From the first book in this series, I was hooked! The characters are written in such a way that you start to really care about who lives and who dies and this being the zombie apocalypse, NO ONE IS SAFE!!! Yes, no one is safe and we do lose people we love which makes this even more realistic. This is a story of everyday people, not big macho types with big guns blazing and them killing all of the man-eating creatures. Nope! Everyday people like you and I who just want to stay alive! That could be why I fell in love with series. It’s very realistic. Yes, I know…zombies ARE NOT real and I have no dreams of them ever walking the Earth BUT if they did, then this story would be what was really happening when the shtf! As this group travels on, they have so much thrown at them but never give up and that is what keeps them going. The strength and courage to keep on trucking to get to a safe haven and maybe…hopefully get a respite for a bit to catch their breath. Do they get that break? Ahhh…you will have to read the story to find out! I could not put this book down once I started! The action never stops…it is very emotional(have the tissues ready) and I don’t know how many times I said Oh NO! Oh no you didn’t or screamed at the author but it was a lot! I gladly recommend this book and the entire series to all who love to get lost in a story and totally enjoy it! Ricky Fleet is an amazing story teller who will keep you entertained and wanting the next book as soon as the last page of the current one is turned.

The saga continues.

I'm loving the continuation of the hellspawn series. This one sees our heroic family ( not all related) finally reach their destination where they hope they can be safe.....losses pull at hearts and the water Fleet writes his characters you do feel empathy for their pain. Looking forward to the next book.

Gripping

Ricky Fleet is fast becoming a Zompoc great!! Each book he writes in this series, oozes blood,gore and excitement! He has mastered the art of drawing the reader in with his gritty, realistic British characters. The story comes from 3 group viewpoints, and he switches from each group with ease. Its a thrilling ride and I can't wait to see what happens next.

This book continues the heart pounding excitement.. It captures the readers’ attention from the start. As fast paced as the others in the series, and very well written. Heading on to book 5, I am unable stop now. A must read.

Enjoyed this installment in the series. Getting to know new characters, and seeing how they interact with our band of heroes. I also liked how the story branched off to different locations, introducing us to other characters who will ultimately impact the characters we have grown to care for. Mr Fleet's writing has definitely improved over the course of the series; flow of writing, and continuity.

Kurt, Sarah,Jonsey, DB, Gloria and the rest of the group at Arundel Castle have fortified it for now but are now trying to overcome the depths of grief that more losses have caused. They continue with their plans to help the innocent survivors at the prison escape from the clutches of the waste of skin Craig, Mike and other lowlifes.
All is not well at the prison as some want to take control from Craig while Debbie keeps pushing her luck and may now pay the price. Winston is now on his own as he didn't like what was going on and sneaked away.
Meanwhile Eldridge and others have taken over control at Thorney Island barracks and with aid from the destroyer HMS Dauntless, hope to locate and help out the survivors at the castle and other locations.
This is the fourth book in the Hellspawn series and each book gets better. I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys fast paced, action packed zombie tales with characters that you really feel love or hate for and you care what happens to them.

Once again, Mr. Fleet knocks it outta the park! The story line keeps getting better and better. When you can hate/love characters then he's done his job of keeping you entertained. It's still hard to believe he's a relatively new author. Yes, he's that good. Get your zombie on today! You won't be disappointed.

   Have you ever had a book that  you start and finish on the same day ?  Well this was the book that did it for me . I started this book in the morning and had it finished by supper time  and I was blown away . The series was great to start with but this book blew me away . Kurt and the gang keep getting better and more complex and don't get me wrong but I kind of cheered when Debbie got what was finally coming to her . They are finally getting settled somewhere safe behind the castle walls , with the help of their new friends and allies .  Debbie and Mike end up at the prison , where his brother is the leader . Will they survive the dead but also will they all survive the living.
    What I love about this series of books , they have everyday people as the main characters . They aren't superhero men . They are a family trying to survive and they do it with their wits and their love for each other . Kurt has grown so much over the course of the books . You see him become the leader with a conscious . He has done some horrible things but he did them to help his family survive . Everyone has grown during this book . We see them thrive and survive .  On the other side of the table I was actually kind of glad that Debbie is finally getting a little of what she has dished out. I mean its nice to see her actually be scared  Winston is such a joy to read, he is a force in his own right . You have the overweight kid who just played video games come out swinging and claiming his place in the apocalypse. There is a new cast of characters that come in and you will love them all . Well most of them the others  you will hate . Especially the characters at the jail .
    This series of books came out running and in hellspawn requiem is no exception . You are taken on a journey with the characters .  You are thrown into the middle of the battle and you fight right along side them. There are plenty of omg you didn't and holy what were you thinking in this book . You will laugh and shed a tear . I strongly suggest you have a Kleenex on hand for some parts . The author paints us a picture of what the world would be like  if the world came to an end .  Just be prepared to get sucked in and hooked . You will cheer for your favourite characters and also shed a tear or two. So if you want a series that will have you cheering and wanting more . Another thrilling episode from Ricky Fleet. Once you get your teeth into his work, it's damn hard to let go. A thoroughly enjoyable read
