Did I enjoy it? I really did.

Maris is chasing her dreams of being on Broadway, but she is still teaching voice lessons. You can tell she loves her job, but it is also obvious that she wants more. There are quite a few romantic interests in this book. Trevor is still interested. Kyle is hoping to win her back. And then there is Zack. Not only that, but Beatrice makes her final wishes known. And it is hard for Maris because Beatrice was her last connection to her beloved grandmother. Then, Maris

In See You Later Broadway, the second book of the Broadway series, author Melissa Baldwin weaves a sassy tale that continues to follow the Broadway dreams, life choices and decisions, and complicated romantic trials and tribulations of Maris Forrester.

Set in New York City and told in the first person narrative, the reader was introduced to Maris Forrester in the first book of the series, See You Soon Broadway. The reader followed Maris as she made the decision to move from her hometown to NYC to

The Blurb :
Maris Forrester’s exciting new life is not everything she was hoping it would be. Although she’s happy in her new career, she’s plagued with the feeling that something is still missing. Imagine her surprise when an old friend presents her with an unbelievable opportunity that could change everything. This new career sounds almost too good to be true, including the upcoming trip to London. She quickly learns that even the most perfect scenarios have their drawbacks, and when something

See You Later Broadway by Melissa Baldwin is book two in the Broadway Series, and while I did not read book one, I had no problems jumping right into this story and making friends with Maris. Maris has recently moved to New York City with big dreams of Broadway. While her plans of performing aren’t quite there yet, she is pretty content – until shake up after shake up starts occurring. Between her career, love life, and a sad passing of her grandmother’s friend, Maris finds herself with a lot of ...more

“I have learned that true joy will come if you follow your heart.”

Maris and her dreams are back in the second book of the Broadway Series. Maris wears her heart on her sleeve as she follows her singing path to New York City.

This is a character driven story and the characters are all wonderful. Maris has a new roommate, and still depends on her sister and best friend for support. I liked that she had a strong connection with her grandmother.

Maris approaches her love life with openness and possi

🎵🌁 Is Maris ready for even more change around the corner?😯 Who's the fella at her side?

Format: Kindle Edition
🎶🎤 Heroine Maris is a realistic figure who has so many decisions to make, in love and career. Despite her selfish side, I like this heroine and found this a quick and easy story to read. But, maybe because it's told rather prosaically in the present tense and first person only from Maris's point of view, I felt some of the emotion and excitement just did not come through. I w
The Book Junkie Reads . . .
I did not read book one of this series. I did not know there was a book one or that even this was part of a series. I saw the cover and thought it was cute. Read the blurb and thought that would be a good book to read and take me on a trip. Maris was the woman under the cover and she did not disappoint me. I loved her from the very beginning. She was strong and independent to a point. She accepted the shoulders of her best friend and her sister. She knew her limitations and she knew her dreams. ...more

So many decisions

Maris has many decisions throughout this book. She always leaning on her friends and family to help her make the decisions. In the end she needs to follow her heart as her grandma wrote in her journal and she keeps hearing from people all along this journey. Some people come into your life to stay while others don’t. It was a great follow-up to book one, but I wanted a little more into her future with the new adventure. I’m hopeful for book 3 to be made!

What a great continuation of the series! You often times wonder if the events that are happening to and around you are signs of greater things, and that is what Maris goes through. Everything that seems to happen to her and the decisions she has to make for her future would leave anyone second-guessing themselves. A fast-paced read for your next weekend getaway!
