Espers by James D. Hudnall is a comic series about people with psychic abilities. It is the first ever set of comics that I have ever bought and I daresay it has got me addicted. I once read one of the Espers comics back in high school because a friend had them, but I couldn't really grasp them at that age.

Now, onto the review.

The espers in this series are pretty cool. You've got Ian McVicar, a master of time. Jiro Yabuki, controller of electricity and a force to be reckoned with. Linda Williams, who can push her consciousness into technology and access any data within them. Simon Ashley, a man who can create and bend flames to his will. Bill Silent Bear, a man with incredible telekinetic powers. And Maria Rivas, a generator of impenetrable force fields. She can also fly and phase through objects.

These people come together to rescue Linda's father after being kidnapped along with several other people after the police wouldn't help.

The enemies aren't that dangerous compared to the espers in the first series, mostly gun-wielding maniacs, but the amateurish espers are still out of their depth.

The main enjoyment I got from these comics was on the back page where you got to read a little story about each character. It wasn't graphics, more like a novel format, and it detailed their encounters with "the organisation" and showed the use of their abilities.

I plan to purchase, read, and review the other comics in this series as well.
