My name is Mercy James and I've always had a three-point plan.
1. Don't fall in love in high-school.
2. Get through senior year and snag a full-ride scholarship to college.
3. Get the hell away from my irresponsible mother.

I didn't think that was too much to ask for, and I've worked damn hard to make it a reality.
Until my mother went and did the unthinkable!
She's pregnant.

enemies to lovers, stepbrother/stepsister, tons of angst and petty teenage drama, strong heroine and asshole hero?? whats not to love?

even though the grovelling was satisfying, most of it was more telling than showing and that really bugged me.

"I was his endgame.
And he was mine."

since this is a bully romance, the characters were PERFECT for this kind of book.

Rourke: was a great a combination of asshole/alpha and sweet. yeah, he was cruel and mean in the beginning an

angsty...anticipating tension just the way i like it!

There were some "minor" issues i had with all the age related stuff and i honestly thought it would bug me more, and thank fuck it didnt LOL

The story

- it's not smth you haven't heard of before - A 17 year old girl Mercedes/Mercy James aka Six enters into a Florida Ocean bay's rich Owens family of three by her mom's marriage to the man of the house. What she enters is a world of hidden gri

I liked this a lot and had I not previously read Binding 13, then I might have added an additional star.

I seem to be in the minority here, I guess, at least for now... 2 or 2,5 stars max…

Here is all I want to say about this book:

- Senior high-school students (17 years old), who are also step-brother/sister

- Mercedes’s mother is Rourke’s father’s fifth wife and he is sick of his father bringing a new wife so often to the house

- Rourke treats Mercedes like trash for a long while, calling him Six (the sixth step-sibling his father brings home) and she gives as good as she gets until her hormones and

People had tried to break me before. He would fail, just like the others.

This was pretty good. Yes it’s very cliche high school drama, if you like new adult or mature YA, then you will LOVE this story. Step-siblings who hate each other, to lovers. The beginning is the best part, the middle starts to drag, and then the end is good enough. It gets four stars because it definitely kept my interest, but four or five chapters of back and forth could definitely have been cut.
It was just okay. I was bored mostly because all the dramas were just too funny and ridiculous.

The push and pull between the protagonists were good but it wasn't enough for the plot.

Solidly good step sibling romance!
Highly recommended.

Living With The Bad Boy (Sharlay) meets Paper Princess (Erin Watt)

New book boyfriend, anyone??

This was amazing!!!

No matter how many times I tried and how much I wanted to, I couldn’t hate Rourke. Although I disliked his actions, I understood his reasons. My heart hurt for Rourke and the stuff he had been through. I adored the angst between Rourke and Mercedes. The passion and love hate emotions between them was clear to see. I was shouting at my kindle for Rourke to accept his love for Mercedes. I was rooting for them to become a couple. When they weren’t fighting you could see that they were perfect for o ...more

I like this trope... Asshole hero with issues EVENTUALLY falls for the cliche girl from across the track. in this case being his step-sister. Classic he hates her but eventually craves her trope. And for the heroine it's survival of verbal abuse, then resistance to attraction with the eventual virgin sex orgasm (Psst! Ya right!)

Way too much back and forth. Kinda like watching a tennis match on high speed. back forth back forth back forth!! STOP!!!!

And the hero lost major points for me. (vi

This is the perfect enemies-to-lovers romance. While Rourke and Mercedes are initially drawn to each other, their hatred for each other and what they represent colours the vast majority of the book. I think one reason why I love the enemies to lovers trope is because it results in a slow burn romance. Too many romance novels have the hero and heroine fall in love at first sight. While with enemies-to-lovers books like this one, the protagonists were attracted to each other at first, they truly d ...more

Do you think if I say it enough I can convince the series queen Chloe Walsh to give up this ludicrous idea of a stand alone?!!

Loved the story of Six and Rourke. Step brother and sister thrown together by their irresponsible MIA parents. Rourke's father is onto wife no 5 with a baby on the way. He has been absent most of Rourke's life except when he wants him to meet the new flavor and Six's mum is actually the child. Six has been the responsib

This is my first book by Chloe Walsh, and I have to say this book was beyond awesome.
I loved every minute of it and never wanted it to end.
Endgame is wonderfully written.
Chloe Walsh really knows how to tell a story that will have you laughing one minute and crying your eyes out the next.

