Puiki knyga apie smegenis ir depresiją. Paliečiamos ir panikos, nerimo temos. Knygoje pateikiamas tiek idėjos kaityti mintis pagrindimas bei atsiradimo istorija, tiek daug pratimų, kaip kaityti mintis ir vaduotis iš depresijos. Labai rekomenduoju jei kada patyrėte depresiją ar dabar patiriate. Verta įsigyti savo namų bibliotekai.

Mes esam įpratę galvoti apie depresiją, kaip apie kažkokį nesuvaldomą monstrą, bet jeigu suprasim, kaip veikia smegenys, paaiškės, kad tą monstrą galima nesunkiai suvaldyti. Ir net be vaistų.

Iki knygos vidurio atrodo, kad išplėstai ir vis kitais žodžiai kalbama apie tą patį - kaip veiksminga yra minčių kaitymas. Atrodė lyg užsitęsusi įžanga ir kėlė nekantrumą, kada gi bus prieita prie esmės. Paaiškėjo, kad pradžia ir buvo įdomiausia dalis, nes po to sekė pratimai, kurių dalis išplaukę. Bet negaliu teigti, kad knyga visiškai bloga. Tikrai yra gerų minčių ir patarimų.

In my opinion the key points of the book were the following ones:
The main cause of depression can be “self absorbed thinking”. If we focus on ourselves and our feelings too much it can lead to stress inducing thoughts. Thoughts can trigger “Fight or Flight” mechanism in the body as good as real world triggers can. Pirma pusė knygos – kartojimas to paties per tą patį ir daug klaidinančios informacijos. Jau maniau, kad visos knygos esmė ir bus žalia varlė. Antra pusė, kur jau prasideda pratimai – galbūt ir naudinga. Yra dalykų, kuriuos ketinu pritaikyti pati, yra tokių, kuriuos jau ir taip dariau iki šiol.
