Victoire a enfin réussi à attirer l'attention de Finn-le-magnifique mais fréquenter le garçon le plus convoité de la ville n'est pas de tout repos. Elle doit défendre son territoire à grand coups de croche-pattes, obliger ses camarades à organiser des soirées en son honneur et convaincre ses professeurs qu'un club de débat en partenariat avec le lycée de garçons devrait être LA priorité éducative de l'année. Tout cela serait plus facile si ses meilleures amies n'avaient pas la ridicule prétention de s'intéresser à leur propre existence au lieu de lui vouer un culte bien mérité. I’ve got a daughter (The Ginger Ninja) and a son (Goblin Baby) and a computer-genius husband. We live in a higgledy-piggledy house where I can never find anything. It usually turns up under a book. There are enough Children’s and YA books in my house to build a fort with. But I absolutely haven’t ever skived off work to do that.
When I run out of hilarious things that happened to me as a teenage that I can disguise as fiction, I take a break by writing dystopian thrillers as C.J. Harper. Nothing more relaxing than a totalitarian state where everyone is out to get you.

I started this immediately after finishing Have a Little Faith, something that I rarely do but Faith has secured herself a place in my heart. I adore this girl.
Keep the Faith picks up straight after the last book ended and I’m telling you now that when you get to the end of this one you want book 3. Which I’m hoping will come soon. (Maybe Candy Harper can be bribed? *ponders*).
Everything is still wonderful; writing, characters, humour, pacing, etc. One of the things that makes Faith so lovable that underneath her ‘persona’ she has a heart of gold – when it matters she puts her friends needs first.
I can’t remember the last time I read books in a series back to back, let alone on the same day but I had to.
Thank you Candy Harper, I thoroughly enjoyed this and please can we have the Faith #3 soon.

I seem to have been caught up in a spate of 'proper ya' - YA books that seem like they are most definitely more enjoyable for teens, rather than us adults who like to read YA. Keep the Faith is one of those books, but I have to say that didn't actually stop me from enjoying it.
Faith is younger than MCs I usually like, but I couldn't help loving her. She's bonkers, self-absorbed, faithful to her friends, and Trouble with a capital T! Faith was a wonderful reminder of what teenagers are really like. That absolute conviction that they're right about everything, and all adults are idiots. Their belief that their parents were put on earth for the sole reason of providing food and cash.
Keep the Faith was, for me, the perfect antidote to gritty books full of heavy issues. It's a breath of fresh air, a fun and frolicksome trip through the life of a teenager.

The second book in the Faith series with plenty of more pranks, romance, snogging, friendship, and a grandma stealing shorts. I was also rolling my eyes at the whole Finn/Ethan/Faith stuff. How she doesn't see that Ethan is clearly interested in her is astounding. She can see that with Finn but not with Ethan. I am glad with her decision, though I wish she had done things faster. Tons of friendship as well, and a couple of pranks. I loved that she thought of a debating club and I wonder if we will see more of it in the next book (which I so need to get). There are also plenty of parties and silly parents. I did feel sorry that Faith wasn't able to hold a birthday party due to what happened with the previous party (Faith, how?).
I laughed my butt off while reading this one. Faith is one fabulous character.
Again like the previous book, the only thing I had an issue with was her violence. Oh, and something that stood out before but came back in this one as well... the fact she thinks she is vastly superior over her friends.

Reading the second book in this series brought about mixed feelings. It made me realise that though she's sassy and witty, she's also an annoying girl who has very little respect for those who are older.
I rolled my eyes. "I know that multitasking is a bit tricky for your generation."
Granny stuck her tongue out. "I can do these things at the same time," and she jammed a New Berry fruit in her mouth with one hand and smacked me round the head with the other.
Three cheers for Faith's gran! ^_^
She's also pointlessly rude to her younger brother? Just hits him for no good reason? No wonder he doesn't like her...
A lot of this novel consisted of Faith pondering on her relationship with Finn and also how to interpret Ethan's weird behaviour towards her.
As for Finn... he wasn't the smartest guy but he was nice. Maybe to the point of being a bit too naive but still nice. And I could agree with him on this:"Cards are cool. I don't know about that Valentine's thing. It's like everybody has to do the same thing on the same day?"
Her best friend Megs is the BEST:I stiffened. "What about Ethan?"
"See! You can't even be honest about that. You live in a fantasy world; you just pretend everything's brilliant, but it isn't and I'm sick of it."
All in all, wasn't too keen on the 'love' lives of 14-to-15 year olds. Why bother with dating at that age, anyway? It's most likely going to be a waste of time.

