While it’s interesting to get a take on Buddy Hackett’s concerns and feelings in the early seventies… ultimately, this sweetly written collection of doggerel is not developed enough to go beyond “War is Bad,” “Peace is Good,” “Hate is Bad,” “Love is Good.”

As as a poet, he’s a better stand up. As a stand up, he was one of the best.
