Dark. Brooding. Tortured. Sexy.

Vampires are a mystery, morphing through history from maligned villains to sparkling saviors and back again. They can be the ultimate bad boys, the supreme seductresses, or the evil monsters. They fascinate and repel us at the same time. What other creature can steal into your bedroom in the depths of the night to stalk or protect? What other

My thanks go to the publishers for the ARC of this book.

I have loved reading the anthologies that Pen and Kink have thrown my way previously. They always have a mixture of stories to suit and the best thing? They're all rolled up in one neat little book.

I also just have to point out that I love PNR and anything to do with vampires and the undead so after reading the blurb, knew this would be right up my alley.

Theres an eclectic array of stories to suit all vampire lovers and they range from mil

Hot. Intense. Wicked. Must read.

Sexy vampires. Snarky vampires. Space vampires. Yes, please! This anthology has them and more. Each story immerses the reader into a vivid new world. Fair warning, these are not cuddly vampires. Some are villains, while some are heroes, and some are a delicious touch of both. All are bloodthirsty and masters of desire.

Throughout Ravenous, not one story did I want to stop reading. Flawless pacing and tight writing filled with voice carried from one story to the ne

This is definitely not my cup of tea. Having said that, I still have to say that it's well written and bravely sexual. As a group this is the best of this type of story. It is erotic, but escapes the poor writing that often plagues erotica. If you don't enjoy blatantly sexual stories--and enjoy descriptions of all kinds of sex--skip this one. But if that is your thing, then this will suit you very well. ...more

Hot, sexy vampires... what's not to love?

The standout story was, by far, Forever Dead by Sara Dobie Bauer. I absolutely love the forbidden relationship between these two men. Dario is just... yum. I'd let him turn me. (Not that he would, that's not his style. But still, I'm going on record.)

If you like your vampires hot and the sex even hotter, then this is the collection for you.

The stories in this anthology consisted of so many different mixes that it would not be hard to find some that interest and excite you , The stories were magical, paranormal, sexy, and fun but they seemed to be over with way to fast, I wish a few of the stories would have been much longer. I look forward to reading more books by these authors. Thank you NetGalley and Ariel Jade for allowing me to read this in advance and write a honest review.

Ravenous is the second book in the Triskaidekaphilia Series and is a wonderful anthology of stories that all have the same theme and inspiration- Vampires. Each story is unique to the author, bringing a variety of different takes on the theme.
There are nine contributing authors whose tales range from sweet and sexy, to a little dark and kinky- but all of the nine fantastic stories kept me engrossed right till the end.
There is an interesting, kinky take on a Dom/Sub relationship, a vampi

Eight stories from eight talented authors - this was such fun to read! Eight ideas and eight styles make this one of those collections that you have to keep reading because who knows what the next story will bring!

From a holiday to revolution, these stories will help you look at vampires in a whole new dark :-) I cannot say which is my favourite as all are entertaining and the 'Top Five Reasons Why I Like Vampires' by the editor wraps it all up nicely.

Sex, romance, and vampires. What's not to love? This anthology was by far one of my hottest reads I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Each story grasps you by the heart and by the groin into a fantasyland of mystery and ecstacy. There are two stories of male on male love which weren't my favorites, but romance, like wine, can be appreciated in all flavors. The 2nd story I personally titled 50 shades of sun torture was very erotic. The hottest would have to be the 4th story, my lord. Each st ...more

An anthology about vampires! What's not to love? There is literally a story for everyone in here. Don't like vampires? Thats cool. There's a story where they don't like you either. There's romance and mystery and all the other good things that go along with vampires all wrapped up in a neat little anthology. I can't really pick a favorite. I love each story for its own reasons ...more

With the few reviews this book already had, I was expecting to love this collection of short stories. But I really didn't. In fact, I was kind of bored for most of them. While they each were varying degrees of interesting, none of them really sucked me into the story. And did I really need three pages or more of reading about a vampire giving some dude a shave? No. I didn't. So I skipped those. I did think they were all well written (except for "Light Play" because that one seemed choppy and awk ...more

Each of these books will take you have you experiencing Vampires in various different ways, whether they are Sexy, Hot, Intense, Tortured & even Dark. They have a different way of connecting you to each individual story, that will hook you in some way and captivate you until the very end! I thoroughly enjoyed reading all of these stories that were part of the Ravenous Anthology, but below are the ones that stood out to me in a variety of different ways.

