean’s friendship at risk.
True to form with Foster, Bayside Passions was well written and well developed. Foster took us through the typical emotions and pitfalls of going from friendship to a lasting forever love. It started a little slow for me, but once it progressed with additional storylines, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. For example, she included challenges from a dysfunctional and controlling family while simultaneously adding humor through the ladies of LOCAL, the Lower Cape Assisted Living - they were hysterical.
Foster also took the time to introduce the Master and Andrews siblings, setting the stage for future books - although we aren’t quite certain where yet, as it could be in one of several series. But the teasers were intriguing and exude a promise for success.
Lastly, Foster graced us with the friends of Bayside that we fell in love with in book one scattered throughout the storyline. And yes! we’re finally getting Drake and Serena next in Bayside Heat. I’m sure it will be well worth the wait!
One of the aspects of this book that sticks out in my mind was how easy it was to read. Like the story wasn't even problematic at all. And what I mean by that is that our leads had no real obstacle to overcome. I like that. It was different. It was fun and sweet with little to no angst at all. Their friendship was well established as we begin the book so the entire journey is just them changing their path and they did it seamlessly.
You know, Melissa Foster can real deliver on all fronts. I've read all kinds of tropes from her and every single time she delivers. Yes, some I enjoyed more than others, but the quality of her writing is always there. Well done once again!
Returning to this world is always a fun time. With BAYSIDE PASSIONS, Melissa Foster delivers a lighthearted, fun-filled novel that is sure to brighten up your spirits.
This is Emery and Dean’s book and these two are seriously happier than birds in the Spring. I feel like you have to be in a really good mood to enjoy this book because the two protagonists are so full of life. If not, then you will probably feel much lighter after reading this book.
That being said, there’s A LOT of fun banter and flirting. It’s basically the entire book. While I do enjoy this, I also think that it can get a little over the top in some scenes. There were times when I wondered how it was possible for two people to be so happy, but I guess that might just be my mood. Dean and Emery get along very well, so it’s no wonder that they can chat up a storm.
In terms of conflict, there’s not much there, which is my biggest complaint about this book. It’s just a fun book, so I wouldn’t expect too much thought-provoking conflict here. As this is a friends to lovers story, you’ll get a lot of their chemistry from the very beginning.
All in all, this was an enjoyable read if a bit too upbeat for my liking. But I am looking forward to seeing where the rest of this series goes.
I received this book for free from Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

We're back at Cape Cod in the second Bayside Summers book. This is a sexy, friends to lovers read. Emery Andrews, Desiree's BFF, and yoga instructor, has decided to move to the Cape, to escape a predicament regarding her ex-boss. Dean Masters has been crushing on Emery since they met at a wedding the previous summer. They have stayed in touch by text and FaceTime, and become good friends. But, do either of them wish it was more? I don't want to say too much, and give away any spoilers. But the storyline is fab. There are plenty of laughs, (Violet is a hoot, I can't wait for her book) but I did shed a few tears, too. Dean is such a sensitive soul, with a heart of gold, and he surprises Emery at every turn. Put your feet up, with your favourite cuppa, and enjoy.
Bayside Passions Melissa Foster is the second book in the Bayside Summer series. Featured in this installment are Emery Andrews and Dean Masters whom I was introduced to in the previous installment. It was at this point I recognised the possibility of them becoming a couple, and so I was eager for them to get their own story. Ms. Foster did not disappoint.
My Thoughts. Like all of Melissa’s books Bayside Passions focused on romance, friendship and family. The story highlighted the challenges one faces being part of a dysfunctional family and having to contend with a controlling patriarch. Besides the romance, which I thought was well developed; there was humour and many smoldering moments. The humour, which was spot on, had me smiling at every page turn.
One thing with Melissa’s romance is they are free of drama and there is little or no conflict. Bayside Passions was no different. It was a sweet friends to lover’s romance, which was free of drama and conflict.
