Short intro to an upcoming series. Seems like a great bunch of girls. Looking forward to hearing about each of their stories!

I voluntarily received an ARC of this book from the author.

S Van Horne is giving us a new series to love with Leaving Home, the prequel to The Vow series. This new series follows the lives of five girls Megan, Jess, Cassia, TaLina & Shania who all became friends on the Kindergarten playground & have monthly sleepovers like all young girls do. Will the vow & their friendship made remain in tact as they each go their separate ways to college? Follow the stories of these young ladies t

I was given an ARC copy of this book for my honest review. I am new to the author but I must say, I really like her writing style. Very clear, concise and a smoothness to her writing. This was just a prequel to what's to come. I love how she introduces everyone and gives you a piece of each character. You already know who's the most reserved and who is the most outspoken character. I am looking forward to reading all of their individual stories.

Clearly you are left wanting more but the author c

4.5 Stars!

Leaving Home is a short story prequel to the upcoming full-length series, The Vow.

We are introduced to 5 girls who meet in kindergarten and form a special bond. We get to know a little bit about each character as they grow and once they are 13 they decide to make a vow amongst each other.

I enjoyed the opening to the series and I’m very curious to see what awaits these friends as they all head off to separate colleges. What does the future have in store for their friendship and what wil

The very first thing you need to know is that this is not a full story. This is the introduction to characters that will each be getting their own story. We meet our group in kindergarten where their bond of friendship begins in the playground sand pit. The author includes snapshots of their growing friendship until the night when they make their vow before going off to separate colleges. The author does a good job giving glimpses into who the girls are and how their individual circumstances hav ...more

I loved this book hard. The friendship these girls have for Each other is incredible. I can't wait for this series to hit off and go into them being older. A perfect gory read for what's to come and how they became friends

Many NA books I like, many I skim through though just because I can't find an attachment to the smaller details of the story and want to get to a big event in it.

The Vow though - you start with the 5 meeting as girls and I actually needed that. See, going back in time like that you realize when you're in the present day how much they've built on over the years and now mean to each other. Then you get a current time moment with them. The biggest kicker is this though - they're all going off to d

A REALLY SHORT AND ENJOYABLE READ. IT WAS A GOOD SETTING FOR WHAT THE REST OF THE SERIES IS GOING TO BE ABOUT AND WE GOT TO SEE A GLIMPSE OF EACH CHARACTERS PERSONALITY. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE HOW THE STORY PLAYS OUT NOW THAT THE GIRLS ARE GOING TO COLLEGE.
