Book 7 in The Bugging Out Series

Seven billion people dead. Only a handful of humanity remains. Sides have been chosen. The final battle is at hand.

He's done all that's been asked of him. And more. Now, with the survivor colony in Bandon threatened by a nearby volcanic eruption, Eric "Fletch" Fletcher again must put his life on the line to lead a rescue mission into the hellfire of Mother Nature's fury.

That, it turns out, is only the beginning of his journey.

From the rarefied air of Air Force One, across the war-torn streets of middle America, to the front lines of a desperate battle to save all that they've built, Fletch knows that sacrifices will have to be made.

How close that reality hits to home, though, is something he could not have prepared himself to face.

I'm starting to not see where this story is actually going and at times it feels like it has stalled a bit. I don't understand how Captain Angela would have been targeted clear across the country by the president. The explanation as to why she was preferred to other available officers was somewhat weak and not persuadable. Still, I have come to like a lot of these characters and do want to know what happens to them. I hope this series ends on a high note and not a whimper.

They just keep getting better!

This book was the best yet... not only filled with action but also strong character development. By the time I finished this book , I felt I truly knew these individuals, not as characters in a great action book series but as friends and enemies! Cannot wait for the next one!!!