It is always a pleasure interacting with the characters in Melissa’s stories. Dean and Emery share a special bond of friendship, which slowly developed into a romance filled with heat and topped off with a hint of sweetness. They are the opposite of each other. Dean is methodical and a thinker. Emery on the other hand is adventurous and impulsive. In spite of their differences, they worked well together making them a perfect couple. Their romance was not without its challenges. Challenges, which were self-imposed and required soma amount of convincing to prove that their love was worth risking their friendship.
Conclusion/Recommendation Overall, this was fun and sexy friends to lovers romance, and one I would recommend to fans of the trope.
I can't believe this was my first Melissa Foster book. Where the heck have I been? Sweet and sexy with an engaging cast of characters. It’s an inviting read with a swoon worthy hero. Truly wonderful!
Dean and Emery coming together was so fantastic. It was light, fun, and witty, drawing me in. I loved seeing their friendship grow into more. I loved their struggles and personal battles as they come together. Emery had such a great personality, she was a spitfire. I loved watching her blinders come off when it came to Dean. And Dean? Oh my! Sweet and sexy! I adored him. I loved how open and caring he was, so strong and confident. Their playful connection made for some really entertaining moments, I loved their conversations and the easy flow of them being together. They had fantastic chemistry and I love how that built. I had so much anticipation for them to truly connect.
There are great secondary stories happening with both Emery and Dean that I enjoyed as well. I liked how they were their for each other during those trials. There is a tremendous cast of inviting characters introduced making you want to become a part of their world. This made me want to read other stories and series the author has written, it was so enticing.
The writing was excellent. There was great character development for Dean and Emery and I felt like they really came alive. The story was so inviting, really pulling me in as I got to know the characters and where they live in. I couldn't get enough, I was excited while reading and invested.
This was just an entertaining read. Sweet, fun, romantic and sexy and filled with love and hope. I love being pulled in to a new world! I see reading more Melissa Foster in my future.
“He was a strong man, but Emery had become his Achilles’ heel.”
“What is it about me that makes guys want to build a fortress and lock me away? I’m tough. I can handle myself. I don’t take shit from anyone and there’s no guy on earth who’s going to get anything I don’t want to give.”
“I’m too broken to be fixed.”
“Everything you want, Emery, everything you need, is standing right in front of you.”
Bayside Passions is a entertaining friends to lovers romance with a bit of unrequited flare. Dean and Emery pull you into their story from the very first page and keep you begging for more. The banter between the two of them was so cute and entertaining. And don’t ever get me started on the sparks between these two!! The sparks between Dean and Emery were intense and held so much promise; I just couldn’t get enough. I loved the build and lead up to their romance. Emery and Dean had an amazing friendship, and their feelings only grew the more time they spent with one another. Things between these two were just so effortless, you couldn’t help but root for them.
Dean was so unbelievably sweet and protective. Not only was he a total alpha, but he totally rocked the swoon factor. He knew from the moment he met Emery that he had to have her, but was afraid to frighten her away. You see, Emery has burned by relationships with friends in the past and was determined to do whatever it took to keep Dean as her friend. She was awkward and frustrating at times, but I understood her and her actions. I couldn’t wait for her to open her eyes and see what an amazing man she had right in front of her. And Dean…. You could tell that he worshiped Emery and would give her the world if she let him.
Bayside Passions was a fabulous read from beginning to end. Melissa Foster doesn’t disappoint with her sexy and swoon worthy alphas and unforgettable love stories. And let me tell you, Bayside Passions was all of that and then some. It was fun and entertaining. It was sweet and seductive with just the right amount of drama and sexiness. I loved getting lost in Dean and Emery’s story and look forward to discovering more of this series in the future.
*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
As with all of Melissa Foster's books this one not only had great characters and secondary characters it had a great story line and tons of HOT sexy times.
I really liked Dean and Emery together and I enjoyed watching Dean prove to Emery that he was the perfect man for her. This is the second book in the Bayside Summers series and although it can be read as a standalone I suggest reading Bayside Desires first because it was to good not to read.

BAYSIDE PASSIONS by Melissa Foster is book Two in the "Bayside Summers" series. This is the story of Dean and Emery. I thought was easily a standalone book. Emery and Dean hit is off after meeting at a wedding and kept in touch. But Emery has been putting him in the friend zone and Dean wants more. Emery ends up moving to start a new chapter in her life with puts in moving closer to her best friend and of course Dean. This was really a sweet friendship to romantic love story. I am a fan of this author and will look forward to more of her books.
