Garn Press has gathered together essays by great scholars, scientists, and renowned teachers who oppose the direction in which President Trump is leading the country. These are truthful, fact filled essays, which include very personal essays on the vulnerabilities of children and adults who are directly impacted by Trump's hostile policies that target people and the planet. The essays deepen understandings, present research based arguments, and includes essential knowledge to all those who want to participate in the national movement to stop him.

If you wanted to talk to some of the leading activists fighting for civil rights, education and science, you'd have to attend one of the major marches in Washington, DC. Or you could just pick up a copy of this book. It is overflowing with the kind of on-the-ground wisdom you only get from people who have dedicated their lives to fighting the good fight. I particularly liked the essays by P.L. Thomas, Yohuru Williams, Russ Walsh, Denny Taylor, Katie Lapham and George Lakoff. They really helped me see their subjects from a different perspective. These are scholarly essays written from a ground up point of view. This is grass roots journalism. (And the essay I wrote isn't bad, either!) Do yourself a favor and buy this book! It will restore die hard activists and hopefully inspire others to join the resistance.
A great reminder that we should not give up- There are activists of all kinds from many diverse fields who continue to fight the good fight! We must find inspiration from them and commit to our own actions!
Overall a great book. It was a bit heavy on the education essays for me. That does not take away from the quality of the essays. I particularly enjoyed the essays by the following authors: * George Lakoff * Charlene Smith * David Joseph Kolb * P.L. Thomas * Jennifer C. Berkshire
