Love & Liability (High Tea & Flip-Flops #2) by Linda Cassidy Lewis is a book I won from the Kindle Scout program. It is not the kind of book I normally read but it looked like it would make a good book so I voted for it. It turned out to be a good book even if it isn't my normal genre. It had great characters, plot, humor sprinkled just right, and romance (this is what I normally don't read). I did enjoy how she wrote this romance. It was a fun read. I am glad I received this book! ...more

I enjoyed this book, a modern day Pride and Prejudice with some Bridgette Jones thrown in. I love the characters of Chelsea and Jeremy and was pleased to see the author penned another book featuring them. They are so different and that's what works. A North American married to a Brit myself, I couldn't help but nod my head and laugh at the misunderstandings and miscommunications. It is often said, we are two nations divided by a common language and the author took full advantage of this. The two ...more

Jeremy doesn't want anything to do with his family, but his fiancee Chelsea is adamant about inviting them to their upcoming wedding. So the two of them embark on a trip to London where Jeremy's family lives. Misunderstandings between Chelsea and Jeremy continue to plague their relationship, but since this is rom-com everything works out in the end. Along the way there are plenty of moments of fun and romance between this opposites attract couple. If you are looking for a fun read, this is the b ...more

Although you can read this book on its own, I recommend reading the first book in the series first. It will show you the chemistry between Chelsea and Jeremy even more than this second book does. This story, though, has its merits. In addition to the mishaps and mayhem that Chelsea causes by her misunderstandings, you get a bit of a tour of England. You'll laugh and cry along with her and Jeremy, and you'll want to slap them both on the side of the head for jumping to conclusions about each othe ...more

Chelsea is getting married to Jeremy and wants to meet her new in-laws before the wedding. Every time Chelsea mentions it, Jeremy clams up. When Chelsea's mother takes things into her own hands, they find themselves with tickets to Europe to meet the parents. Jeremy has hard feelings toward his parents and Chelsea, as she meets them, begins to understand. Chelsea though, has a tendency to speak her mind even at the most inappropriate times. Jeremy just wants her to be herself. You follow this co ...more

Unlike the original book of the series, the characters have reverted to those of 16 year olds desperate to be in a relationship where the only communication is sex and to say they love each other. Annoying and no real resolutions to their issues exist nor do they ever actually communicate. A let down after the first book in the series that was cute and entertaining.
