Favorite Quotes:

I’m actually a very good boy. Let me show you just how good I can be.”

“Mom, doesn’t she look like Cruella de Vil without the black part of her hair?” He had a point. “She’s evil like her too. She said no puppies just like…”

My Review:

Martini Sunday was the final installment of the Hookup Café Series and featured a rather complicated plot, lots of secondary characters, and some suspense along with Ms. Flowers' unique humor and deliciously steamy love scenes. Vixen was a hot mess with a cute kid and no shortage of men trolling around her. Luckily for Sutton, she was only interested in his well-toned muscles and thoughtful personality, but she keeps him guessing and on his toes as her history was extremely sketchy and no one seemed to have all the pieces to this jagged puzzle until near the end. Even though I had previously read all the previous installments, I often felt a bit off-kilter and confused, however, I remained amused and entertained by the levity, breezy banter, and the sizzling sensual scenes; and then it all came together for me shortly before the epilogue. Ms. Flowers has a breezy writing style, although the storyline would most likely be difficult to follow without knowledge of the previous installments.

Wow. Although I've heard about the Hookup Cafe series before, I haven't actually read any of them. But if I'm gonna judge from this book, this series has got to be awesome!
Vixen Dupree is the owner of a funky martini bar. After fleeing and looking for a safe place for her and her son, Vixen has hired a sexy bodyguard to keep her son safe. The only problem is, she can't stop thinking about him.
Sutton Beauclaire has been attracted to Vixen since he started working for her. He hopes to one day have a family with Vixen and her son Dawson.
Just when things get started between them her ex-husband does the unthinkable. With Sutton help and support Vixen manages to overcome a devastating situation with some pleasant surprises thrown in.

Fifi has certainly ended the week on a high! Martini Sunday was a thrilling, secret filled book! Due to her evil ex-husband and his wife, Vixen had to flee with her son and leave behind her job at Cafelicious, and all her friends. She hired Sutton - Darla's brother - as her son's bodyguard. Vixen and Sutton both liked each other and one night they shifted from employer/employee to lovers!

Things take a turn when her son's father, her high school sweetheart, turns up out the blue, and things just go from bad to worse when her ex husband does the unspeakable! Sutton is right there by her side throughout it all, and Vixen shares a little secret of her own! The ending to the book is truly amazing and the perfect end to the series.

I read the whole book in one sitting, I just couldn't put it down.

It only took one book to make me a huge fan of this author. Just one book and I was a goner.
The thing that attracted me the most was her attention to details. It was the way that she had created her stories. I have read a few books from her and I can say, without a shadow of a doubt that I'm her biggest fan.
Fifi Flowers has and intense, hot and real writing that will leave you breathless and feeling good.
I totally advise you to take a chance in her and see for yourself.
Martini Sunday tells the stories of Vixen and Sutton.
Let me just say one thing. Have you read the Hookup Café series? If not I advise you to do so in order to understand this book. Despite all books are standalones, they will make you know the characters better and make you understand this main character.
Vixen is a single mother that will do everything to protect her cub. In order to do so she hired a bodyguard. She's feisty and sassy as hell.
In order to achieve her goals she moves to a new city and opens her own business.
Sutton is in love with Vixen since he accepted the job to protect her son. He's so into her that he only sees a future with both of them.
Their lifes are about to be put into the limbo when Vixen's ex husband do the unthinkable.
And my lips are sealed...
Dayum Fifi I'm still shaking. I loved the Hookup Café but this book left me speechless.
The suspense almost killed me and I wanted to do some pretty bad stuff to some people...
The love, friendship, loyalty are very present in this book as well as evil, betrayal and hate.
There were parts of the book that I laughed so hard but there were others that I was scared and afraid that something really bad would happen.
And sweet lord the hot scenes are there and will make you blush.
Fifi I've already said this but I will shout it out. I love your writing, I love that your words have the ability to make me happy, sad, hot and happy.
Can't wait for your next work that I'm sure it will be a success just like every single book from you.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

5 Holy Hotness Stars!!

I have been waiting for Martini Sunday since Saturday: Light, Full Bodied & Screwed. Martini Sunday is Vixen's book. If you've read any of the Hook-up Cafe books the you know what Vixen's backstory is. If you haven't then heck I'm not tell you....GO READ THE HOOK-UP CAFE SERIES.

