This is a book for golfers. It is utterly charming and lays out an approach to golf which makes sense and will, hopefully, help my game. Mr. Boomer has a wry sense of humor and no nonsense golf direction.
Loved this book not just because of the golf instruction but also for the style of writing and terminology used by Percy Boomer. Boomer - what a great name for a golf pro. Any golfer can discover something maybe they didn’t know about hitting a golf ball or an explanation of a swing factor that might trigger enlightenment on a notion they don’t quite understand. I especially loved the chapter where Percy is giving a lesson to a mathematician. Just remember that the book was written in 1946 and the author was at his prime in the 20’s and 30’s.
