I got this book because part of my job is to suppress wildfires. This book was written for younger children. The author gives a great summary for what is required to become a smokejumper and a brief history concerning the development and use of smokejumpers. If you have a little curiosity in smokejumpers or you have children interested in smokejumpers, then you might want to consider this book.
