Deep Check is book #1.5 in the Station Seventeen series by Kimberly Kincaid. I have not read any of the other books in this series and was able to read this with no problem. But it definitely left me wanting to go back and read the rest of the other books. I just fell in love with these characters.

I enjoyed this second chance story of Finn and January. Once the best of friends, one night, a kiss and actions that were never corrected, separated them for years. I liked that Finn recognized that he not only had reparations to make with the man he owed his success to, but to the girl he had left behind in the harshest of ways.

This is a sweet love story with low angst but holy heck was it steamy! Finn is a bit of a dirty talker and although he has a moment of idiocy, he was pretty swoon worth
With her novella Deep Check, Kimberly Kincaid shows that a full-length tale is not necessary to tell a passionate and sexy love story.

After fulfilling his dream of winning the Stanley Cup, the only thing Finn Donnelly wants to do with it is take it to the one person who believed he could do it. But to do so means Finn has to go back home and most likely run into January Sinclair, the one woman he couldn’t have and left behind. He has a plan though, he’ll take the cup to his best friend’s grave a

Reader-friends! I'm so excited to bring you a sizzling side story in the Station Seventeen series. Finn and January are originally from the HOT ON ICE hockey anthology, and I had the best time writing their second-chance love story.

This story is perfect for an afternoon of reading, so curl up in your favorite spot and get comfy! Happy reading :)

When Finn Donnelly's Ragin' Cajuns win the championship, there's only one person he's interested in sharing the championship cup with. In high school, Asher and January were his best friends and Asher was the one guy who always believed Finn would one day add his name to the Cup. Now that he has, it's only natural that he share it with Ash. Problem is that Ash died in a fire, and Finn has a lot of unfinished business, so he takes the Cup home and to the cemetery to have the talk and make the apo ...more

GREAT STORY!! I love Station Seventeen and getting to know Finn and January was loads of fun! This is a quick story but not quick enough to give you whiplash. I enjoyed the even pace and it made the story fun, heartwarming and sexy. I can't wait to read the next book!

Finnegan has finally achieved his goal of winning the Cup, but the only person he wants to share it with most, his best friend Asher, has passed away. To make matters worse, Finn and Asher hadn’t spoken in the seven years prior and it all circled back to one steamy kiss between him and January, the third bestie in their tight knit circle. So, not only has Finn lost one best friend but two. Still, Finn moves forward and decides to use his day with the Cup to take it to Asher’s gravesite and share ...more

Loved this! It's a fun, sexy second chance romance that is very well written and has some amazing characters. I'm not always a fan of novellas because I really like getting to know the characters in a book. This one doesn't hold anything back and contains a lot on a few pages. Definitely one I recommend to everyone.

After winning "The Cup" with the Rage, Finn Donnelly returns to Remington, NC to face the demons of his past. Surprisingly, clearing up the past helps him find the path for his future

Awesome second chance story! Finn is the star Center for the New Orleans Rage and January is the girl he left behind back in his hometown of Remington. When it's Finn's turn to take the Cup there's only one place he wants to go and one person he needs to show he'd accomplished his goal then he's back to New Orleans. He doesn't count on the impact of seeing January again will have on him and the ties he still feels to her. January was hurt more than she cares to admit when Finn left Remington, an ...more

This is my first book in this series and I fell in love with the people and the town. I am not a sports person at all but you don't have to be to enjoy this book. Finn has to make up for somethings he did wrong 7 years ago. Coming back to his hometown will do just that. While he is there he meets back up with January his high school best friend. This book is quick but with a full story that makes you want to stay in the town of Remington.

Finn Donnelly has come back to Remington after winning the cup for one reason, to bring the cup to the grave site of his friend. He doesn't expect to run into January Sinclair but the blast from the past is one that changes everything. The kiss between them the night before he left town caused the fight between him and Asher and put up the walls between him and January. Now being back in town he realizes he not only needed to apologize to his dead friend but to January. That apology leads to so ...more

WOW this story is hot enough to melt the ice and melt my heart at the same time. I loved the blending of the firefighters and hockey players we have read from Kimberly's series. I love the tradition of the winning Stanley Cup team each have time with The Cup and I loved how Finn honoured Lord Stanely's legacy with his friend.
Finn and January shared a passionate kiss when they were teenagers, but soon after, Finn leaves for the minor leagues to pursue his dream and January is left behind with a

This is my first book by Kimberly Kincaid and although I’m not an enthusiastic fan of sports’ romance this story has been very involving. Both characters are very caring and very fond of their loved ones. Finn is a hot hockey player who comes back to his hometown after winning the cup and at Remington he meets the woman who has haunted his dreams for a long time. January still can’t believe that Finn has come back; she still holds a grudge in his regards after leaving her with a wounded heart. A ...more

Deep Check is a great second chance romance quick read in Kimberly Kincaid's Station Seventeen series but can be read as a standalone. Finn and January have explosive chemistry and I really enjoyed reading their story.

