Sometimes what we go searching for has been right in front of us the whole time! A sweet story of finding a sense of belonging even when life doesn't go the way you want. The characters are enjoyable and carry the story to a happy fruition. A little slow in places, but overall a deep and meaningful read!

Savannah Walters hasn't been able to truly find her place in the world no matter how much she's searched. She's a product of her past and can't seem to get her head around the fact that the respo

First in a new series called "A Slippery Rock Novel," this story introduces us to Savannah Walters, lately of Nashville and a country singer, who's committed a terrible wrong and has fled home to the ranch of her adoptive family who've raised her since she was seven years old.

When she runs out of gas out of town, the man who stops to help her is none other than her brother's best friend, Collin Tyler. He owns and runs an apple orchard. Also keeping him busy is his rebellious kid sister, who can

Such a good read!

It takes a while to figure out what exactly Savannah's deal is--which is a bit frustrating at first, but once we have the whole story? It finally makes sense, and from that point on--all the feels. Seriously, there were tears. More than once. Between Savannah and her mom, Savannah and Collin, and Collin and his little sister Amanda, the relationships in this book just slay me. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next for the people of Slippery Rock--Levi, Savannah's brot

Savannah Walters has had an eventful life starting at seven years old when she was abandoned by her parents and left on the steps of the police station. Now at twenty-seven she returns home to Slippery Rock, Mo. after being involved in a scandal. She runs into her childhood crush Colin Tyler when her car runs out of gas. He's not really a welcome sight at this point but who knows what the future may hold. I enjoyed reading this book but found it to be a little repetitious and drawn out. It had i ...more

Can't wait to read the next book.

Slippery Rock, Missouri sounds perfect. I want to live near an orchard. The Tyler's and the Walter's are families you want to know. Stories about small towns and going home are some of my favorites.

One of those... "why did I just read that" moments. I enjoy a good beach read. Who doesn't?

This is not that.

I liked this book a lot, and I love Kristina Knight's writing. I loved the Walters family and most of the other inhabitants of Slippery Rock, Missouri. I can't wait to see the next story in the series.