The epitome of friends to lovers, Bayside Passions is a must read for fans of the troupe. Dean and Emery have a chemistry that just sparks when they are together. It was so much fun getting lost in this sweet and sexy read. There was very little angst, and its the perfect book to curl up with on a snowy day.
Dean was just dreamy. A perfect book boyfriend, he is prepared and determined to show Emery a new side of love. Having been burned from several angles, she can't help but be a bit leery. She's independent and strong, I loved her character. She was energetic and exciting.
Overall, Bayside Passions was a great read. It's evenly paced, well written and reads beautifully as a standalone. I would recommend to the reader looking for a refreshing friends to lovers tale.

I have yet to read a book by Ms. Foster that I didn't like. Bayside Passions made me want to live in that world and make those characters my new friends. I love that Emery can be so strong and independent, despite somewhat overbearing brothers. Emery proves that sometime you have to let others know you before you can truly know yourself. Dean, oh how I love Dean! I want him for my own. I love that he stands up for himself with his family, but still supports them. He was much more than I expected him to be, and that made me love him even more. I can't wait to see more of the Bayside group in Bayside Heat.
Bayside passions in the second book in the Bayside series. This is a friends to lovers story which I like but Dean and Emery were just not my favorite couple. Overall I liked the story and am ready to read the next on the series.
The beauty of Melissa Foster as an author is that readers get to experience the many sides of her personality through the stories she tells. The Bayside Summers series is less intense, but no less riveting. Dean and Emery are a breath of fresh air with their flirty banter and budding friendship. However, Bayside Passions is a Melissa Foster novel. Underneath the breeze lies a few gusts. There will be patches of rain that will darken the canvas, but in the end the storm clouds make it worth the ride.
Emery and Dean are such a beautifully thought out couple. Their deep friendship, passion, smoking chemistry and love will fill you with lots of tingly feels.
I couldn’t help but add Dean to my BBF list. He’ll make your panties melt and heart swoon.
Emery is an extraordinary beautiful chaotic soul with so much love and sweetness you’ll want her as a BFF. As a Yogi myself, I really connected with the heroine.
I loved everything about this story from start to finish. I’m so happy she brought some of our beloved Seaside Gang into this book.
When an author effortlessly pulls you into a world they create that has you gasping, signing, crying and laughing, and making you feel a part of said world you can’t help but fall in love them. Melissa Foster is my go to authoress who I simply adore.
Add Bayside Passion to your bookshelf! I can’t recommend it enough.
BaysideBayside Passions (Love in Bloom: Bayside Summers Book 2) by Melissa Foster This is a very apt title for a book - Bayside Passions is indeed filled with so much passion and steamy romance that for Emery and Dean it is off the charts!Emery is Desiree’s BFF and she has decided to up sticks and move to Bayside to be beside her and work in the resort doing yoga classes. Emery and Dean became close after Desiree’s wedding and both of them have been talking for months late into the night getting closer and closer with each call. Emery sees Dean as her BFF as well and is so comfortable around him that makes the chemistry even stronger. Dean would love nothing more than to show her what a relationship with him could be like, but she is reluctant as she always ruins her previous ones and doesn't want to cross that line with Dean for fear of losing their friendship at the same time. Will she give Dean a chance and let him show her how good they can be together? Or will she ruin it before things get off the ground? This is yet another great addition to Melissa’s book universe and I can't wait to read the next book in the Bayside Summers Series.
Fall in love at Bayside, where sandy beaches, good friends, and true love come together in the sweet small towns of Cape Cod.

REVIEW: 4.25 stars--BAYSIDE PASSIONS is the second instalment in Melissa Fosters’ contemporary, adult BAYSIDE SUMMERS romance series. This is yoga instructor Emery Andrews, and landscaper Dean Masters’ story line. BAYSIDE PASSIONS, and subsequently BAYSIDE SUMMERS is another one of Melissa Foster’s spin off series from both the Love in Bloom and Seaside Summers series but can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Several characters and couples cross over for cohesion and familiarity.