Finn has accomplished his goal of the last seven years...his team, The Rage, just won the Cup. Of course this is cause for celebration, but he knows his next move is going to be painful. Though the friendship suffered when he left his hometown, Finn wants to share this victory with his best friend, Asher, even though it'll be while standing beside his grave. Plus, he knows he'll eventually see January as well, and that reunion proves to be almost as painful.

Finn Donnelly is so close…. He’s a hockey star, a valuable member of the now-Stanley Cup-winning New Orleans Rage team. But he cannot say he’s “done it,” cannot check that box, until he returns home to Remington to bring the Cup to his best friend Asher’s grave. For Finn, that act of going home, of facing his ghosts, seeing January Sinclair, is far more daunting than playing all-out hockey for the long grueling season. Asher, January and Finn were fast friends growing up - Ash and his “calendar ...more

I loved Deep Check by Kimberly Kincaid. This is a short story that is part of the Hockey anthology collection, Hot on Ice. This is Finn Donnelly’s story and his turn for a day with the Stanley Cup which was won by the New Orleans Rage. Finn plans to take the cup to the grave of his best friend from high school, Asher, back in his hometown of Remington, North Carolina. January Sinclair was best friends with Finn and Asher in high school, all the while having a crush on Finn. Finn left town shortl ...more

I enjoyed this second chance book. Finn and January have some past issues to confront before they can move forward. They are so good together. Finn has to overcome his past so that he can make a decision about his future which is not about running away from his past.

If you are anything like me you love a second chance at love, you also appreciate HOT heroes and strong female character. That is what you get in Deep Check, but so much more.

Finn and January had been friends forever, part of the three amigos, until one very stupid night when January kissed him, he kissed her back and their best friend saw it. It caused a rift between the friends, caused Finn to blow January off, and made him run from Remington, but never, ever has he forgotten his friends. He a

Another fantastic Station Seventeen story!!

January and Finnegan (Finn) belong together. They just don’t think it’s possible. This is a story about two people suffering with the grief of their friend Asher, lost in the line of duty in a house fire. All three were best friends in school, growing up together. This gave them the bond that shaped their lives. January realizes very early in her life that she loves Finn and Asher but in different ways. She is in love with Finn but will never tell him.

Deep Check (Station Seventeen) by Kimberly Kincaid is a love story that involves three longtime friends since high school who are now busy with careers, and one has died. This thought provoking and heart melting love story asks if one can really go home again, mend fences and rebuild relationships. Love the journey that January Sinclair or Calendar Girl, the nickname given to her years ago by hometown Cajun Rage hockey Cup wining hero Finnegan Donnelly, and “still in their hearts” the memory of ...more

Great read. I love second chance romances and Finn and January did not disappoint. I love the name January, always thought it was super cool and she TOTALLY lived up to it. The way she made a quick decision to accept Finn's apology and how she sincerely put it behind her is a great character trait. Most of us women, hold a grudge a long time, even after an heartfelt apology.

Finn Donnelly has finally achieved his goal of winning the coveted Stanley Cup. He has one thought in mind and that's to show Asher. To let Asher know his faith in Finn was not misplaced. That means visiting Remington again and Asher's grave. When he returns, he doesnt expect all the other baggage that he forgot about, namely January Sinclair. The last time they spoke, he turned her away.
I loved the heat between January and Finn. They have so many unresolved feelings between themselves and Ashe

Friends-to-lovers + a second chance = a romance novella that's anything but short, is definitely sweet, while hot and sexy too. Finn Donnelly's day with The Cup will be spent in his small hometown, a place he hasn't spent much time in since he left after kissing his best friend. January Sinclair has moved on in the last seven years and now runs Station Seventeen, the firehouse filled with the bravest (and sexiest) in town.
But when Finn's trip is extended, it gives him the perfect opportunity to

I love both of these characters and was happy these old friends cleared the air and found the love of a lifetime in each other in the process. I love how she calls him Finnegan and he calls her Calendar Girl, it's so sweet.
