I read, The Witch blood Chronicles, a spin off to this series first and really wanted to spend a little more time in this UF world. The reason is that it is an interesting blend of Witches, Angel Like Creatures, Demi-Gods, Gods, Demons, Naga, Hellhounds and quite a few other creatures that are not usually at the forefront of more UF. I wasn’t disappointed in the inventiveness of the authors to branch out into less used mythos to bring a new world into focus.

Malina is a pretty fun heroi

Buddy read with my fellow UF addicts over at BB&B.

Malina Hayes is an excellent assassin, adopted by the Head Honcho at Brahma Corp’s Assassin Guild as a child and trained to be an excellent killer of criminals. And she’s just about to make her fiftieth kill, which would mean her first milestone mark, better pay and a better living. But nothing is as Malina thought it was when she finds out just how deeply she has been betrayed by those she trusted.

Instead of getting her fiftieth mark s

Hello, my dearest Urban Fantasy loving GR friends. This short little UF trilogy has badass assassin-turned-into-savior MC, really interesting background (gods and demons walking among humans producing supernatural offsprings with various supernatural powers) and a lot of action. So how comes none of you read it? Please, help me solve this mystery, because it really puzzles me.

This book started out as a 5 star book, but after some thinking, I settled down on 4 stars.

After reading the blurb I was a bit hesitant, because "fate of the world at stake" kind of stories usually pack too much drama for me 🤦🏼♀. By the same token, I never read a book by Jasmine Walt I didn't like (though I'm new to Debbie Cassidy). So I gave it a shot (that is I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review) 👩🏼💻. And boy am I glad I did 💃🏼!

"Marked by Sin" turned out to be a fast-paced, action packed, uber original new-adult paranormal with kick butt characters and numerous plot t

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book and I'm SO GLAD I did! I have read all of Jasmine's collections thus far and I have yet to be disappointed. This is yet another amazingly well written book with such an exciting storyline! It kept me guessing all the way through. The main character Malina is vibrant, headstrong and of course a total badass! I will say I can't decide if I'm on "Team A" or "Team G"! I highly recommend this book and any of Jasmine's other literary works.
This was easily one of the best urban fantasies I've read in a LONG time.

The writing was great, the story was complex but still fun, there were some good jokes, and the world building was incredibly unique and interesting. I'm from Indian decent myself, so I was wary about reading something so close to home because some authors makes it cheesy, but it was not a problem at all. And the plot was fast paced and captivating.

Malina was like the ideal urban fantasy lead. Somehow she's a normal, well

If you are looking for a book with non stop action that is also an urban fantasy then you should really give this book a try.

There was so much I liked about this book. Malina is a very strong female lead, one that won't give up no matter what. Malina also refuses to let anything negative run her life. She wants the good to triumph over the bad, which makes her a beautiful soul.

In this book we discover what Malina really is. She has been lied to all her life about everything, and she also has be

I have read many books written or co-written by Jasmine Walt lately, and I almost can't decide which one is my favorite. This new treasure is no exception, and I utterly enjoyed reading the book.
Malina is an assassin, hard, trained and proficient. Her skills are appreciated by the Guild and her carrier approaches fast an important milestone. With her fiftieth kill, she will ascend to a new level. But before she can be marked, hidden secrets are revealed and her world is shattered to pieces. Mal

I received this book as an ARC in return for an honest review. I had high expectations for this book, having previously read Ms. Walt's Baine Chronicles, and I must say, I was not disappointed! Marked by Sin was an incredibly enjoyable read. Jasmine Walt and Debbie Cassidy have teamed up to bring us this remarkable world of old Hindu gods and monsters with modern London sensibilities.

I found Malina to be a dimensional and likeable heroine. I admire her wit and candor, and she's very emotionally

I was fortunate in receiving and ARC for this fine book. Marked by Sin is a fast paced novel with an intriguing heroine, and it has all the elements of a good read: keeps you consistently interested, original characters, plot twists, and a little titillation here and there. I am so glad that I bought this book! I was completely sold the moment I read the words "ancient Hindu gods". I had never read any of Jasmine Walt's or Debie Cassidy's books but since the ebooks were on sale, I gave it a try.

