Born in 1909, Stanley Edward Ayling graduated with an honors degree in history from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University in 1930 and worked for many years as a schoolmaster.

interesting....in this biography, the consensus is that george III suffered from porphyria. that is what supposedly caused his bouts of delirium. apparently, he was not the only one in the hanover line to suffer from it either. good thing his granddaughter, victoria didn't have this. her problem was the fact she was a carrier of hemophilia. this is what happens when there is too much intermarriage.

Of course to Americans George III is personification of evil but that is nonsense. This excellent biography paints a sympathetic picture of a good king in difficult times
