She’s temptation personified
Nathan’s always been more than just my dad’s friend. I never thought he'd see me as an adult, especially not after avoiding me for so long. But one hug, one moment feeling every inch of him against me, shatters that illusion. Consequences no longer matter—I’m eighteen, and I’m willing to risk everything for my shot with him.

I can honestly say that I didn’t read past the title of this book to know I had to have it. An author friend tagged me in a post and I had to beg for a copy. And just so you all know just how badly I needed this book – I don’t really ever ask for an ARC – I don’t blog so I can’t really sign up for them and I’ve been lucky to have a solid group of authors that allow me on their review teams, so I rarely venture out to add more to the already crazy to do list. But this one... yeah, no shame – I be ...more

I’m a sucker for forbidden love, and even more so when there’s an age gap between the characters. Do I like it in real life? not really, but I LOVE it in my books. When I heard that Brighton Walsh was pairing up with another author under a pen name to write a new series that would be the definition of a May/December, I couldn’t WAIT to get my hands on it. And let me tell you, I marathoned the whole series back to back, that’s how fun and dirty this series

I secretly love May to December romances... well, I guess it isn't a secret anymore LOL! I love that there are these two characters that no one would ever think to pair together, but for whatever reason they just seem to click and for the most part not just on a physical level.

London Hale takes the May to December romance and adds an extra hiccup to it...

Damn, Daddy's Best Friend was HOT!! *fans self*
Yes the subject might be a little taboo but I wasn't bothered at all by either the age difference or that Nathan is best friends with Eve's dad.

Both Nathan and Eve are good people who have been attracted to each other for a long time.
Nathan has struggled with his feelings and tried to keep away but the heart wants what it wants.
I loved how both Nathan and Eve are open and honest with each other.
They have amazing chemistry and dear lord did

As soon as I saw that Brighton Walsh was writing under a combined pen name, I was all over it. She's an auto-buy author, so I didn't even need to know what it was about.

I liked Eve and Nathan and I wasn't bothered by the age difference. They're both good people and respectful and it was sort of adorable how everything unfolded. Filthy af, sure, but adorable.

I could have easily read an entire book about them and absolutely hope we get to see them again in the next story of the series.

Shoutout to Nick for putting this series on my radar!

Daddy's Best Friend is a short, addicting and hott af novella that I devoured in one sitting. I'm actually not a big of the "falling for daddy's best friend" trope in erotica, but gaahh the chemistry and writing was so good and I liked the characters and the dramatics were kept to a minimum which was a plus for me. London Hale has easily become one of my go-to authors for erotica romances and I'm totally here for the rest of the

This is super fun - I will probably give it a B-

The "minus" because I just wish it had a little more tension and lead up to them having a physical relationship. I get it's 118 pages so I was expecting fast book, but I wanted a little more naughty tension. And maybe not a solid I love you at the end.

But otherwise I had fun reading this. The hero is so growly and omg I have to have her forever, immediately or my cock will explode.

And the next book is the dad of the heroine! LOL. :)

Daddy's Best Friend is the height of smutty goodness. I loved every moment of this quick, dirty, taboo read -from the alpha, possessive, neanderthal hero, to the feisty, not afraid to go after what she wants heroine and the smoking hot sex, it all just worked so hard for me.

If you're in the mood for a quick, filthy read I highly recommend this book it will short circuit your brain, leave you breathless, hot, bothered and aching for more. I CANNOT wait to read the next book in the
Definitely hot, most likely taboo and absolutely a guilty-pleasure because 'Daddy's Best Friend' delves into a very particular aspect of what most people deem as forbidden in certain relationships. And somehow this in particular, gets me panting.

A barely-legal adult with a man who's probably twice her age will get frowns here, but age differences don't bother me too much (to some extent at least) and London Hale writes this new relationship with smutty confidence, which I appreciate.

I didn't realize this was a novella. It super short (I read it in about an hour or so) and super dirty. Overall enjoyable if you like a dirty read and May to December romances. My issue was that because it was so short, everything went from zero to sixty a little too fast for me. I wanted a little more sexual tension with such a forbidden romance and there just wasn't time for it in the amount of pages the story held. I am interested in reading the next novella in the series as we get get a glim ...more

Y’all, this was hot. Really fucking hot. It was also totally addictive. I devoured it in about an hour. Hell, I went in to pull quotes for my review and ended up reading it a second time. So, yeah.

I don’t tend to read what I classify personally as straight up erotica. Don’t get me wrong, I like my romance filled with lots of details and dirty talkers. But more often than not, I also need the story and the feels. I enjoy the romance side of the bo

This is really different you guys. It's taboo material but it's sweet and has heart. That's the only way I can describe it. It did not read like a porn clip, which is how these stories usually read. AND, there was nothing OTT about it. If anything, it was a bit understated. The story read like there should have been more depth to it but the subject matter/story line doesn't usually call for it. As an avid reader of this trope, it weirded me out a bit.