And I am not at all disappointed.

I loved the fast paced flow of this novel and the urban fantasy London that had been created. I got introduced to new mythological creatures which had me wanting to shove this book in anyone's face.

I don’t typically write a lot of reviews, but this book and these authors deserve one heck of a shout out. Jasmine Walt & Debbie Cassidy’s latest book Marked by Sin is a roller coaster ride and one of the best books in the urban fantasy genre in recent years. The book introduces us to the world of Malina, an assassin with the Brahma Corp’s Assassin Guild who is one kill away from Ascension. Also known as a raise, better apartment, and better rank within the Guild.

What a great, entertaining and enthralling read Marked by Sin was for me. I was a bit apprehensive going into reading this as I wasn't 100% sure if this was a book that I was going to enjoy. However how wrong was I as I just drank this whole book up in one sitting! Food, drink and the need to relieve myself all had to wait until I finished this as I just couldn't put it down. It was exciting. It was something new and it just took me on a magical journey into its world. I floved it.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book had so many feels and I'm still reeling from some of the information that I found out about Malina, her origins and her two sort of love interests.

Malina had always assumed that she was found one day with her origins unknown and was raised to be an assassin. In fact, she soon to do her fiftieth kill which is not only an increase in pay but status. Soon her world crashes around her when learning that not only were the people she kill

Marked by Sin begins a new chapter for co-authors Debbie Cassidy and Jasmine Walt. One that I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of. The blend of the two author's styles is seamless, lending itself to a story that is action, adventure, romantic tension and all kinds of surprises.

The story is of a trained assassin, Malina, on the eve of her milestone 50th kill as assigned by the council. She's been raised and trained since her childhood by the head of the Assassin Guild and she's very good at what

I received an ARC of this book for my honest review. This was phenomenal. It's one of those books you read straight thru and don't put down till it's done. I have read The Baine chronicles by Jasmine and i think that this surpasses that. Malina is my kind of hero. You know how some write female heroes that you want to shake. Malina was none of that.

You start of seeing what Malina is like as an assassin and that would and you like her spunk and the character right off. From her bestie to who she

I am a fan of Ms. Walt’s writing so when I see a book authored or co-authored by her, I am always eager to read it. When granted access to this title, I dived right in expecting a great book. And, yes, that is what I got. The book was well-written, had a very interesting plot, and kept me engrossed the whole time I was reading it. The mythology was very rich, almost to the point I was tiny bit confused at points. However, the authors knew this was going to happen so they very graciously put a gl ...more

This is one very hard to put down book! Malina is adopted by the head of an assassin's guild and taught assassin skills. She is smart, determined, stubborn, and a very good assassin. Malina also has no memory of her past, before she was adopted. She has some great weapons: Vindra (an Indian Jambiya dagger that is 9 inches of curved Damascus steel spelled to always return to it's sheath,) a steel micro-recon blade that flips open to two inches long that is attached to her key chain, poison-fille ...more

When does the next book come out? I was so broken hearten to see that the Baine Chronicles end even through I read other books from Jasmine Walt which are amazing series. However, I am no longer broken hearten. This series will take the place of the Biane chronicles, keep me wanting for more, and waiting impatiently for the next book in the series. The female lead is strong character that does not have that whiny melodramatic persona that some authors try so hard for a strong character that thei ...more

Once in a while you come across an urban fantasy concept that’s truly innovative and original. Jasmine Walt and Debbie Cassidy’s new series, The Gatekeeper Chronicles, is precisely that - and it’s first book, Marked by Sin, is gloriously fun at the same time. This was a wonderfully written book as o have come to expect from jasmine Walt, this is the first book I have read from thee other author. I read this in a day and a half. I was hooked from the chapters I read before it was released. Strangely once I bought the book and started reading it, the story line changed drastically in ways I would not have predicted. I picked up the book and was able to read it in one go while I couldn't sleep at night. I found the concept intriguing and I really enjoyed the world building the authors have in this book. There are no regrets in the purchase on that account.

The only reason I gave it three stars was because of the writing style. In some places, it was really well done where in others it felt rushed or missing the spark the rest of the book had. There were also two points when two characters were speaking, but
