How To Make A Marquess, is the first story I have read by Eleanor Meyers. Some of the storyline was a bit hard to believe for the era and genre the story is written in.

Lewis Haywood Marques of Lamont is in servitude to the Duke of Wardington for a period of 5 years. What the Heck!!! Lewis is a very rich and poerful Marques, but he is nothing but a slave to this controlling powerful Duke. He does very dangerous missions for the Duke. Now he is being sent to Deliver Wedding Invitations for the

I love the books in this series. They can be read as a series but also as standalone. We were introduced to the characters in other books and they get developed in their own books. This is Phoebe and Lewis's story. Intriguing, sweet romance.

I liked this book. Lewis Haywood, a marquess, told Phoebe to get rid of their unborn baby seven years ago. Since that time, he has made another engagement and broken it. To be able to do that, he indentured himself to a Wardington for several years, not caring what would happen to him and feeling remorseful about what he last said to Phoebe. After seven years and many dangerous missions completed for Wardington, Lewis meets a boy in the candy shop he goes to - - and realizes soon after he is his ...more

Very enjoyable

I would like to say there were several things that bothered me. The 4 to 5 pages between chapters with nothing but fancy symbols. Was it just to add to the page count? Also, the inconsistency in the use of names. At first I struggled to figure out who was who. A formal name was used, then their personal name. But without consistency in the usage.
The last of the book was not proof read very well.

That being said, it was a great story and I enjoyed it. Ms Meyers has great talent. The

A wonderful love story

Another great Wardington Park story. After seven years Lewis and Phoebe are fated to be reunited when Lewis unexpectedly runs into his seven old son and then comes the rollercoaster ride as Lewis realizes he has a son after telling Phoebe seven years ago to get rid of the baby. Lewis has matured since then and is thrilled to be a father. Now he just needs to get Phoebe to agree to marry him., plus he is still indebted to the Duke of Wardington. What a great read. I loved

How to Make a Marquess (Wardington Park Book 8)

The love story of Lewis and Phoebe. Lewis and Phoebe knew each other eight year ago, she had his son and did not tell him. On a job for Duke Warrington he meet her and his son. Has working for Warrington change him or will he run from his son? Great story.

Decent plot but using "lude" for "lewd" is inexcuseable.

Ms. Meyers needs a good editor and a proofreader with language skills.

This book was truly AMAZING. I liked how Ms. Meyers put in almost all her other Wardington stories in this one and I do so love how many are in his debt.

Good story and it keeps the plot going regarding warfington. However a proof reader is lacking in sentence structure. Good

A great read.

It was good read. As always you can look for the unexpected. I like the fact it came from an family point view with a child.

This is a spin-off from 'The Skills of A Scoundrel' (TSOaS). So it's better to read that one first before you read this book.

The story about Lord Haywood and Lady Phoebe Gillard. He was a Viscount of Lamont in TSOaS but not quite sure why he is now a Marquess. Even though this book #8 I think this book can be read right after book 4.

I like Ms. Meyers works however too many stories within a story. I prefer my book focus on one female and male protagonist than several in one book. It could be a

I liked this book, though I thought it was a little shorter than the others in the series. It is clean and entertaining. The last two books in this series were on the boarder line of unclean. I'm glad the author moved away from the line. Clean books are always more entertaining. I liked how the reader can see Lewis mature over the series and it's good he has his own story. There is kind of a big mistake in this book. Lewis is a Viscount, not a Marquess. This is the only book that names him a ...more

Wow. That was unexpected. I didn't read about it before hand, so it was a surprising story. I liked it but don't think it would be very likely. It was good though. Nice for Lewis to get his story. The whole end part seemed really out of place and rushed though.

Really inaccurate phrases, mannerisms, customs, language... So many times the interactions wouldn't have even been allowed. But overall cute stories. You just can't look too deep if you like any kind of historical accuracy. I like how they

Loved it!

I absolutely love reading about these families! And the story of Lewis finding his family is too good to pass up! Exciting plot, great characters, and the way they all intercept is magic! Don't miss out on this one, you will regret it! Does Wardington know everything? Just asking!

I loved this authors refreshing writing style. It was a Regency romance, but with a whole new plot line for me that held me riveted to my Kindle throughout. Lewis, a thoroughly unrepentant rake when he meets and loves Phoebe, causes her to run away from him to France to live with her brother. Shortly thereafter, Lewis realizes what a cad he was to make Phoebe run away from him and when he asks the Duke of Wardington to help him out with a problem he becomes indebted to the Duke for five years, ...more

The story of Lewis and Phoebe

Lewis the Marquis of Lamont is in service to Duke Warrington. He finds himself in Paris on a mission for the Duke. He is delivering invitations to the Wedding of the Duke and Duchess but he has been imprisoned. After a few weeks he is released and meets the man he is to deliver the invite to. While out shopping he meets a boy about 7years old. The child is the spitting image of Lewis and his mother who has recognized Lewis hides because she doesn't want him to see

Eleanor Meyers has done it again! The Wardington Park series has another winner! This is Lewis and Phoebe's story. Lewis has a very complicated life and just doesn't care about his future. Phoebe has a secret that she has keep from Lewis! These two finally make their way back to each other. This book has wonderful characters, intrigue, mystery and love. This can be read as a stand alone book, but makes it more enjoyable if you have read the other books since the characters all build on each ...more

Lewis and Phoebe have love, lose it, and then have the chance to find it again. The characters struggle with some serious consequences created by bad choices. The author does a create job of showing the reader the deep relationships between Lewis and his sister, June, and between Phoebe and her brother, Rick. Wow, what an intricate web the Duke of Wardington weaves! He is the ultimate puppet master. Because I was hoping for a lighter story, the book was more realistic and had too many folks with ...more

Forgiveness, love and intrigue

Eleanor Meyers always find new twists for her regencies and this stand alone book from the Wardington series is no different. Imagine discovering you have a son while shopping in London which is what happens to Lewis. This leads to discovering a past love and it goes from there. Twists and turns leads to a dangerous mission and a conclusion that works for all.