Told form dual third person perspectives (Emery and Dean) BAYSIDE PASSIONS is a friends to lovers story line that follows the building relationship between yoga instructor and back-care specialist Emery Andrews, and landscaper Dean Masters. Months earlier our couple met during the Christmas holiday engagement party of mutual friends Rick Savage and Desiree Cleary (Bayside Desires #1). With Emery’s return home to Oak Falls Virginia, our leading couple pursued a long distance friendship through emails, Skyping and text. Fast forward to present day wherein Emery will accept an invitation to teach yoga at the Inn in Wellfleet Massachusetts where she will come face to face with her future and the man with whom she is falling in love. Enter Dean Masters, landscaper, gardener and Rick Savage’s business partner. What ensues is the growing love between Dean and Emery, and the potential fall out when the Masters’ dysfunctional family dynamics threaten any semblance of balance between Emery and Dean.
Melissa Foster pulls the reader into a sexy and smooth flowing story of family and friendship; balance and harmony; bitter memories and letting go of the past. BAYSIDE PASSIONS revisits old friends, welcomes newcomers and follows a relationship where anything is possible including the breaking down of barriers and preconceived notions about one man who struggles to be everything and more.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters many of whom we have met in previous story lines. We welcome the return of Rick and Desiree (Bayside Desires), Rick’s brother and Dean’s best friend Drake Savage, resort manager Serena Mallery, Desiree’s half-sister Violet, and Jana, Harper and Sky. The reader is introduced to Dean’s brothers Jett Masters, as well as their parents Dr. Douglas and Sherry Masters, nursing home residents Rose, Arlin and Magdeline, and nursing home administrator and Serena’s sister Chloe Mallery. Drake and Serena’s story line is next in BAYSIDE HEAT.
BAYSIDE PASSIONS is a spirited storyline with sassy characters, sexy innuendo, and great back and forth banter between lovers and friends. The premise is lively, delightful and captivating; the romance is passionate and seductive; the characters are engaging and fun. Melissa Foster writes stories that resonate from the heart.
Several months ago I read Melissa Foster's ONLY FOR YOU (Sugar Lake, #2) so when the chance came up to be part of the blog tour for Melissa's BAYSIDE PASSIONS (Bayside Summers, #2) I jumped at the chance. I couldn't wait to dive into another one of her series. Plus BAYSIDE PASSIONS is a romance that takes place at the beach, and truly, what's better than that?
The result? Super sweet as well as super sexy, BAYSIDE PASSIONS is fun & fast-paced friends-to-lover romance.
BAYSIDE PASSIONS introduces Desiree and Dean.
Desiree is work savvy, flirty, and a wild child. BUT she has has two problems. The small one? She's HORRIBLE at relationships. The bigger one? She's falling head over heels for her best friend Dean and given her romantic history she's terrified. Can she risk potentially losing her best friend? From the moment Desiree is introduced I thought she was hilarious. The first scene where she "helps" Dean with weeding his garden had me in stitches! It was definitely something I could see myself doing as well. I could relate to Desiree's struggles with Dean. It is hard deciding whether a romance is worth the risk of losing a friend. I also enjoyed that her work was included. It was awesome to see how much positivity she brought to her patient's lives through yoga.
Dean is an alpha hero: strong, protective, and charm-your-pants-off sexy. He's in the same thought-process as Desiree: is giving into their chemistry worth the potential fallout? Dean is starting to think so. I loved how protective Dean was with Desiree, especially at the beginning. For example, when he took charge of her living situation I was laughing out loud. What a guy! Additionally, I liked how he approached pursing a relationship with Desiree. He was always willing to take his time to make her comfortable (a big win!), but he also wasn't afraid to call her out if she was being ridiculous (another win!).
As mentioned above, the romance in BAYSIDE PASSIONS is sweet as well as sexy. While it wasn't my top favorite friends-to-lovers romance, I still enjoyed seeing it develop. I especially loved the banter between Desiree and Dean as well as how they both would push each others buttons to the extreme. They were an adorable couple for sure!