After reading this series I have to say Vixen's got the best alpha out of them all!! Sutton Beauclaire is the VERY definition of hot alpha. Sutton is Darla older brother who we met in Saturday: Light, Full Bodied & Screwed. Sutton is helping protect Vixen and her son Dawson from her crazy ex-husband.

This book is HOT, Suspenseful, Twisty, and OH so Good! This is the perfect read for a lazy Sunday.

This was a great ending to a awesome series. This series could be read in any order. This is one of the things I most love about Ms. Flowers books or series. I was so happy to learn what Vixen's big secret was. It was a relief to finally hear what she was hiding from the girls and Vin at Cafelicous. Or AKA hookup cafe. There was a lot of sexual tension between Vixen and Sutton from the began. I liked how they tried to keep things on the down low because of Dawson Vixen's son. I really related to that because of being a single mother myself. Its a great story with a great storyline for the final book. Yes it had a kid as a main character in the story but Ms. Flowers don't let that make it any less hot and sexy as her other books in this series. It still has lots of hot sex scenes. It was done very tastefully and it didn't distract from the story at all. Their is nothing more sexy than a man taking care of a child. I'm sorry that this is the last book in the series. I just fell in love with the gang from hookup cafe.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

From the Hookup Cafe series by Fifi Flowers, comes the next novel, Martini Sunday featuring Vixen who is running and hiding from her evil ex and Sutton the bodyguard she hires to protect her son. Ever since the Hookup Cafe series, I have been eager for Vixen's story. And oh boy, her story is filled with secrets, delicious romance, plenty of sweetness and sexiness that put a smile on my face and warmed my heart.

With the amount of amazing twists revelations I didn't expect, I felt like this was one whopper of a great book! Vixen is strong and bold, beautiful and a a great mom while Sutton can be a sexy alpha, a protective and caring man, and seems to know just what to say to make things better. OMG, This book was just DA BOMB!!

Martini Sunday was and is PERFECT! I knew Miss Flowers was going to bring her game...but she really..REALLY outdid herself with this story! If you haven't read the Hookup Cafe series, after reading this...you will NO DOUBT want to! I give Martini Sunday an AMAZINGLY SEDUCTIVE FIVE SHOOTING STARS!

Oh, what a complicated web Fifi weaves!
She saved the best for the last of the Hook-Up Cafe series.
My head’s kind of spinning from all the twists and turns and revelations in this book, throw in a little bit of spice and some suspense and we have a cracker.
Vixen Dupree is hiding from her ex-husband way out in the desert town of Palm Springs and has taken over a bar that belonged to her best friend and Cafelicious owner Pansie’s parents. (See Hooked up Cafe book 1, MONDAY: Tall, Dark & Aromatic)
It’s a hot and trendy bar now and everyone wants to be there.
Sutton Beauclaire is her saviour, he came to Vixen’s rescue when her ex appeared at Vin’s D’Barn Bistro Grand opening on the Beauclaire Vineyard estate, he’s also Darla’s brother. (See (Hookup Café Book 6, SATURDAY: Light, Full-Bodied & Screwed) He followed her to Palm Springs to be her and her son, Dawson’s, bodyguard. He’s secretly in love with her, though, just as Vixen is with him.
There’s no angst between the characters in this one, just a lot of convoluted back story. It was kind of hard to figure out all the different people and what they were up to. I really liked the book despite that. Finding out who Dawson’s real father was and his connection to some of the people in Vixen’s old life was an eye-opener. I’m not going to reveal it here, you’ll just have to buy your own copy to find out. But, suffice it to say, the ending to this book and the entire series made me fist-pump for Vixen. Sorry to see this one go.

I really loved this story! There were some twists and turns I didn't see coming. A character I was sure I wanted to go back where they came from, proved me wrong about their intentions and just how helpful they could be. We catch up with Vixen as she starts a new life with her son. Sutton has taken it upon himself to make sure that the two are safe. The longer he is with them the more he doesn't want to let go, because he considers them family. Can he show Vixen how right they can be together? There is more trouble brewing in the background that has to be dealt with before they can move on. Just when you think you have it figured out the author shows you that you don't. This is a great must read. *I was gifted and ARC for an honest review.*

I finally had the opportunity to read Martini Sunday, Vixen's story, and I absolutely loved it. On the run from her ex-husband and his crazy wife, Vixen Dupree has always wanted to have her own business. So she open a bar called Martini Sunday with the help of Sutton, her son's bodyguard. She didn't mean to fall in love with him, but when both of her pasts one calling there's only one person she wants by her side. I loved reading Vixen and Sutton's story and loved seeing all the girls from The Hook-Up café make a awesome cameo.

