Man this series just keeps hitting you while your down. THAT ENDING THOUGH! This would be a great trilogy to just binge over a rainy weekend I think. I'm 100% invested in these characters and I'm really hoping for a happy ending.

First of all, Jack is precious and must be protected at all times. I love how he's not the typical emotionless male character and his struggles only make me love him more. I think it's nice that Jack is trying to get Anya to show her emotions a little more instead of th

Excellent. I enjoyed the different story line. The characters were wonderful.
The second book opened Jack up to a different world.

“Jack lay in the bed for a moment, angry and horny.”

I was a little nervous as I started this book, because it takes a few chapters to get going, and I feared it would suffer from the malaise common to mid-trilogy novels.

Then HOLY CRAP DID IT EVER GET GOING. About ten chapters in, it picks you up and starts running, and it doesn’t slow down or let you go. This is a sequel that absolutely lives up to the original. It’s exciting, surprising, and not infrequently hilarious. And that ending. DAMN. N

Coming off the high of finishing the first book, you know that the tasks facing Jack, Anya, and Cam are not going to be easy. The author does not disappoint in the way of fights with demons (both physical and mental), riddles to solve, and bureaucratic red tape to get around. Rounding out the action is the relationships, romantic and not, that influence the characters and their decisions.
S. Usher Evans has done a great job of world-building, pulling from mythology and folklore to give a rich and

I read this book in 4 hours.

Like Bael’s charming smile, the continued development of the characters will pull you in and you won’t want to escape. The individual characters have self-realizations and lots of personal growth. The inter-relationships are tangled and complex, keeping them interesting.

Love, hate, redemption; demons and humans are as different as we think.

Revival is a wonderful continuation of the story built up in Resurgence. I grew more attached to the characters and enjoyed learning more about the characteristics and politics between demon communities. I simultaneously cannot wait to read Redemption and keep avoiding it because I desperately want to know what happens next, but I don't want this journey to be over just yet... ...more

I’m still reeling a bit from the ending on this one, folks. I don’t know if it counts completely as a cliffhanger, but it definitely pulled the rug out from under me and left me anxious to see what happens next.

This story picks up right on the heels of Resurgence, and if you haven’t read that one, go back now and pick it up. You don’t want to jump in to the action in progress. As we begin, demon-hunter Jack has gone on the run with (sort-of) reformed demon Anya, on a mission to understand the cu

In book 2, we’ve found that Jack has temporarily left the ICDM to help Anya in her quest to break the curse that has had a hold of her for over 100 years. She needs to have it broken so she can move on and find her place in life. But she’s riddled with questions and doubt, hoping that she doesn’t turn back into the demon she was before she was cursed. As they move from place to place to hide from Bael, Cam, and the ICDM, the pair become closer as Anya grows weaker.

Ack! This one was great becaus

Gotta love some fun urban fantasy! The second book in this unique series builds upon all the drama and mayhem that erupted in the first book. I really enjoyed visiting the characters again and watching them run for their lives. Wait, that sounds a little off...I enjoyed reading about their exploits ;) As Jack and Anya travel around the world, attempting to solve the mystery of her curse, they're followed by death, destruction, and the ICDM, which includes Cam. Honestly, I felt the worst for Jack ...more

Evans has come out to be one of my favorite authors she knows how to get you invested in her story and the characters she creates. After finishing the first book I couldn't wait to delve into the second book to continue to find out what happened to our trio and Evans doesn't disappoint. It does seem to start off just a tad slow the pacing does pick up and you see Jack develop from that man afraid to do anything because he doesn't want to mess up to realizing he has a purpose once again. Anya sta ...more

Evans really knows how to write a sequel! She strikes a great balance between building on the events of book 1 and answering *some* of the reader's burning questions on one hand and revealing more mysteries and dangers for the story to explore in the next book. The plots thicken and the characters get even more interesting... and in trouble! As always, the characters are the absolute best part of the story. The relationships between Jack and Cam and between Jack and Anya are enthralling, and so ...more

I got to read this early for typo-checking and I honestly can’t believe how I kept myself from screaming about this book for so long until now! I mean, I loved this book so much that I find it hard to just stay coherent while talking about it, but I will try my best, don’t worry!

This second installment for the demon spring series was intense, action-packed and just as good—or even better—than the first book! I really enjoyed everything that happened through this book—especially how things center
