Kimberly Gordon is an author and mixed media artist from New York City. She was first recognized for her work when she received the National Gold Key Art Award in Washington DC for a Mixed media collage Self Portrait. The piece was also on display at the Smithsonian Art Museum.
Kimberly later received the Maya Angelou award for Academic Excellence for her written and documentary film work in Africana studies at Simmons College in Boston, MA. Since then she has published various works that entertain, educate, inform and enlighten across cultures, groups & mindsets.

A Doll Like Me is a cute story about a little girl with many ideas. Her parents are business owners, so she is driven to turn the ideas into a successful business venue. And that's exactly what she does with what she knows best, dolls.
I found this to be an inspiring story with great illustrations.

My 6 year old daughter was very proud to read an inspirational book with such diversity and a character that looked just like her! A Doll Like Me is a very motivational children's book for any young budding entrepreneur!
