Plenty of pictures and decently written. The DIY projects seemed a bit on the advanced side, from a very inexperienced DIYer. I felt like a lot of the examples were things that would need a contractor of some sort, that they were geared towards people with plenty of money. I also would've liked more explanations and descriptions to go with the pictures, such as an explanation of "moon gate," which was referenced a couple of times but never explained.
More of an "inspiration book" than a reference book.
Exactly the kind of book I was looking for. Lots of inspirational pictures showing all types of fences. Then educational explanations and illustrations of How To achieve each basic construction type. A book that really does get you going, from planning to basic execution (meaning simply that it doesnt tell you how to build each fence shown in book but gives you basics that can be built upon to achieve them with a little study on your part)
