Desdemona Smitrovitch is a bad, bad girl. She tried to murder Jarrod Stanislavski’s best friend Zach’s Life Mate. But Jarrod lusts after, er, likes Desi anyway.

Desi doesn’t much like Jarrod, but she sure thinks he’s hot.

Desi has a lot of work to do to make up for her past misdeeds. How do you make nice when you’ve committed murder (like a lot of murder) and what do you do when you’re not so sure you were really the one responsible for those murders?

Or at least that’s what the voice in your head tells you…

Jarrod thinks he can help Desi on the road to becoming a good girl. He has a flogger to help aid him in taming Desi.

Do good girls like floggers?

After Desdemona Smitrovitch nearly kills the Life Mate of the man she wants for the umpteenth time, she’s banished from her clan until she redeems herself. But Desi has no desire to be a good girl…err…vampire. She’s a b*tch and she loves it and no one can tell her otherwise. Especially not do-gooder Jarrod Stanislavski, a vampire who seems hell-bent on sexually frustrating Desi into good behavior. Stranded in Jarrod’s cabin with no place to go and no one to talk to except her tempting warden, Desi uncovers a secret about herself that could change everything.

Desi may have been a very bad vampire, but “Doing Desi” is one very good story. After reading “It’s a Vampire Thing,” I couldn’t wait to see how Dakota Cassidy would turn her nasty villain into a heroine. Desi is more complex than even she realizes, and I won’t spoil the story by revealing why. Suffice it to say “Doing Desi” takes a few twists and turns as Desi and Jarrod argue their way to happily ever after. Whether its protagonists are bickering, biting, or [rhymes with hanging], “Doing Desi” is an exhilarating tale.

How many ways can you say awful? because this "book" deserves everyone of them. Imagine a halfway decent plot where a vampiress kills reincarnations of a woman for like 100 years or so. The woman happens to be the life mate (ie soul mate) of another vampire so when its discovered vamp girl's in big trouble right? well...maybe. She gets turned over to a guy who is her life mate though she somehow doesn't know this for what apparently is murderer rehabilitation. But wait is she really a murderer or does she hear voices? So plot line not great but its an ok start. Except WAIT! thats the best part about this book!!!! The writing is horrendous its so juvenile im pretty sure my cat could write a better book walking across my computer. The almost sex scenes weren't the worst ive ever read but they werent great and the only actual sex scene was downright boring. The disclaimer at the front of the book warns readers of BDSM type material but SPOILER ALERT it was just spanking with a flogger...no follow up just the one isolated event so maybe that disclaimer wasnt really warranted. I was at least hoping for solid sex scenes absent decent writing but i was sadly disappointed. Do yourselves a favor and skip this one!

Desi has found herself trapped in a cabin far from civilization and at the mercy of Jarrod. None of this is to her liking. Desi isn’t one for roughing it and the cabin with its bare essentials is definitely far from her standards, not to mention the whole “at the mercy of Jarrod” thing...