I remember buying this without knowing that Keep the Faith actually was book 2 in a trilogy.
And as I read it I knew that there were some things that needed explanation. However, at that time I couldn't be bothered thinking about that.(though I did purchase the first book after reading this book, cause duh! Candy Harper is a genius) I was to busy laughing. To busy gasping for breath while reading this book. I am in looooove with Faith. That girl is so unbe-freaking-lieveably hilarious. And all her friends backing her up were awesome too. The friendships in this book were goals and the thing between Ethan and Faith was amusing and brilliant. You can't help rooting for Faith (Seriously I dare you).
And can we talk about that ending???????????????? OH THE CLIFFHANGER!!!! GAWD I freaked ouuut. I kept looking for those missing pages in the book, cause certainly Harper hadn't ended it like that??? I nearly screamed in frustation and turned to my dear friend Google. Looking for a book 3. And I couldn't find ANYTHING that said that there would be a future book 3. Dear little me was a total mess and was very very sad.
BUT I did not give up and few months later it was announced that the 3rd book would come out. I was sooo glad.
And as I read it I knew that there were some things that needed explanation. I liked this book however I did not enjoy it as much as the first and I also didn’t find it as funny, which was a little disappointing. I didn’t think it was anything special but it was an easy read and fairly straightforward/good storyline. Would recommend if you wanted something that was a light read and was a fairly decent book!

When I compare Keep the Faith to Have a Little Faith, I have to admit, I was a little disappointed with the outcome. After the roller-coaster of laughs and humour I experienced in the first installment, the second book didn't have that quality as much, and focused much more on the relationship, which was quite frankly very lackluster and had me wondering where humourous and redheaded vixen Faith had actually gone. As if that wasn't bad enough, Harper gave me one of the biggest most unexpected turn of events in the last few pages that I felt myself close to tears, however, whether that was down to the story or the 3 and a half hours sleep I'd had in 24 hours, I still don't have a clue.
Now don't get me wrong, when the humour was around in Keep the Faith, it was around in abundance; Faith's family had a far more humourous crack in them in this installment, and Faiths friends, specifically Lily and Angharad, had huge amounts of character development and where really up on the comebacks with Faith, but I admit I was a little down-hearted when Megs character was glued to Cameron for most of the story, and when she wasn't, she was focusing on her Grammys's health, however, her friendship with Faith was of the much less humourous style and much on being support for one another, and keeping each other anchored, which I did come to appreciate the further on I read. In fact, as I was reading the book, it became apparent that this installment was much more heavily focused on families, friends, the support network they provide and maturing and growing up, which in year 10, is no doubt the place to start. When Faith was completely herself, her sarcasm and humour was second to none;
I got a text from Granny this evening. It said, "I'm outside." It completely creeped me out.
I could have her arrested for harassment.
-and it brought me back to Have a Little Faith, and the Faith I'd fallen in love with, the simplest of moments in the story would have me actually laughing out loud at 1am in the morning and the wonderful connection she formed to people she would have avoided previously was fantastic too. I'm not going to deny that Faith was quite flawed in Keep in the Faith, she was very self-absorbed and considered herself before others, at least in the first three quarters of the novel, and I was glad to see the back of some of that Faith's qualities.
I also confess I didn't quite enjoy the plot of this installment as much as it's predecessor either; it felt like I was reading and reading on occasions rather than enjoying he reading experience like I had done previously, and I genuinely believe that was down the relationship aspect. I won't give anything major away about the relationship, but Faith's dismissal of Ethan's feelings began to frustrate me, and her attitude towards Finn frustrated me even more, I wanted to reach into the book and slap her silly, and I commend Harper's writing talent in being able to make me feel the emotions I felt about the scenario, but that didn't mean I enjoyed it. Some of the book felt repetitive, always meeting and Juicy Lucy's, always the 'snogging', but other parts of the book, the none relationship parts were utterly wonderful. I enjoyed reading about Faith's relationship with her Mum, Dad and Sam, and even with her Granny, the days they spent together and the time they spent doing family things, it really helped Faith's character development and gave her an extra level that wasn't about humour or comebacks, but about love and appreciation, and her job hunt was also a stepping stone for her; and I really loved the changes she went through alongside the plot.
In the end, I enjoyed Keep the Faith less than Have a Little Faith. I was operating on little sleep and admit that could have been one the causes for my lack of adoration, but I do truthfully believe it was the too much involved boring relationship and slightly lacking humour, however, what I did enjoy I enjoyed a lot, and the distress I felt once I'd finished is a guarantee that as soon as the third installment, which I'm placing bets on being call 'Leap of Faith', is released, I will be snapping it up and begging for a happy ending, because my girl Faith needs a happy ending.

