Bestselling author Kurt Remington lives to write. He spends twelve hours a day in front of his computer, rarely leaving the seclusion of his beach-front property, where he’s come to finish his latest thriller — that is, until free-spirited Leanna Bray nearly drowns in the ocean trying to save her dog. Kurt’s best-laid plans are shot when he comes to their rescue. Kurt’s as ...more

READ, WRITE AND LOVE AT SEASIDE is the first book in a series by Addison Cole. This series is a Sweet Romance, meaning that there is a love story, but it isn’t too explicit. I think if you’re a beachy Contemporary fan or just want to read something light as the weather warms up, this is a nice one to try.

I immediately fell in love with the hero of this book. Kurt is a bestselling Thriller author and he’s come to Cape Cod to find some alone time to write. However, he is disturbed by a loud and

Read, Write, Love at Seaside by Addison Cole was a sweet and romantic read.
The storyline was entertaining all throughout the book, once I started reading I didn't want to put it down.
Kurt and Leanna were wonderful engaging characters that I easily connected with. I loved their banter, I loved their passion and watching them fall in love brought out all the feels.
These two opposites were perfect for each other and totally belonged together.

I picked up Read, Write, Love at Seaside looking for a light summer book to breeze through on a recent vacation. And it pretty much delivered what I was looking for.

Like most romance novels, I found this book to be a little cheesy but definitely cute. I enjoyed the meet cute of the main characters and seeing their relationship develop. Although my favorite character was most definitely Leanna’s dog, Pepper, who I thought stole the show! The plot here was fairly formulaic, as this genre tends to

My head was all over the place this weekend. I finished so many books, just felt too lazy to keep updating since most of them ended up being meh reads after finishing my Stephen King book.

This was free via Kindle so I thought I give the first book in this series (Sweet With Heat #1) a whirl. Too bad that there wasn't a lot there to recommend it for me. I think that the problem was that both characters were boring and I just found myself becoming increasingly annoyed by the heroine who really sh

This is a cleaned up version of Read, Write, Love by Melissa Foster. It's labeled as being sweet with heat and I was honestly expecting something much cleaner than what I got. It is a sweet story but there is still plenty of heat. The sex fades to black or the door closes but that doesn't make this a clean book because there is still lots of innuendo and lots of details leading up to sex which occurs all throughout the book. Fun story and great characters but I guess I need the sweet without hea ...more

Straight laced mystery writer Kurt Remington and free spirit Leanna Bray, with her jams/jellies and her Happy Mobile. However, anytime Kurt is around Leanna deadlines fly out the window and he couldn't care less. Leanna brings out something in Kurt and that is having fun, relaxing and living life to it's fullest.

Along with all of the Seaside characters, we're take on a sweet journey of living and loving.

For anyone looking a sweet love story, I highly recommend.

I never read the steamier version of this title. However, when I heard Melissa Foster’s alter ego would release the cleaner version I was intrigued and jumped at the chance to read a copy.

What the story is about.

Kurt Remington is a best-selling thriller author, who takes his writing seriously. This dedication led to him living a reclusive life. His family was eager to see him move beyond the world he created in his books and embrace what real life had to offer. Currently, that was not on his lis

Everything that I loved in the original steamier version but tamed down for those that like the romance a bit more on the sweet, innocent, less provocative, yet still fulfilled romance. So, I got less of the steam but I also got a good clean read that will be read by my younger daughter. I have no issue at all giving this book to her to read. She loves romance and having a clean romance that still engages the mind and the senses without the overload on language and explicitly makes me still feel ...more

All the passion without all the details. That's what you get when you read the "sweet" version of the Seaside Summers stories. These are the same stories published by Melissa Foster but for those of us that prefer less detail of the sexy times. Same great writing, same great characters.