There is one thing, though, that brought BAYSIDE PASSIONS down a little in my eyes. It lacked a certain "spark." Yes, I enjoyed reading it, but I was never glued to the pages, dying to know what would happen next. Probably more of a me problem than anything, but I just wanted to throw that out there.
Overall, BAYSIDE PASSIONS is a the perfect quick read for a lazy Saturday.
I have not read the first book in the Bayside Summer series, however this did not affect my enjoyment of Bayside Passions at all.
I liked that our lovelies already knew each other well when the story starts (I assume it was all set up in the first book in the series). I liked that they could dive right into their friendship and more.
I freaking adore Dean. He is all kinds of swoonworthy and I was ready to scream at my kindle that if Emery didn't want him I would have him).
Now Emery - ugh, she frustrated me so much. I couldn't connect, and even at the end of the book I still didn't like her. I don't know exactly what it was, but nope, couldn't handle her at all.
Which made it had for me to get right into the story. And I hated that.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the story line, I liked the main man and I liked the other characters in the book, but my dislike of our leading lady took me out of the story.
And that has never happened to me with a Melissa Foster book.
It is probably just a case of "it's not you, it's me" with this one.
I do look forward to going back and reading the first book, and look forward to what Ms Foster brings us next.
Well, Melissa Foster has made me fall in love yet again! Bayside Passions is definitely the perfect title for this book. The passion that simmers between Emery and Dean kept me turning the pages until I was unfortunately at the end of the book! I didn’t want to say good-bye to them.
Emery blew into Dean’s life last Christmas, and the two became fast friends texting and talking when she returned home. Emery doesn’t know it, but Dean feels a lot more than friendship for her. She has sworn off dating friends, and Dean is afraid he may always be relegated to that role. One of the things I love about him is he doesn’t give up when faced with a challenge, and when he decides he is going to show Emery how good they could be together, she better watch out! These two have got chemistry!!!! As determined as Dean is, they will face some obstacles before they can find their HEA.
Dean is absolute perfection. He is sexy, confident, and goes after what he wants. He is strong, but underneath that tough exterior lies a heart of gold. He takes care in everything he does. He owns his own landscaping business and works in a garden with the elderly residents of an assisted living facility. What is there not to love about him? Too bad his father has a hard time seeing that constantly pushing him to be a doctor, not being proud of who he is as a human being. He brings a calmness and stability to Emery. Emery is a free spirit. She is spontaneous, and full of light. When she enters a room, she has an aura that changes everyone and everything around her. Foster makes her personality leap from the pages of the book. She brings that light and life to Dean’s life. On the flip side, she is also afraid of commitment. Her parents separated when she was young, and she thinks something inside of her is broken. Thankfully, Dean is there to show her she isn’t broken, and he is the one to make her feel whole again. These two are perfectly suited to one another.
As with the other books I have read by Melissa Foster, there are always other themes running through her books…family and friendship. This one is no different. Bayside Passions is also about forgiveness and second chances. She writes so beautifully, that I find myself right there in the story with her characters and on the wonderful Cape. As always, I’m looking forward to returning!
***Read and Reviewed for Devilishly Delicious Book Reviews***
Once again I find myself tucked safely in the loving arms of the Queen of Romance Melissa Foster. Bayside Passions is a divine intervention of romance. It's sweet, hot and almost completely angst-free. And it will make you feel good, so so good and carefree. Just like a real romance should.
Emery Andrews is fleeing her hometown of Oak Falls, Virginia. She is fleeing her controlling brothers and a romance gone bad, with her former boss. Luckily, her best friend, Desiree Cleary, has asked her to come to Summer House Inn and be a yoga instructor there. The Cape is also where Dean Masters live, her second best friend. Dean and Emery met when Rick, Desiree's fiance, flew her in over the holidays as a surprise to Desiree. And they stayed in contact. They started off texting but that soon evolved into evening phone calls and much more. They build up a friendship that she cherished and trusted. Now she is starting a new life in the Cape. Dean is head over heels in love with Emery. He is willing to do anything to make her fall in love with him too. The only problem is that she is afraid of losing his friendship if their love turns sour. And this is where the game of cat and mouse begins.
