enemies to lovers, stepbrother/stepsister, tons of angst and petty teenage drama, strong heroine and asshole hero?? whats not to love?
even though the grovelling was satisfying, most of it was more telling than showing and that really bugged me.

People had tried to break me before. He would fail, just like the others.
This was pretty good. Yes it’s very cliche high school drama, if you like new adult or mature YA, then you will LOVE this story. Step-siblings who hate each other, to lovers. The beginning is the best part, the middle starts to drag, and then the end is good enough. It gets four stars because it definitely kept my interest, but four or five chapters of back and forth could definitely have been cut.

It was just okay. I was bored mostly because all the dramas were just too funny and ridiculous.

No matter how many times I tried and how much I wanted to, I couldn’t hate Rourke. Although I disliked his actions, I understood his reasons. My heart hurt for Rourke and the stuff he had been through. I adored the angst between Rourke and Mercedes. The passion and love hate emotions between them was clear to see. I like this trope... Asshole hero with issues EVENTUALLY falls for the cliche girl from across the track. in this case being his step-sister. Classic he hates her but eventually craves her trope. And for the heroine it's survival of verbal abuse, then resistance to attraction with the eventual virgin sex orgasm (Psst! Ya right!)

This is the perfect enemies-to-lovers romance. While Rourke and Mercedes are initially drawn to each other, their hatred for each other and what they represent colours the vast majority of the book. I think one reason why I love the enemies to lovers trope is because it results in a slow burn romance. Too many romance novels have the hero and heroine fall in love at first sight. This is my first book by Chloe Walsh, and I have to say this book was beyond awesome.
I loved every minute of it and never wanted it to end.
Endgame is wonderfully written.
Chloe Walsh really knows how to tell a story that will have you laughing one minute and crying your eyes out the next.

You know what's one of the many ways to make me one-click a book? Say it's a STEPBROTHER Romance in your blurb or review. I don't read the entire blurb, I just see the word STEPBROTHER, oh jeez, I'm grabbing that fast as I can!
BUT sadly, in some occasions, I don't get a taboo/ stepbrother romance that actually has a solid story in it. Chapters are filled with sex and the entire thing just become porno on paper. It's taboo, who cares about the story, you say? I do. I really do. Lucki ...more

I love Chloe Walsh's writing style! It's fun to read and not typical characters. She creates backstories that explain accurately why characters are who they are you it bonds you to them.
My only problems are wanting more answers!!
What happened in Mercedes past that she hints at?

why when I find a great book, I devour it too quickly.....Chloe Walsh you have done it again, you are definitely my favorite author, you have never let me down in a book. Rourke and Six are such an amazing couple, from hate to love, this book had so much emotion in it that I was hooked from start to finish - I just wish it could have gone on longer and now a story needs to be written about Molly and Daryl
I am absolutely in love with Rourke Owens! Chloe Walsh is amazing and has done it again. Given us another alpha asshole and an equally sassy heroine who explode when they collide! An amazing read!

I LOVED IT! Step siblings and BULLY tropes.. you really can’t go wrong!! I loved Mercedes/Six! She was such a strong heroine! Ohhh and Rourke! I just don’t have words for his perfection and a**holeness.
A few things tho.. 1. It could have been shortened. It was a bit repetitive. 2. I wanted the parents reaction! WHY would that not be included?

I managed to get through 15 chapters of this book, but then couldn't proceed any further. The writing was average and lazy, with spelling and grammatical errors, which is a pet peeve and can completely turn me off from a book.
I found the characters incredibly immature and the drama was ridiculous. I found myself laughing at how absurd some of the dialogue was especially considering the two main characters supposedly despised each other. Too many eye rolls and that was enough for me to stop ...more
