Fascinating pictures, rhymes and numbers for younger kids. Great introduction to these everyday heroes who risk their lives to stop fires from getting too big.

Smokejumpers are a nice variety of rescuers. Most of the time, police officers or fire fighters are thought of first when someone is need a rescue. Smokejumpers keep people safe and Demarest's book shares their difficult job in a simple counting book. It's a great book to introduce readers to smokejumpers. The count up goes from one to ten and the countdown goes from ten to zero.

Lots of information about what smokejumpers do and how they do it. Starts at 1, counts up to 10 and then back down to 0.

My son loved this book so much that he remembered it months after I checked it out from the library. So of course
I had to go online and buy a copy for my three year old!
