I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Bryant A. Loney’s latest work is a contemporary thriller unlike anything I’ve ever read before. Stunningly real characters, nail-biting suspense and breathless plot twists are wrapped up neatly in a coming-of-age page-turner that had me second-guessing myself every few minutes. If you take one thing from this review, let it be this: Read this book. But do it when

To be honest it took me a while to get into this book because the beginning of this book was a bit slow. You’ll get a lot information about Michael his friends and his former classmates but once the action started happening it was impossible for me to put this book down.

The middle of this book was really confusing, I didn’t really know what was going on and what was real and what wasn’t real. There are a lot of twist and turns and you can’t predict what is really

Thank you very much to the author for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book is a psychological thriller, and I don't read a lot of books in this genre, but I really enjoyed it and will probably read more in this genre.
Michael is a senior living in Alabama, but is feeling very nostalgic about his elementary school friends in Oklahoma. He decides to go back and see his friends, but what he finds is not at all what he expects. There's something that happened back in elemen

Summary:

Michael Jackson (no, not the singer) is a high school senior living in Alabama, although his thoughts are preoccupied with Oklahoma and his fifth grade class who he left behind when he and his mom moved to Alabama before he could start sixth grade. In fact, he is so entirely consumed by the nostalgia of simpler times and happy memories with his former peers that he decides to go back to Oklahoma and throw a reunion party in his uncle’s cabin over spring break.
However, when Mich

This story is about Michael Jackson. Not the singer. But a high school senior who was nostalgic about his friends from his 5th grade class. At the beginning, I was not really into it as it was slow and confusing while Loney was introducing Michael Jackson’s life. After a short period though, I was extremely intrigued and couldn’t put the book down. WARNING: Do not read this book in one go because I did and I had a massive

This book I was sent by the publisher, Verona Booksellers in exchange for an honest review. I got so excited, when they reached out to me, because I've been planning on exploring new genres and this book being a YA psychological thriller, is perfect for that. I am always a bit hesitant about thrillers in general because I am a person with very vivid fantasy and these kinds of books definitely make my anxiety lev

I trudged through this solely to find out what the heck was going on and what the meaning of it all was only to find out that, surprise, nothing is actually explained and it’s all meaningless! The writing is very amateur, relying on adverbs and telling over showing. On the rare occasion the main character had an emotion, which was close to never, he would be described as “enraged” or “afraid.” That would be the extent of the description. But for some reason this dude has no reaction to pretty mu ...more

Take Me to The Cat is a psychological thriller about high school senior Michael Jackson who organizes a reunion with his friends from elementary school when things start to get weird. I was sent a copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

The first part of the book is a little slow, but once the reunion starts it's very fast paced and sucks you in. I stayed up way too late reading this one because I wanted to see what was going to happen! I had mixed feelings about som

In this novel, Michael Jackson lives in Dreary, Alabama, but he misses his elementary school friends from Oklahoma. He organizes a reunion party so everyone can meet up and be together again. While in OK, many strange and confusing things begin to unfold, and Michael is confused between reality and what isn't really happening.
So, I finished this and went back and forth with what to rate this because there were things I really liked, some I thought were okay, and some I'm just still confused on.

I would like to send a thank you to the publishing company who sent me this book in exchange for an honest review. My opinions and takes on the book are in no way influenced on the exchange of this novel.

Loney's story of Michael Jackson and his search of his elementary friends reels the audience into intriguing story, but falls short with its confusing writing and meanings making the book an utter mess. The organization of multiple points of view, along with the language used for the novel made

It was different that’s for sure and caught me right off guard, I read it in a day. Having moved around a bit myself I understand the looking back to what ifs, the rose-tinted nostalgia but as Michael soon learned sometimes things are buried for good reason..

I have to admit I spent half of this book confused as to what was real and what wasn't. The author has a great talent for writing conversations between characters but the first quarter of the book was just that....a long conversation. Once it got going it kept me engaged and even had a few scary moments.

I enjoy reading thrillers and I don’t read enough of them as it is so I figured this would be a good chance to read one. I had some problems with this thriller though. I didn’t like the story like I thought I would. I feel like it was very jumbled and confusing. However, the author does have purpose a