I loved this story – incredible relationship development!!

“Vixen” and her son Dawson are hiding from their past. Hired bodyguard Sutton grows close to both as he is constantly in their lives. An art major that moved from personal training into security; Sutton brings many advantages to this pair such as coaching Dawson’s team and encouraging his reading through comic books and art.

A fabulous story of attraction, danger, family, and a scintillating relationship.

Another wonderful story by Fifi Flowers. This is Vixen who worked at Cafèlicious and Sutton who is Darla's brother who came to her rescue at the end of Vin's story. This is a sweet and sexy fast read filled with mystery and secrets. I couldn't put it down. As always loved the story line, you have new love, ex husbands, old college sweetheart and newly discovered family in this story. I love Vixen and Sutton. Wish I could find me a Sutton. A wonderful ending to The Hook up series. Sorry to see it end.

Although I loved the entire series, "Martini Sunday" was definitely the cherry on top (or should that be OLIVE?)!
Great story filled with suspense and excitement. Several amazing twists and just enough fun, love, and romance.
Family dynamics can be so intriguing and intricate, and that fact is well portrayed in this story!
You really need to just read the whole series...starting with "Monday,Tall, Dark, and Aromatic," then continuing thru the rest of the week!
You won't be disappointed! 😉

This was a great story. Vixen was first introduced in the Cafelicious series and it was great to finally read her story. Sutton was the perfect match to Vixen and the story had loads of chemistry as well as a few twists and turns to the plot. Overall a great read that I highly recommend

So I want to rephrase this tiny quote mentioned by Vixen in the book “my crazy life” because that is one of the thoughts that came to my mind while going deep into the reading of this book. Actually, the story of the book is quite crazy but in an amazing sort of way because Vixen has a heavy burden to carry but this doesn't stop her from getting what she wants; a new identity, a new life and mostly a new love. Her encounter with Sutton is quite unusual because she will hire him to be her son’s bodyguard owing to her tumultuous past with her ex husband and mean wife. Their attraction is mutual and obvious to everyone surrounding them but Vixen is afraid that if she let's her walls down, she will later need to remove Sutton from his job as her protector. Strangely nothing of this will happen because they will both be swept in a whirlwind of entanglements and twists that will give them the opportunity to finally reveal their feelings and put Vixen’s past behind. I need to stop writing otherwise I will reveal the entire plot and ruin all the fun. Highly recommended, once you start reading you won't be able to put it down. Sexy, sweet, sensual and much more.

Vixen is on the run, with her son Dawson, from her ex-husband. She hires Sutton to protect her son and essentially be his manny. But Sutton has always had is heart set on Vixen and Dawson becoming his family.

Although this is supposed to be a standalone, it seemed like I was missing something ... like Sutton and Vixen's story started in another book. Although I found the book entertaining, some of the dialogue was cheesy. And really ... who changes their name to Vixen ... especially when you already have a kid?

REVIEW
New to me author.
This is a somewhat comical romance. The male is the one who wants so much more, and he is hoping the woman of his attention wants as much.

Vixen has a lot of baggage and is trying to rebuild her life with her young son.

Sutton knows what he wants in life and has always gone after it although his childhood leaves a lot to be desired.

Cute, Short and I stayed glued to the pages.
Although I have never read anything by this author, the book flowed nicely, and I didn't feel like I missed anything.

This is a Cafelicious book that follows Vixen and her son.
She needs to keep her son safe so she hires a bodyguard for him named Sutton. The relationship between mother ( employer) and bodyguard( employee) does a 180 quickly. In the end their employer and employee relationship will never be the same and forever changed.
This book is the same as the others... quick read , secrets between parties and a quick read .

This review is my own opinion and just FYI I have read and liked other books by this author. But this one I couldn't finish. It started like it was in middle of the story and not the beginning. Too many confusing who is the dad and why is she hiding moments. I felt like I was missing like the first hour of a movie and playing catch up. Reviewed for HeadTripping Books by Amy

This is my first book by this author. I am not sure if all her books are written the in the same style. The beginning of the book seemed like it was picking up from another story. Vixen and Sutton have already met. they have established a working relationship. They already have feelings for each other although they haven't acted on them. Her past is messy and we get pieces leaked to us throughout the story until it all comes out. The flow of the story was off for me. It was a quick read. I got a kick out of Vixen's son Dawson.