Bayside Passions is, the story of friends, turn into lovers, and it is oh so sweet. It's funny, and it made me feel alive. The banter between Emery and Dean is hilarious, and it's fantastic to re-visit the rest of the gang of the first book in the Bayside Summers series. The passion between the hot couple is scorching My only quibble about the book is that I was hoping for a fresh twist that never seemed to come. With that said, Melissa Foster never disappoints with her writing and her character building. She makes it easy for me to relate to her characters and this was definitely no exception.
To the fans of romance, Bayside Passions is a fantastic and captivating read, and Melissa Foster get as always my very best recommendations.
I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.
Back at my favorite book setting, Cape Cod. This time Melissa Foster takes her readers to Bayside and we get to catch up with the Bayside crew. Dean and Emery deserve to have their story told and I am so excited about it. These two met last summer and have been keeping in touch through FaceTime, text, and phone calls. They have been flirting, sexting, and sharing their lives for so long it seems that they have been together forever.
I laughed often while reading Bayside Passions. Between Violets craziness and Emery’s uncensored reactions I chuckled, giggled, and laughed out loud many times. There were times I cringed at these same ladies and how unrestricted they were at times. But I loved every word of it. I also loved how the rest of the Bayside Crew accepted them as they were. There was never judgment just 100% acceptance.
Together Dean and Emery are opposites. Dean is settled, living his life, and just doing his thing. Enter Emery. She blows his world apart. Leaves her things all over his house, enters his every thought, and changes his life for the better. The best thing is Dean also changes Emery’s life for the better. He brings in some form of order, accepts her for all her quirks, and shows her what true love really is.
I was so happy to be back with these characters. It was wonderful to get to know Dean and Emery better and catch up with the other Bayside characters. I cannot wait for more from this wonderful location and amazing characters.

Bayside Passion is full of chemistry and romance. The characters are very well thought out.
Emery Andrews is very quirky, independent, and cautious. She's very personable, a whirlwind, and fun-loving. Emery often acts before thinking. That has caused issues in past relationships. She's been accused of flirting when she never meant to. Emery has never had a relationship last. When her close friend, Dean, tells her his true feelings, it throws Emery for a loop. Emery is afraid her habits and personality will cause her relationships to fail like they have in the past. Her friendship with Dean means far too much to her to risk.
Dean Masters is patient, caring, and determined. Dean has been falling more in love with Emery after every nightly phone call since they met. He knows how skittish Emery can be with relationships. Dean tries to keep his feelings to himself, but seeing her with other people is too much. Telling Emery his feelings is a huge risk to their friendship. Emery is worth the risk, but going at her pace could be challenging.
The main characters have amazing chemistry. As long as Emery doesn't stand in her own way due to fear, the risk Emery and Dean are taking could be greatly worth the risk.
The Bayside Summer series are fun to read. I can't wait for Vi, Emery's friend, to get her own story.
I received this book as an Advance Reader's Copy. I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.
A friends to lover romance with passion and humor!
Bayside Passions is another fantastic read in the Bayside Summers series. This book drew me in from the very first page. It is a story full of romance, humor, and some steamy heat. A well-written story with a plot moves at a good pace with a fresh, new story line that is easy to read. It is captivating and kept my attention to the very end. This is a story that will make you smile and laugh while wanting to knock some sense into the characters.
The characters are well developed and easy to like. This author knows how to create a story with enough romance and action to keep the reader entertained and interested. The characters in this series have become like my own friends and family. I can’t wait to read more in this series to see what happens with the rest of the characters. Melissa does a great job of intertwining the characters from each book into the rest of them.
Bayside Passions is another book from a very gifted author that I had the pleasure to read. Melissa Foster is a very talented author that tells remarkable stories that captivate you and will have you not wanting to put the book down. I have not been disappointed yet! Definitely, an author that you will want to keep on your go-to list. If you enjoy reading a romance that is entertaining and full of humor, then you will thoroughly enjoy this book. A truly entertaining read.