This is Kurt and Leanna's story. Kurt is a writer that has come to the Cape to get away and finish up his latest novel. Leanna is on the Cape trying to get her jam making business off the ground. She's flounder fo

I have to admit, I finally put this book down and won't be going back to it. The beginning was strong, showing the character development at a normal, realistic pace.
Then suddenly, things got a bit dull and everyone was suddenly over their personal obstacles with no real challenges. Man, I wish I lived in a world where I was magically over myself and could get out of my own way without hard work!
Too many books are coming out with no real work on character development and growth- I just added ano

Initially I thought this was going to be good. I love moody writers! But unfortunately it went downhill after the third chapter. Bestselling author Kurt has a chance meeting with a free spirited woman, Leanna, after she chases her dog into the sea. I liked both of their stubbornness until their individual selves just disappeared. They fall in love in two days, they realize that they can't live without each other, Leanna is annoying, Kurt is annoying, their family/friends are annoying and that's ...more

Warmth and light abound within an intoxicating romance. The loner and the optimist may be an odd combination, but the healing qualities they bring out in one another helps them find common ground. Ms. Cole proves that romance can be sweetly seductive with a hint of heat and an abundance of heart.

Leanna and Kurt have nothing in common. He's an organizer, she's a mess. He's reserved, she's loud. Yet somehow they work. They bring out the best in each other, even at their worst. Add

ugh! Deanna was just too ditsy. she was completely clueless, unorganized, a slob and she had no idea how to take care of a dog. The author also used long-winded descriptions of things, making it appear that she got paid by the word!

Do you like your romances sweet, hot & with the suggestion of intense sex, without the actual scene? This is the book for you! Kurt Remington is at his beachside house trying to finish writing his next book when he ends up rescuing a gorgeous blonde & her dog. Leanna Bray had taken her dog for a walk on the beach when he took off into the ocean & got caught in the current. Talk about instant chemistry & opposites attracting opposites!

My biggest issue with this book is the fact that it is being billed as 'Sweet with Heat'. Now I know it states, with heat but I still feel that some people may choose to pick up this book thinking that it it a clean and sweet romance, will be disappointed. I don't have issues at all with some good adult content in a book, so I wasn't too worried if this book was a little racy, I'm just thinking about other readers.

To me it seemed like the author took the original manuscript and and bro

Oh my goodness!!

If you're looking for a great summer read, pick up this book!!!

Addison Cole writes such a refeshing love story that's so heartwarming. You will finish reading with a smile on your face and so much joy in your heart.

Kurt stole my heart from the start.
I mean, not only is he an author, but he's a hero in his own right.

Leanna is the opposite of Kurt, but so similar in all the right ways. She's fun and sweet, and knows how to make a good jam;)

Bestselling author Kurt Remington leads a very structured, solitary life. He works out in the morning and writes for 8-10 hours every day on his oceanfront deck overlooking Cape Cod bay. This routine allows him to be immersed in his writing zone as he crafts his latest suspense book. However, Kurt’s writing schedule is interrupted when he hears Leanna Bray calling her puppy. He watches as the disobedient animal runs into the ocean and gets pulled into a strong current. The chemistry between Kurt ...more

The book description gives you a nice idea of the general plot of the book. I truly enjoyed Kurt and Leanna. Leanna was such a free spirit and lived a very simple way of life. It didn't mean that it still wasn't being directed and planned out for her and that is the beauty behind this book. Kurt was such a great guy who was very OCD and stuffy in the beginning. He had his deadlines and work, that was it. He came from a big family but lead his own life.

This is a sweet romance about published thriller writer Kurt Remington whose only thing in his life is his writing and his family. When doing some quiet writing in his seaside cottage he hears screaming, which is very distracting when you are in the middle of writing a plot, so he goes out to see what is happening and there is a dog paddling into the sea and a woman chasing after it screaming its name to come back. Kurt’s first thought is t

“SEASIDE WAS A small community of one-, two-, and three-bedroom cottages, most of which had been owned by the same families for decades. Leanna’s grandfather had purchased their cottage before she was born. Her family had spent a few weeks each summer at the cottage, and during their visits, her parents kept them on the go. Between afternoons at the beach, walking through quaint nearby towns, and evening family-oriented concerts, it left little downtime, and the downtime they’d enjoyed had been spent at Seaside. She was glad for the friendships she’d fostered in the community and even more pleased that they’d lasted this long. She couldn’t imagine her summers without her Seaside friends.” 0 likes