4.5 STARS!!

You know what's one of the many ways to make me one-click a book? Say it's a STEPBROTHER Romance in your blurb or review. I don't read the entire blurb, I just see the word STEPBROTHER, oh jeez, I'm grabbing that fast as I can!

BUT sadly, in some occasions, I don't get a taboo/ stepbrother romance that actually has a solid story in it. Chapters are filled with sex and the entire thing just become porno on paper. It's taboo, who cares about the story, you say? I do. I really do. Lucki

W.O.W.Z.A. This book was like crack. Roxie, my blog partner, urged me to dive into Endgame and AHH, I'm thrilled that I did!!

I want my very own Rourke. He is my favorite kind of a$$hole... hard on the outside and sweet on the inside. Kinda like an M&M... delicious. Chloe Walsh grabbed my attention from chapter one and I was dying over the angst. My absolute favorite kind, not just thrown in to create unnecessary drama, but sprinkled throughout making your insides clench and your heartbeat thump

The author focused too much on his relationship with the
X. He treated her so well even knowing that she cheated. He was loyal to her an never slept with someone else. I can always get over the bullying but in this bio I can’t. He never reached the level with the heroine that he did with the ex so he doesn’t redeem himself. That’s the key with a bully romance, the guy has to redeem himself. But being that he keeps sleeping with the ex after he meets her and even sleeps with our heroine. If he do

I love Chloe Walsh's writing style! It's fun to read and not typical characters. She creates backstories that explain accurately why characters are who they are you it bonds you to them.

My only problems are wanting more answers!!
What happened in Mercedes past that she hints at?
What happened in the past between Molly and Daryl?
Was there ever a possibility between Ameila and Daryl?
How does Ameila's high school experience go?

I don't want this to be a standalone :(

why when I find a great book, I devour it too quickly.....Chloe Walsh you have done it again, you are definitely my favorite author, you have never let me down in a book. Rourke and Six are such an amazing couple, from hate to love, this book had so much emotion in it that I was hooked from start to finish - I just wish it could have gone on longer and now a story needs to be written about Molly and Daryl

I am absolutely in love with Rourke Owens! Chloe Walsh is amazing and has done it again. Given us another alpha asshole and an equally sassy heroine who explode when they collide! An amazing read!

Chloe Walsh has become my favourite author this year in the genre of ya/na romance books for angst. Her writing style just hooked me in and her badass sexy alpha males kept me one clicking her books.

Endgame is a step brother romance book in a class of its own. Its storyline is funny, sexy, engaging, full of emotions, heartache, and the right dose of hate and love, that I was left wanting more when I reached the end. This enemies to lover’s romance book had me soakin

I LOVED IT! Step siblings and BULLY tropes.. you really can’t go wrong!! I loved Mercedes/Six! She was such a strong heroine! Ohhh and Rourke! I just don’t have words for his perfection and a**holeness.

A few things tho.. 1. It could have been shortened. It was a bit repetitive. 2. I wanted the parents reaction! WHY would that not be included?

I managed to get through 15 chapters of this book, but then couldn't proceed any further. The writing was average and lazy, with spelling and grammatical errors, which is a pet peeve and can completely turn me off from a book.

I found the characters incredibly immature and the drama was ridiculous. I found myself laughing at how absurd some of the dialogue was especially considering the two main characters supposedly despised each other. Too many eye rolls and that was enough for me to stop

I want to write a serious review for this book but I can't. I like this book but at the same time I hate it,like how can Chloe write such a beautiful book and give it a stupid ending, just stupid. like what was with the jump in time, when Mercy's mom and stepdad found she and Rourke being very familiar I was like "YES FINALLY THE FUN BEGINS," but no Chloe just had to be stupid and end it there......and I'm like WTF happened after....but she just skipped all the action and just like that bam we're ...more

“Would you like me to stick my foot up your ass?" I asked in a sickly-sweet voice, glaring daggers at the boy sitting across from me. "Mercedes James," Mom growled. "That's quite enough!" "I don’t know. I've never tried it," Rourke shot back, ignoring my mother. He leaned forward and smirked at me. "Would you like to suck my dick?" "Rourke!" Gabe roared, banging his fist against the hard surface of the table. "Don’t you dare speak to your sister like that." Reluctantly, Rourke tore his gaze off me and looked at his father. "She is not my sister." "Apologize," his father gritted out. "Now." "Fine." Rourke waved a hand in the air. "I apologize for offering to let you suck my dick.” 1 likes
