Chloe Jeffries is a petite control freak with endless energy. Writing for a popular tv show let's her channel that energy into a lucrative and creative endeavor, but it's the voices in her head that provide the show with its entertaining storylines. Unfortunately, one of the voices is louder than most and has decided to stalk someone on set. Chloe doesn't know who the intended victim is, but she's willing to help figure it out..within reason, of course. She never expected someone

Another story that could have been but it was not.
The main problem has been the suspense. I think the author, at the end, did not know how to make up her mind and made a collage of bad guys and evil things that did not work. Too much. Too many bad guys, several lines of suspense and everything loses steam at the end.

Boring romance. Each protagonist with their own problems that do not let them move forward and too many insecurities that do not fit

I had not read any of Janie Crouch's paranormal suspense books until I pulled this one up on my Kindle. I loved it! Immediately went online and got the 2 books that go with it. (Each features a sister with a unique this one, she could hear people's thoughts) Really spooky that she could hear the obsessive stalker's voice--and that the worse he got, the harsher the effect on her was. And Avalanche, the hero, was the perfect foil for her. Steamy, creepy good suspense! ...more

Rating: R for sex and violence
Sex: multiple scenes
Language: the F word gets started twice but then stopped because the main character has to pay into a swear jar every time she swears. So there really isn't a lot of swearing in the actual book, just in the story.
Violence: drowning, threats, explosions, arson, kidnapping, fatal and not fatal gunshots, car accident
HEA or Cliffhanger: HEA
Do I need to read books before this one: no, but makes it better
Would I read more of the series: already don

With escalating tension and palpable fear, the Survival Instinct takes the reader for a wild ride of paranormal abilities, the backstage drama of a television series, and an insistent, life-threatening, stalker hiding amongst the friendly faces.
Shane Westman is a troubled hero, the ex-Special Forces soldier lost his team in Afganistan and his will to fight in deadly battles. Shane was so easy to like, he is a solid man, trustworthy, kind and considerate. A man who takes a command of his surroun

Loved it! I previously read (and loved) Paige's story, but I think I may adore this one even more! Shane and Chloe are great characters! I love them each separately, and they are even better together. They have a fun dynamic, and they are both strong characters who can hold their own. I loved when Chloe finally let Shane in and told him her secret...and his response was just perfect.

The plot of this one was really interesting, and kept me engaged throughout. I will admit that I had sort of guess

I enjoyed this romantic suspense that had an interesting plot with paranormal aspects. I particularly liked the hero's attitude when he learned of the heroine's ability although she did take a bit long to open up to him. Ex-military man Shane is asked to investigate security on the production of a TV show threatened by a stalker and Chloe is the head writer. ...more

This was just too over the top for me. The voices in her head might have been acceptable but there were just too many cheesy, unbelievable parts to it for me to truly appreciate the effort behind it. Can't say much because it will spoil it for someone else but I'm sorry I wasted my time. ...more

**Disclaimer: As this is the third book of a trilogy featuring triplet sisters, each with a unique ability, I highly recommend reading them in order.**

Chloe has lived her whole life dealing with the voices inside her head. No, she isn't at all "crazy." She's gifted, though there are times she will readily debate that label. However, as she is resilient, having no choice but to be so, she's persevered and has taken her ability and made it work for her, literally. As one of the writers behind a na

This is the final in the trilogy about the Jeffries triplets, all of whom have a gift. Chloe is the creator of one of the biggest TV shows out, Day’s End, a paranormal show filmed in Black Mountain, North Carolina. As an aside, I was excited when I saw where it was set because I’ve been to Black Mountain several times on holiday and I love it there!

So Chloe, like her sisters Adrienne and Paige, has a gift. She can hear other people talking in her head. She has one voice in particular that bother

Chloe Jefferies has the unique ability to hear voices in her head, but lately there's been too much noise from one person in particular that she can't seem to shut out. So, when things begin to happen on the set of the popular TV show where she's the creative force, security expert Shane Westman is called in. Will Scott be able to help Chloe fight the person constantly in her mind, or will the person responsible for constantly badgering her with his possessive ways finally make his move?

Chloe Jeffries, creator of a hit TV-show, isn't beyond using some unusual help in her creative process. Namely, the voices in her head...But now, one of the voices is getting too loud, too insistent, and Chloe feels she's close to the end. Combined with a evil-hating stalker deciding to sabotage her show, she's in quite a pickle.

Then, the studio decides to go professional with the security, hiring a Wyoming based firm, Linear Tactical, for help. In walks Shane Westman. Cool as a cucumber and hot

First I must tell you I won a signed paperback copy of this book. I had forgotten about the author and was a little doubtful on whether I would like it. I was surprised by how good the book was and I remembered some character names and realized that it was a book from a series that I had been reading a few years ago. Boy, did I feel foolish as I got sucked back into the series. Janie has a style of writing that makes you really think about who is the bad guy, and a little supernatural thrown in ...more

I really really enjoyed this story!!! It was a fantastic read. I loved Shane and Chloe. They fit together so perfectly and were just well written. I would do a description, but I'm almost completely sure that spoiler douchery would inadvertently come out, and since this is a story of suspense, that wouldn't be cool. A crazy mash up of things all thrown together into a fascinating romantic suspense novel with intriguing characters and a twisty little bit of side action from the voices in Chloe's head.

Once again, Ms Crouch gives us a story that is not only engaging, suspenseful, and a whodunit filled with paranormal , but also a story that is tender and touching. Both main characters , Chloe and Shane, are imperfect and loving.

I love the premise of this series -- very reminiscent of Kay Hooper's Noah Bishop series. Unfortunately, while the series starts off with a bang with Primal Instinct: A Thrilling FBI Romance, it slowly declines through Critical Instinct and finally this one. I had two main issues with this one in particular -- first, the majority of the "twists" were very, very obvious and at least one should have been apparent to the main hero. Perhaps more importantly, what made the first two so intriguing was ...more

What starts as a mutual refusal to interconnect, became intense almost immediately.

Warning- there are some violence triggers in this book.

Chloe and Shane get off to a rocky start, as he didn't want to ever be responsible for someone else ever again when asked to take this job, and she didn't want change brought into her life and career. Chloe and her two sisters are triplets, each with unique abilities, and orphaned and separated very young. As they've grown older and found each other again, the