Ravenous is the second anthology in the Triskaidekaphilia series. It has eight delightful short stories. I love this anthology because the stories are a bit darker and unusual. Following are some of my favorites:

Light Play by Jaap Boekestein
I liked this story because it has a BDSM twist in that the Master is a human and the sub is a vampire. It is written in an intriguing way with the reader being the subject of the Master’s attention.

Ravenous by Ariel Jade is the second book in the Triskaidekaphilia series. Each short story is centered around the same theme, vampires. I was so impressed by each authors take on vampires. You grow up with ideas of what vampires are from stories like Dracula or from Halloween figures, but each author sprinkles in their own twist. The relationships in each story were unique as well. At the end of each story I was looking for more and more. I found myself falling in love with characters that are ...more

This is a well put together anthology of eight vampire-themed stories. They run the gambit of heat levels (chaste kissing to smut on the page), genre (Sci-Fi, drama, action, etc), and kink. None of the writing quality was lacking and there were no distracting editing or proofreading issues. Overall this was a fun and quick read.

What follows if a brief recap and my thoughts on each of the enclosed stories.

a spectacular collection of vampire stories. We'll Always Have Rome starts off the collection with its sense of nostalgia as two vampires are reunited in a coffee shop when her husband seeks the illegal cure for being a vampire. Light Play continues the struggles of vampires with a woman receiving sex and blood from her mortal master. Forever Dead, arguably the best of this collection, illustrates the homosexual relationship between a vampire and a vampire hunter against a society of divisions a ...more

Vampires have always been my guilty pleasure, they’re sexy, deceitful, dangerous and not to mention, I have never “met” a vampire that didn’t have a great back story! Despite my interest in vampires, I have never indulged in a collection such as this, but in the spirit of Halloween I figured I would give it a go.
Ravenous exceeded all of my expectations. With a collection of different stories I had expected there would be one or two that just doesn’t cut it for me, but in all honesty I loved them

People have always been intrigued and enthralled with vampires. They are romantic, sexy and hot. They are also dangerous, evil and ravenous. The idea of being immortally young and beautiful is something many people fantasize about. Whatever your fetish may be, this compilation of short stories will surely satisfy you. I found these stories hot and intense. Each story was very different from the next which constantly kept you wanting more. Though each story was shor

I won an ARC [Advanced Reader’s Copy] mobi.file for this book, from the book’s editor Ariel Jade, and the following is my opinion.

As the title for this anthology suggests, the stories in this anthology have been brought together to satisfy the fondness, or to be more succinct to satisfy the almost abnormal love readers have for a specified genre of stories, and in book’s case it would be more stories involving vampires.

The vampires in these stories span a wide variety of these creatures, they ca

I give Ravenous (Triskaidekaphilia, book 2) by Ariel Jade 5 stars.

The was an amazing anthology. Yes, it’s about vampires. Yes, they all revolve around romance. But these things have been done in anthologies before. This book has decided it doesn’t want to be just another vampire romance anthology. And this is exactly where it excels. There are all different kinds of romance angles, some you may not have even thought of. Some are darker, some rise from dark circumstances. Maybe a few have a happy

Normally, short story anthologies don’t do it for me. I get too invested in the short stories, and then they are ripped away from me mercilessly. This short story anthology is another one of those. I love vampires, I love the stories about them, and I loved these short stories. However, after reading each one, i craved more. Ravenous by Ariel Jade is a good anthology of sorts that gives the reader a taste of various short stories about vampires that is sure to sate anyone’s blood lust. The great thing about each of these stories is that not all of them are about the blood and gore, but some include more romance, more suspense or even flat out mysteries. That is what is great about vampire themed novels, depending on the time that the main character became a vampire the story can be taken so many different ways. I ha ...more

A perfect release for "Friday the 13th" and just in time for Halloween is this collection of vampire-themed stories. Each tale brings a different skew on the varying legends of the vampire. Romance, revenge, loneliness, and longing are just some of the emotions used to humanize the vampires as the plot unfolds. In some instances, my wish is to find an entire series dedicated to these characters. Or at least a follow-up story as th