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
This is the second book in this series, and we meet friends from the previous book, and enjoy a new romance. Ms Foster is an author that a romance reader can trust to deliver a story full of interest, good characters, humour, and chemistry to be envied.
In this installment Desiree's best friend from home, Emery, takes a chance and moves to join her friend and teach yoga at the Inn. Since she first visited, she has become firm friends with Dean. We are immediately clued into where the challenges will lie for Dean, but we also know that he is up to the task. He makes some very big gestures, but actually there are lots of little details which really make these books stand out.
In case you worried that Dean must be pretty perfect, he has some issues too, and we can trust his relationship with Emery to bring them to the fore and help him move forward too.
On a cold wet winter's weekend this was delicious escapism to the sunshine and romance of Bayside; thank you Ms Foster.
Dean and Emery have the world's most amazing friendship! While they've only known each other for a few months they've spent an amazing amount of time on the phone, Skype, and watching movies together over video chat. When Emery moves to Wellfleet the two have the chance to connect in person.
Dean has had feelings for Emery for quite some time, and Emery would love to love Dean. The problem is her rules about relationships. Since Emery has lost friends in the past she refuses to date friends. And she's not willing to even think about a relationship with Dean since they're so close. Can Dean convince Emery to give them a shot?
I swear, I adore these two! They are so perfectly suited for each other...whether for friends or lovers. I could read another five books about their relationship! I'd love to sit with them and binge watch tv and just watch their reactions to each other.
This book is part of a series, but it can definitely be read alone. You'll enjoy reading the whole series, so don't wait!
I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.
A friendship and love should go hand-in-hand. The wild, intense passion that we often get from Melissa was a little more subdued in this book; however, I am in love with Dean and Emery. True love built on a foundation of friendship is strong and stable. It's easy to get wrapped up in a friendship and as a woman, I can understand how Emery could miss the cues that Dean wants more.
Emery swears off dating "friends" but there is an incredibly deep connection with Dean and his determination to get her to break that wall down is incredibly passionate and honorable. His dedication to being true to his career choice (he's a landscaper who is not only good with his hands but gives his time to the elderly....I mean, who wouldn't find that sexy and attractive!!). Emery is more free-spirited because of her parent's broken relationship. Together, they offer a balance of all that is good in life.
Melissa gives love hope again with Dean and Emery. They prove that friendship can be a firm foundation for a true, deep, and passionate love. Another grand slam for the series!
I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.
Emery is a yogi and back care specialist, who has decided to leave what is familiar and start over in a town where she met some new friends that she has clicked with. If it weren't for her new close friends, she wouldn't have the opportunity to start over in a new place and build herself. Dean has a green thumb and has turned his passion into his career as a landscaper who loves his new friendship with Emery. His friends are his family to him, but there's something with Emery. He loves talking with her and knows that she feels the same way, but Emery is stubborn because of her past. Dean doesn't want to push to her to push her away, so he needs to tread carefully and creatively. Starting over is always difficult, but what an adventure when you are moving to a town where the friends you consider family lives. There is always that fear about crossing over the friendship line, but they do always say that the best relationships are built on friendship. So can we give Emery any wrong for being torn about pursuing a relationship with Dean, her best friend? Love can be scary, and Foster, as always, takes us on a breathtaking journey from friendship to much much more.
*An advance copy of this book was provided to me for review purposes only, all opinions expressed are my own*
It was great going back to Bayside again and seeing everyone. This book revolves around Emery, the best friend of Desiree (the heroine of the first book) and Dean, a close friend of Rick's (the hero of the first book). I'm a huge fan of the friends to lovers trope, especially ones where the characters have been friends for a while. In this particular book, that isn't the case. Dean and Emery have only known each other for about six months, but they have just as much closeness as two people who were childhood best friends.
That's what makes their transition to lovers so difficult, which results in things like Dean trying not to roll his eyes whenever Emery has a date or Emery trying not to be attracted to Dean because she doesn't want to mess up their friendship. Of course, you can pretty much guess what happens after that.
The characters from the first Bayside book as well as a few from the Seaside series make appearances, but like always, you don't need to read the previous books to understand this one. Can't wait to see what the next book has in store.