I read Have a Little Faith last month and craved a sequel so badly so I was mega excited when I received Keep the Faith to review. It saved me from a lot of pain!Keep the Faith carries on where Have a Little Faith left off and, let me tell you, it was even better.
1. Keep the Faith is even funnier than Have a Little Faith, the first book. You may even wet yourself reading it, or cry with tears of laughter. You have been warned (but it’s totally worth it).
2. Faith. Do I need to say anymore? Faith is possibly one of my favourite characters ever – can we please be best friends?
3. Keep the Faith is incredibly easy to slip into. It doesn’t matter if you can’t remember much of what went down in Have a Little Faith, you will remember once you pick Keep the Faith back up.
4. Keep the Faith is very true to UK teenage life. I can connect with Faith and her friends because they are so realistic and Harper has managed to capture all the aspects of being a teenager perfectly and write them into Keep the Faith.
5. It’s a relatively short book, but a lot is packed in. I read it within an evening, and it was definitely an evening well spent!
6. This is the perfect book to pick up if you want to escape your normal life and be transported somewhere else. You’ll forget all about your actual life!

This book talks about a fourteen year old girl named Faith that talks about the drama in her life and the things that is happening. Her parents won't give her a credit card so she works as a babysitter. Her teacher still hates her and Faith is making planes to get her teacher to like her. Faith thinks that her family is embarrassing and her brother is Sam really annoying and the most boring part in her life is going to her grandmothers house. She can't make up her mind about Ethan and Finn. This book talks about a teenager life and that being fourteen is hard and something never change.
This book is really funny and faith is a little freaky and a lot funny. I really like the character Faith I felt like she is talking mostly about my life. I also really like this book because it talks about her experience through when she was fourteen and this is the type of book that I like and I enjoy reading it. It also talks about the hard things that she passed through and how she was dealing with it which in general I really like knowing how a teenager like me

Oh my gosh. I love it! So, I have read the first book which I enjoyed so much and had a lot of lol's over it. I knew there was a sequel because a) it was on the back of the book and b) it ended on a mega cliff hanger. Well, I thought this was the last book which is not the case. Now, I have to wait for the next book to be written and published to have closure from this series. Throughout the book, I was hanging of every word and I have to admire Faith's witt, charm, sarcasm and self-loving. I wish I had her confidence (Faith is the main character). I don't want to put any spoilers in but I think this book is amazing. Well done, Candy Harper.

I raced through this book in hours. It was just the loveliest, daftest, most heart-warming of reads. The first Faith book was ace- this second one is perhaps even better. Relationships develop and change, yet some things stay very much the same. Faith's razor sharp wit, her hot-pants wearing grandma, and her adorable friends all feature. And as for the ending... well, I wouldn't want to spoil it for you.

Ruddy brilliant. I have been transported back to my teenage self (if I had been a lot cooler and more interesting). I LOVE these books - they're hilarious and pitch-perfect, and I can't bear to wait for book 3!

really loved this book! ended on a cliffhanger again! don't know how i'm going to wait for the next one. Faith was as funny and self obsessed as ever and i loved her for it!

I loved this book! Faith is such a lovable character! would thoroughly recommend it. The reason I didn't give it the whole 5 stars is because it's a little clichè but enjoyable anyhow
