Disclaimer: I won this book from the author.

I thought it would take me a day, two at the most, to read the whole book. Unfortunately, life got in the way. The book shouldn't take long to read, if you want a quick diversion. This was a nice story. I liked the characters and the plot. The descriptions of the countryside and the houses are good.

Note: Although this is book #3 in a series, I do not think you need to read books 1 and 2 first. I didn't, and I had no trouble figuring out how the charact

This is a Goodreads win review. This is book three in a series. In this Lady Margaret is widowed and lonely and she needs some excitement in her life. So she go to Court disguised as a jester, she took some lessons before going. But she does not expect to meet a man, fall in love and try to help him rescue his family.