I really enjoyed this story. there's nothing

This book is so hot and steamy and basically defines guilty pleasure. This book was easy to devour and devour it I did. Nathan and Eve are such a taboo relationship, but as a reader you don’t care at all. They are so hot together and it just works. Nathan has a real dirty mouth and whoa *fans self*. Is the relationship kinda unrealistic? Of course. But that’s also what makes it great. It’s a fantasy and an escape. This is a super quick and steamy re

It's no surprise to me that two authors whose words I've been reading (and enjoying the hell out of) since oh, 2009, have teamed up to make a powerful duo of dirty deliciousness.

Despite its short length, this quick little novella is worth the hour (or less) it will take you to read. If you're not afraid of taboo topics and enjoy sweet and steamy smut, these girls have got exactly what you're looking for. ;)

Loved it.

I'm a sucker for a good May-December romance, and this short little gem is a great one. The storyline was believable and the romance sweet, loving, and steamy.

Just one bite of the apple

This first book in Temperance Falls series is sinfully good. Eve tempted her dad's best friend Nathan like no other. For a whole year Nate tried to stay away from Evie after he seen her in that sexy as well bathing suit and had all those not so pure thoughts of her. Things and ways he wanted to do with her. At Eve's graduation party Nate shows up and while talking to his buff Brandon, Eve's father , Brandon calls Eve over. She's happy to see he came. She's been in love
This is another book I read because of Nick. I really need to create a Goodreads shelf for these books. There are a lot of them. She's been reading this series and getting all excited about them so I figured I'd give the first one a chance (I mean, it was 99p and only about an hours worth of reading).

So what did I think?

It wasn't as terrible as the title makes it seem. I mean, Daddy's Best Friend? If that doesn't scream porn I don't know what does. And yes, this book is erotica, all about the s

5 hot as HALE stars!

(I couldn't resist.)

London Hale is the pen name of writing duo Ellis Leigh and Brighton Walsh. It's my first time reading either of them and now that I've had a taste, they're going on my TBR again for sure--individually and as London.

Daddy's Best Friend is the first book in the Temperance Falls series and it's taboo romance at its best. Eighteen-year-old Eve has her eye on her dad's best friend, Nathan. Both Eve and Nathan know how wrong their attraction is, but one day they

This novella is the debut work of one of my favorite PNR authors (Ellis Leigh) and a new-to-me author (Brighton Walsh) under the pen name London Hale and it is HOT, HOT, HOT!! It is about the forbidden attraction between an older man and his best friend's daughter. Nathan tries to stay away from Eve as she becomes older and blossoms into a woman right before his eyes, but when she expresses the same feelings for him at her HS graduation party all bets are off. Temperance Falls is still a small t ...more

London Hale is a new author for me, and I found her because I was looking for exactly this trope: older man and younger woman. I got exactly what I wanted here, and I enjoyed every minute of it! The attraction between Eve and Nathan predated the book, which I liked. They'd been aware of each other for at least a year, and that made the fast pace work so well. She'd been planning to seduce him; he'd been fighting his attraction.

The writing was excellent, the set-up great, execution perfect. I'm a

So, I was a little worried that the subject matter would be kind of gross. Part of me hoped for less of an age difference than expected when I picked it up. But the book is really well done. This is a hot, slick read. I went through the whole thing in one setting. If you're looking for something fast-paced and sexy, this is a great book for you. I can't wait to read the next one.

Introducing The Enormously Talented London Hale

Absolutely remarkable book. I love it. I am so happy I found this author. It's a shortie but it's just the type of book I love to read. There is just something about a May/December romance that is so hot.

Eve has had the hots for Nathan for years and the fact that he is her dad's best friend doesn't concern her at all. Now that she is 18 she's not going to take no for an answer or let anything stop her. How can Nathan refuse?

OMG Hotness

Wow do I love this book. Nathan is such a dirty talking sexy alpha man cop. I want one of him. He tried so hard to resist Eve. I liked Eve in being a very mature 18 yo. She knew her mind and dug her heals in to get it. She wore Nathan's resist down and stood up to her Dad. Great start to this author, can't wait for next book The DILF.
3 1/2 stars. I really like it, it's just too short. Ends at 68% and the rest is previews. Little bit of storyline cliffhanger but definitely an HEA. Next book is available on KU so no problem.

The synopsis pretty much tells the story. The h is surprisingly mature and in no way tstl. It was sexy and the reveal and reactions were realistic. Just wanted more.

Short and hot read, about Nathan and Eve.
She's 18 and he's in his early 40s.
Nathan has known Eve since she was born, as he is her father's best friend.

A story capable of being read in one sitting as it's only 118 pages.
Devoured in once fell swoop and diving into the sequel DILF tomorrow.

I do adore a good taboo read
