In this book, Tokyo is plagued by a serial killer like no one had ever seen before: the mysterious murderer was attacking and maiming women, claiming their most beautiful body parts (e.g. legs, breasts, head, etc) as his/her own in order to create The Perfect Woman. Sensing evil curses and dark magic is at work beyond this serial murder case, the police invites the young Detective of the Omens of Death to investigate.

The setting is nice, the characters and their dialogues are well written, the explanation of the mystery is logical, but unluckily I guessed who is the real killer before the final revealing so the killer is a woman instead of a man, and the 'female victim' who escaped with her life is actually the murderer who tried but failed to attack a male victim). Therefore I can't give this book 4 stars.
